If I was rating the food only I would rate it 5. Small but delicious menu. The staff was not so friendly. When we went in it was crowded but some seating available. We were told we had to take ours to go...However other people coming were allowed to eat there. This is a nonreservation style restaurant. After a while of watching I noticed the staff was much more friendly to the college crowd then older over 40 such as myself.
I decided to set and eat my food there at a table like I wanted in the first place. It was served in a box without silverware unlike others that were served on plates. The food was delicious. ... the blatant ageism not so much.

I love Louisville Jerky so I had high hopes for this place, but I left disappointed. I had the Farby, which was made with such a sweet bun that I felt like I was eating dessert instead of a savory sandwich. I also ordered the mozzarella sticks which fell apart as soon as I picked them up. I did like the loaded potato salad and the buffalo chicken dip. I might come back when they open the full restaurant and hopefully have the kinks worked out.

Great experience. Tried the Chick-faux-le and Mc-Fib sandwiches with seasoned fries and Mac n cheese. Everything was super tasty and 100% vegan. Employees were friendly, service was fast, and prices were fair. The portions were a good size and filling. We will be back for sure

I love the food period! The customer service is great too, unless they mess up your order. I ordered there three nights in a row because the food was so darn good. They messed up my order and gave me the wrong item. It was too late to go back so I ate it, and let them know what happened the next day. I was not offered a discount or refund on their mistake. I was shocked. I didn't ask for a refund because I really like supporting vegan businesses, but I eat their so much and I was surprised that they did not offer to correct the mistake in any way. I would give 5 stars otherwise. The food is amazing.

After trying every single vegan mac and cheese I could find, I finally found one that I like. Their chili mac and cheese is amazing and I would highly recommend it. I did not like their buffalo ranch chicken salad because I found it to be way too saucy and spicy. Coming back forsure.

Stopped by this place today during our vacation in Louisville. One of the better vegan places I've ever been to, and I have been a vegetarian for a long time. The chicken sandwich was crazy good and the buffalo wings were delicious. We'll definitely return if we made another trip to Louisville!

I had the philly cheesesteak fries. Delicious but don't go here looking for healthy vegan food it's comfort food. And everything I've had has been so good. The chik faux le sandwich is one of my favorites along with the taco salad. Waffle fries are amazing. My nephew got Mac n cheese and he loved it not knowing it wasn't real cheese. I eat pretty healthy most the time but I do make room for comfort food once in a while and this is the first place I go. I'd recommend to those who aren't obsessed with kale and raw foods.

Vegan food has finally reached the level of mediocre fast food. Nobody would give a real beef n cheddar five stars but the farby is a miracle even if it isn't quite as good. Likewise the Buffalo wings are no bw3 but they're nothing to complain about, at least as good as a home cooked value brand. Having been vegetarian for fifteen years now their food actually makes me miss the real thing... But the real thing was never all that great... But I'm super excited to have a chance to have this as an option.

Crowded even at 3:30 pm on a weekday. I tried the Impossible Burger and dill potatoes. The burger was delicious and the potatoes while not the creamiest ever, were also quite good. I was impressed by the quality and flavor of the food. I hope that the restaurant will continue to inspire sustainable cuisine.

First timer here! I went soon as they opened on a Friday for lunch. I have the Backyard burger w/ fries and the Chicken Parmesan sandwich w/ Mac & cheese. I am not vegan. However, the fact that the Mac n cheese tasted cheesy was so confusing mentally because it s not cheese! Lol it tasted delicious as did everything else! I WILL be coming back to experience more from the menu. The workers are pleasant. I sat in the patio area which was lovely as well. I wish I didn t have to come inside for a refill. That was my only con.

Stopped in for first time today with the girlfriend. They were sampling the buffalo chicken dip and Miyoko cheese and both were awesome. The muffuletta sandwich is bomb, as well as the potato salad. Even ran into someone I know working there, Tony, made the first time even better. This place has 'dope vegan food' and they aren't lying.

The best thing to ever happen to the Louisville food scene IMO! They even have a nice little store in the back that carries some great Vegan options.

I suggest Morels Cafe for anyone who wants some good food no matter if they are Vegan or a meat eater.

Cons: I know you added a backyard but the place needs some more seats or a second location.

I agree with the many rave reviews! Vegan junk food that a carnivore like me will enjoy! I had the faux roast beef sandwich and it was a sloppy yummy mess of a vegan fast food feast. The fries were good too. The place has a great vibe, cool atmosphere and if the weather is nice, don't miss the beautiful and relaxing outdoor back patio pergola. Only ding I'd give to my visit was it took a tad long for the food to come out, but no biggie.

Love this place. Easily one of the best vegetarian places in Louisville. I got their fake version of Arby's roast beef, called the "farby". So good! And, if you get the curly fries on the side, they give you tons of them. My only criticism is the drink offerings could be better. Flavored water mostly.

My husband got the "impossible" burger. He inhaled it, but I got a tiny nibble. It's been a very long time since I've had a real burger, but to me, it tasted like the real deal. He said the toppings were great too - fried onions, steak sauce and faux mozzerella.

We will always go back!

The bulgogi tacos aren't on the menu every day, but they might be the best tacos I've ever had.
The Buffalo wings are a perfect amount of heat, great texture, and are a perfect match with the ranch sauce.
Morels has quickly taken the spot of my favorite restaurant in Louisville.

Holy! Not only is this place adorable, but the food is amazingly. I went with a table full of meat eaters, yet everyone enjoyed their meat alternatives. We actually decided to try out Morel's because my friend has a severe egg allergy. She was able to enjoy a breaded "chicken" sandwich and a donut. Which is such a treat for someone with an allergy that typically has to avoid those foods at all cost.
