First of all the show was great. We were here to watch Southern Momma and Cledus. We were in the balcony section and something that we were very disappointed about was how the staff seemed to have no problem when a row of very rude ladies would continue to stand blocking everyone 3 and 4 rows behind them. Even after we asked them to sit and also asked the employees to do something. The ladies serving popcorn and drinks were beyond rude. I came out toward end of show and instead of trying to fight back through the very very tight seating I was waiting for the show to end because we were doing the meet and greet. All the employees were sitting in all the seats around the lobby so I was going to sit on stairs until it ended because my friend was still at our seats. Only about 10 mins left of the show. I was told I couldn't block the stairs. That was fine, so I asked if I could sit in one if the many seat around the bathroom entrance but was told no because the staff was sitting there. Due to medical problems standing for more than a cple mins at a time isn't possible. So I basically had to go back to the bathroom and sit and wait. I thought that was pretty rude considering there was a seat open. Just wasnt a very pleasant experience.

My mom and I went to see the Festival of Trees over the weekend. We had a really good time and it put us in the Christmas spirit looking at all the Christmas trees. It was our first time going to this event. There were alot of people visiting of all ages, taking pictures and enjoying themselves. We'd go back again next year for sure.

Here to see Emmylou Harris in concert and it was my first visit to this wonderful theater. Sound was excellent and the seats were fine on the floor. My friends in the balcony also said seating and sound was good. Plenty of free parking on the street and in nearby lots. I'm 2 hours north of Ashland, but will definitely return when another show comes to town

I've gone here for many years for many different occasions. I went all through elementary for school events to watch plays and see movies. In my adult years I've gone many times to watch movies and see events or plays. It's one of the better parts centers I've been to.

the show I attended didn't take place at the theater, but it was presented by the theater on the river's edge. a friend and I traveled from Charleston to Ashland to catch a concert by the band, Thunderstruck.

Thunderstruck is an ACDC tribute band and if you're given the chance, you should definitely check them out. they played all of the staples, plus a couple deep cuts that I doubt ACDC themselves play anymore. they invited a young fan onstage with them to help sing a song and was very good at getting the crowd involved in the show. and their drummer, Jerry, turned out to be a local Ashlander, and it was awesome to witness the support he and the band got throughout the night.

the band's singer made a speech about how important it is to support local and live entertainment and I totally agree. i hope the town of Ashland promotes more shows like this in the future because I will always make the trip. it's high time that the venues in the Kentucky and West Virginia areas notice that there are a lot of hard rock and heavy metal fans who are ready and waiting for chances to have a good time and show their love of live music.

to the band and whomever ever else made this show possible, thank you so much and keep em' coming!

The Paramount has been in Ashland since 1931 and the interior while being up to date for today's needs, still contains some of the most beautiful, intricate architecture, molding and murals that can draw you back to the days of long ago. The seating is good all the way around unless you get someone taller in front of you. It brings many different shows, both Broadway, well known bands and more to our area. Schools have since back in the 70's taken class field trips here. You should definitely check it out if for no other reason than the historical beauty.

I have been to almost every Paramount Players production over the past 3 years. I love coming and the shows are amazing, but the sound is absolutely horrendous. Every show, without fail, has sound issues. Mics cutting out, popping, cracking. I have a family member who is in shows and had a lead role a couple months ago. She was so excited to finally get a lead, but was extremely discouraged and told us she almost cried backstage when none of her lines could be heard clearly. It s also very disappointing for us as family member. We re so excited and so proud of our little actress, but our experience leaves us frustrated. Please, please, please, on behalf of everyone paying for these shows, dedicating tons of time for dropping off and picking up kids from rehearsals, and everyone donating to these shows for our kids, invest in some sort of new mics or a new sound system.

I have been going to the Paramount Arts Center since I was young, mostly for school trips, but this time with my best friend to see the trees up for auction. Yes, this is a late review. I loved it! I ended up having to sit for most of the visit, because I had just gotten over a cold and was still a bit weak. But that allowed me to sit back and really appreciate the looks of delight on people's faces and the decorations as a whole.

This venue brought back so many memories. I use to live in Ashland. We visited for Thanksgiving and enjoyed the Christmas Tree competition from local schools. I used to go to the movies there over 45 years ago. I was able to be an usher for Count Basie. Enjoyed several plays. Although all of these activities were so many years ago I can still feel the memories in the ambiance that is there. I would love to go back.
