Authentetic interior allows to back to a more a the hundred-year Kyiv autmosphere. Accopanying to it the waiters got used to the role of those times afford to clients reccomendarions and always ready to assist makes the Pervak one of the favourite restaurant in Kyiv.

A really cool shop in the center of Kiev. totally crazy atmosphere and very good food selection. The staff was very friendly and also advised us well. The beer was very good. Here goes aufjedenfall again. (Addendum: The second visit the disaster, waiter inattentive, writes nothing with the order and then forgets half .. Understand the logic not an apology there was not = bad service. Was probably the last visit here)

Very nice ambience but unfortunately the food is only average, the service extremely slow and the prices too high.

Very good place, with amazing quality and variety of Ukrainian food. Be aware of the prices, that sometimes are not that Ukrainian.

Last week we ordered delivery of 2 business lunches (# 3), frozen dumplings and sweet nuts. The business lunch included borsch, meat with fried potatoes, olivier. The quality of the dishes is lower than any dining room. The borsch was cooked from frozen vegetables, they are bluish in color, taste sour and tasteless. The meat is similar to the sole in taste and texture. Dumplings as dumplings - nothing special. Either the establishment treats business lunches (not cheap at all), or delivery in general. The situation is completely unclear. We will not order or recommend anything more.

Unrealistically cool place! We managed to go twice and twice we were able to surprise and pamper. The food is tastier than delicious, the service is like dear guests. The quality beats the price. The waiters are the nicest people! Thank you so much for this atmosphere!

Great food, a bit touristy, but more than fair prices, in a great location, what more can you ask for?! Try the Vareniki with goat cheese and mint, you won't regret it!!

Excellent dining experience, great food and quality. Presentation is top class, setting is lovely, staff are very good.

What started out as a good experience slowly got worse and finished on a horrible note.
After we didn't receive one of the dishes we ordered It took us over ten minutes just to flag any waiter down to find out where it was. Finally it was bought to the table and was stone cold.
We then sent it back and asked for a fresh plate as it was a soggy mess, cold mess only for the chef to reheat it and bring it back to us..still a soggy mess, only this time half cod half hot. A This is not acceptable, even from a restaurant of this size.
When we received the bill we questioned the price of the wine. What i asked for had not been bought out and as a result we were charged an excessive amount for two glasses of the wrong wine. The waiter got incredibly defensive and as a result of his mistake we were left to pay the difference.
Really sour note to finish an otherwise decent meal.

Excelent Ukrainian traditional restaurant. Very pleased personel. Tasty and cheap food. Definitely recommend Ukrainian smoked bacons (salo) with "hrenovuha" (Ukrainian traditional drink)

Amazing little restaurant, went for dinner for two nights while in Kiev. High quality food for reasonable prices, and one of the best sex on the beach cocktails I've ever had.

Typical Ukraineian cuisine, might be interesting for a tourist. Important to mention that the place itself considered as posh for some reasons I didn't noticed really. Service, food, people, prices? All was okay. I dont know.. not my thing

Place with good business lunches and unlimited salad bar. One of the best places with local cuisine.

This was the restaurant a taxi driver recommended to me on my arrival in Kiev. I really liked the food and the atmosphere + complimentary shots! We did make a booking and it was quite busy on the day we were dining - but good places tend to be like this. I'd highly recommend to visit.

The kitchen and wine are simply superb for such a price tag. Though in the center, but quiet enough. I did not have time to get tinctures

Wonderful place right in the centre, nice look and feel inside. The traditional Ukrainian food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We got a free shot of some vodka mixed with something, and accompanied with a red hot chilli. The menu comes as a book with great pictures of each dish. I had the left of lamb and rabbit, I was hungry, and they were delicious

Nice place with a national flavor. Almost all waitresses have a color of at least 3 sizes. They are treated with tinctures. Recommend.

Brilliant place. Well deserved top place in the ranks. The choice was vast and the food very tasty.

Complete disaster, almost to a criminal degree. The waiter, who at first glance made a friendly impression, suggested plates of diverse foods. While it took very long to get food and drinks and getting everything on the table, the big surprise came in the end: THE BILL! No matter how low your accounting standards are..., getting a piece of paper with an arbitrarily figure written on is simply unacceptable. After some disagreement with the waiter, we wanted to pay with credit card. The option was denied with the excuse, that there are some troubles with the credit card machines as their provider is running a systems update(!) Wow! Stunning! After another disagreement, we were told, it takes some twenty minutes until the "credit card system" is online again, which to their surprise we decided to wait out. After half an hour, that "credit card machine" miraculously worked again, and we were presented with a receipt in Cyrillic only. Stupid tourists can't read it anyway, right? Well: most us of had Russian in their curriculum in school, so it was also clear we were being ripped of. Sick of the argument we paid... Food? Drinks? Who cares... - i strongly advise to AVOID this place.

The original interior. The portions are small. Borsch is not authentic. Prices are in St. Petersburg. The restaurant is oriented more likely to tourists. The second time it makes no sense to go.

Excellent restaurant ... The best we visited in a week. Cozy, beautiful, three rooms, a bar, live music, everything is delicious, the waiters are kindly not boring. I ll definitely visit again if I m in Kiev.
