Dr. Hennessey and assistant Cory are outstanding. Very professional and responsive, even on weekends, and kind with my horses. She encourages questions, and I can send pictures with my emails to show her what the concerns are. And she's always been either timely to appointments OR calls to tell me there's a delay. I've had a lot of equine vets over the years, and Dr. Hennessey is one of the very best.

Dr Hennessy is excellent vet. She knows exactly what she's doing and is able to communicate her knowledge to owners to better help horses. Her prices are excellent and you can tell she takes great pride in her work. I called her for an appointment and she called me back that night despite having already closed. She's taken great care of my own horses, as well as the horses at the barn I work at.

Katie and Cori are absolutely amazing. I have worked with them for many years from when I arrived to Florida in 2012 through the birth of my foal, who is now 6 years old, and continue to use Polk Equine as my exclusive horse vet. I have never gone elsewhere. Katie is extremely knowledgeable and both she and Cori are wonderful with my horses. On several occasions I have reached out to Katie and she has assisted me without even having to make a farm call. Prices are fair and care is beyond excellent. If they treated dogs and cats, I would have no other vet. This is as close to having your best friend taking care of your horses without your best friend taking care of your horses as you can get!

The traumatic experience that s having medical intervention to your beloved horse was much easier to deal because of the professionalism of the Dr. and his staff they were great I recommend them highly no one else will ever touch my Thunder!!

Dr. Hennessy and Cori are fabulous. I have always felt supported and confident with this team taking care of my two boys. I have had emergencies with both of my horses and they have always given them fast and thorough care. They care about my horse's wellbeing as much as I do. I've had horses for 20 years and this team has been caring for my horses for more than 6 or 7 years now and I've never been disappointed in their care.

Dr. Hennessey has helped us through some pretty challenging situations with our horses . She always follows through and also calls to check on her patients. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and also will refer out if she thinks specialists are needed . She is very accessible .I try not to bother her during off hours but the few times that I have , she always responds which I appreciate. I highly recommend her for your equine medical needs.

Dr. Hennessy had to come out late at night when my horse was mauled by a pack of dogs. She was very caring and very sympathetic. We decided Angel was suffering, so we concluded that the best course of action, as hard as it was to do, was to put her down. She soothed Angel, gave her pain meds, a tranquilizer, and then put her to sleep. She then asked if I wanted some tale hair and mane hair and proceeded to take care of it. Her fees were very fair and I couldn't have asked for a nicer Veterinarian. I highly recommend her.

I cant say enough about Polk Eq. they have always seem very happy to see you and can calm the situation treat your horse and tell you what is ahead always there when appt.time is .i would recommend them to anyone .. Great caring team..

They have come asap with every foaling we have had. They have provided full care to our horses-annual vaccines and exams, foal care, teeth floating-Dr. Hennesey calls us within a day of two to check how things are doing. Always returns our calls and texts in a timely manner-We just can't say enough good words! We consider ourselves very blessed to have Dr Hennesey and Cori!

Katie and her vet tech are the most caring and compassionate equine team I've used. They are my "Go to" team for all my horse needs.

I wasn t able to have my normal vet come out to do my mare s vaccines and get her coggins done so I contacted Dr. Hennessy and she was able to see me that same week! Dr Katie Hennessy is amazing. She has been our vet for 3 years and we couldn't be happier with her and her assistant Corey.
Sept of Last year my 10 year old gelging became entangled in a barbed wire fence.
We found him that way after we were away from home for several hours. Dr Katie came as soon as I called her. It was on Saturday and she didn't hesitate. The wounds on my horse were gruesome and I absolutely credit Dr Katie and the good Lord for saving his life.
Dr. Katie surtured the gaping wound all the way around his entire leg from about 6" below the stifle. Today, Keanu has a scar and not at all what you would expect and he his sound! We know we were very lucky, but we believe a large part of that luck was that we had Dr Katie to care for our boy. Thank you Dr Katie!

It s hard to find a vet who will actually see goats, let alone be knowledgable about them. The fact that her and her staff are so friendly and great with the animals is the cherry on top. So thankful to have discovered Dr. Hennessy!
