You mean what's not good here? We couldn't get a table just because both my friend and I weren't drinking and wanted to do hookah. The bar had no seats and the hostess was rude and mean saying she couldn't serve us hookah if we weren't eating or drinking even after I said I'll drink!

I've attempted to dine here twice but each time was a no go. Since I have never dined here my rating is based on my overall impression of this place. Both times I came it was very crowded which should be a good sign but the crowd is not my style. The last time I visited my husband and I were first seated downstairs in a corner table and surrounded in very close quarters with others who were smoking hookah. It felt like we were having a night out with the strangers (we wanted to enjoy a more private evening smoking hookah). We asked our hostess to reseat us and she brought us upstairs to another area that was very crowded and again it felt like we were having a night out with the people at the tables surrounding us. It seems like a good place for people who don't mind sharing tight space with strangers and for people wanting to mingle but it's not a good place to enjoy a private date and hookah. Not my type of environment but others may find a good time there.

I was completely appalled by the service we received in this place. The food was mediocre and tasted very bland. Automatically charged us 20% gratuity but did not provide the adequate customer service. Could not do basic math or even want to split the check. Make sure you look at your check before paying. Rip off!

Love this spot. Usually come here for happy hour and hookahs.

They have several varieties of hookah. Everything is clean and they deliver it very quickly.

Full bar, in case you were wondering. Since I know some hookah spots don t serve booze but this place does.

The food is also very good and they often have a happy hour menu.

Love the music, always have a good DJ or playlist spinning. Kind of a low key lounge vibe but mix of hip hop, r&b and top 40 usually.

Great for a date or with a group of friends. It does get pretty packed so recommend not going too late I m talking to you, foreigners.

This is my second time here and I think its better to go on a weekday or when it's not a 3 day weekend. I do agree with the other reviewers, I too was told I had to return my table by a certain time, I didnt think anything of it. My fiance and I were served out appetizers and our main dishes at the same time which was odd but got over it because The food was SO GOOD and also the hookah, though it took almost 30 minutes to have the coal changed after telling the waitress, so thats a downside to the weekend but besides that, will be returning :)

Wow what an experience. This is a very busy and crowded venue and I can see why. The hookah was amazing, they were constantly changing the coals and the wait staff was very attentive even though we had s party of 30. The food was surprising amazing. The wings were delicious and the platter for two was delicious.

The shisha, hummus, chicken wings and lamb burger are amazing! The service is always wonderful and the ambiance can't be beat (despite what their shoddy street would suggest- truthfully, its not as bad as some other locales I've seen). Highly recommended! The only issue is the price is a bit steep but its a nice joint for birthdays or other occasions.

Poor management . The host needs training. The tables are tiny for people who are tall. So we try to work things out by sitting side by side and combine 1 additional of the 20 open tables to make us comfortable. We were told that they will have to escort us from the restaurant because they cannot accommodate us.

Seriously, this place is the SADDEST EXCUSE for a NYC club EVER! Please save yourself some time and money and go to a better part of town and better establishment. The music is terrible and the people who work there are horribly rude for no reason. News Flash! Pergola isn't that awesome and there are literally 100s of other places to go in this city. I would rather walk barefoot in the NYC subway system then step foot in this POS place.

Girls on the phone are rude and highly unprofessional! When called to make a reservation, the girl answered the phone said you don t need to make one just walk in and when we walked in the manager said you need a reservation. Really? Bunch of lunatics turning away valued clientele and giving business a bad reputation! This has happened several times and we will never come back or send 50 employee of ours.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. First, we were seated in a place that had water leaking from the ceiling. Second, the service was so slow to the point where i had to request service. Third, in between our meals we were moved from one table to another because another large party had came in! The food wasn t the best and the shisha was trash. When asked for the bill, we were forced to pay the 20% gratuity.. When I told them what the problem was, two waitresses were rude and got up in my friends face to make us pay. Completely unprofessional!! Do not recommend!

Cool concept. Average food. Average service. My review is only for dinner as I didn't try to go for brunch.

Pretty cool place to go in a nice event. They always pass old-school movies while you're eating. Last time we were there it was the Wizard of Oz.

Service was very very slow, and they made some mistakes with the bill. The waiter was also not very friendly. Food was super average. If you want to come to impress your date, this is still a nice place to come, but don't come just for the food, as there are better places in town and for the price.

Whether you are traveling or something New York natives will take on a gourmet tour of Greenwich Village, I beleive everyone will like it. Not only can you learn about local food, but our tour guide, SEPH is sure to provide us with a history nearby. The best dish is definitely the dumplings, which are also E. coli flowers. Our tour guide didn't pass the lovely work that didn't make boring. She is very interesting and vivid. :) My next tour will be Chinatown or Nolita some time in October.

The hummus was fantastic. It's a must have if you like hummus. I got the shwarma, had good quality meat, very filling, with a lot of veggies. The tahini sauce was delicious but you should eat it fast. If you're taking your time, the wrap will get soggy. Overall it was great, very chill atmosphere.

Epic middle Eastern hookah lounge and restaurant in Manhattan. Hookah is definitely very good but pricey which is a Norm in NYC. Same goes for food. But the best part is that they serve items with goat cheese! The cocktails are good. Nights are great here as it almost turns into a mini night club upstairs. It's always busy and jam packed so make sure you make the reservation before you go.

I was suppose to have my birthday dinner at this restaurant. From the moment we walked up to front door myself and group of friends were stopped at the door and asked if we had a reservation when i said i was told by an employee earlier that day a reservation wasnt necessary. But in fact it was.I spoke with host who said i should have called back to confirm. I asked her why the hell do they have employees giving wrong info on thw phone. Dont they train them? She said im sorry. U could always go to the bar for drinks and bar food. Really?? I didn't appreciate the treatment the shady doorman displayed. When i told him i was expecting more guests he asked if they were male or female. Why should that matter???. Very unprofessional. Very loud. Didn't like the environment.poor lighting. Good luck if u choose to visit this place.

Always a good time at pergola. Crafty drinks, premium hookah. Honestly the best hookah I've ever had. All of them use pineapple bowls. The food is pretty good too. It gets packed pretty quickly so if you want to secure a seat, be sure to get there at the beginning of happy hour!

Pleasent room and decor but seems in disarray. Food was surprisingly good, if not painfully slow. Restaurant is short staffed. The bartender was quite good but he was definitely stretched thin. Lots of support staff standing around looking confused. Bits of management here and there not doing much. Odd. Won't return but a decent enough experience.
