The location is unbeatable, sitting right on a pristine sandy shore perfect for long strolls, with crystal-clear water ideal for swimming. Having our own private wharf was a real highlight, offering easy access to daily dive boat pickups and drop-offs. We also found it incredibly convenient to flag down a water taxi to West Bay directly from the end of the dock. Several excellent restaurants are just a short walk down the beach. The management team, particularly Fran, truly went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was flawless.

The beach right in front is beautiful, and the water is quite shallow, becoming waist-deep only about 150 yards out near the buoy, which I waded into a couple of times. Watching the gorgeous sunsets from the deck was the perfect touch to an amazing stay.

We especially loved the pool, which offered stunning sunset views and was great for a morning dip. The host’s communication was excellent, and the one-hour late checkout was a welcome bonus. I highly recommend booking through them. Just keep in mind that there are many stairs on the property, so it might not be the best fit for guests with mobility issues.

The location is unbeatable for dining and activities; Tranquil Seas is only a three-minute walk away and offers excellent food and dive services. For an evening meal, Blue Bahia Grill is a fantastic option just a short stroll past Tranquil Seas. Highly recommended!

A heads-up: the house is at the very end of West End, where the road turns to dirt for the last few hundred yards. It might feel a bit isolated for some families, so ensure your rental car has sufficient ground clearance. Also, since there is no turnaround at the gate, you will need to back out of the driveway. If you don’t mind these details and prefer an authentic local vibe without sacrificing comfort, the value here is unbeatable. Highly recommended for a trip to Roatan!

We also loved the comfortable couches and the convenience of having an ice maker and bottled water on hand. The outdoor amenities were a huge hit, particularly the pool and the provided grill with propane. One major plus was the automatic generator, which kept us running smoothly during the frequent local power outages. The location is fantastic for exploring Roatán, being just a short drive from both West End and the beautiful West Bay Beach. Climate control was efficient too; despite using the AC heavily every night and occasionally in the main room, our weekly electrical bill was a reasonable $80. We also enjoyed the local wildlife, spotting agoutis, lizards, and even McCaw’s macaws almost every evening at 5 pm. The internet was fast enough for streaming Netflix on the large TV, though DirectTV signal could be a bit finicky during bad weather. There were a few minor quirks to be aware of. The WiFi had some connectivity issues with the smart TV, and while the management team was incredibly responsive—installing a new router quickly—it did take nearly a week to resolve. We also noticed water seepage into the common bathroom and near the second bedroom door during rain, along with two roof leaks. Additionally, the private cove beach was quite rocky and rough, making it less ideal for lounging or snorkeling than the photos suggested, and overgrown vegetation has obscured some of the views. When we arrived, the cove was littered with ocean trash, though it was cleaned up shortly after. Still, with Roatan Property Management being so attentive and helpful throughout our stay, these were small price to pay for a relaxing vacation.

The view there is breathtaking. Throughout both stays, Tanisha was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend Roatan Property Management.
