Just ask for Devon if you want an awesome haircut!! I'm not saying that lightly, i'm picky and he does it great each time.

Had a GREAT experience with my first haircut here (and my first haircut in San Francisco). Booked an appointment with Charles, who was fantastic detailed and very expert work. The salon was clean and all wore masks.

I got my hair done on Thursday from Shawn. I never went to him for color. I went to Joey before and he isn't at this location anymore. I came home and the front around my face was bleached which I didn't ask for. I asked for the red to be taken out. I didn't want any red. I also tried to part my hair down the middle and there is a LINE in my hair color. There is NO way I can wear my hair down straight. Photo attached. I think this is a joke. How can someone put a line in the color? It also has red and really white in the front.

DO NOT GO HERE. I wasted 3.5 hours of my life here and now o have to find another place to fix it!

Linda was amazing. My girls' hair never looked better. They both have asked to go back several times already and their haircut was just last week! She even taught me an easy style to do for each of them. Best kids haircut experience ever. We will definitely be back. Checkout the hair accessories they sell there too- totally reasonably priced, cute and stay in hair really well. I bought them thinking they were cute clips but they're the sturdiest hair clips I've ever bought- good grip and they don't slip out.

Came back today for a trim with Roberto. He listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions, but wasn't pushy, which is SO appreciated :) He took his time and was careful in giving me a trim, even with my damaged colored ends. Also, when he was styling / curling my hair, his technique was super catered to each section of hair i.e. front hair curls different than back hair, so adjust accordingly. Def will be back!

one of my friends recommended this for me, they have come here several times, and today's experience is good, TAYLOR / MONROE and His staff are very nice and warm. And the service is good, easy to make an appointment and quick to answer the phone and very polite.

I never leave reviews but feel compelled to share the amazing experience I had with Benji. I completely messed up my own hair trying to dye it myself and he fit me in for an emergency color correction even though he already had a packed schedule. It looks BEAUTIFUL now I don t know how he did it but he s magic and wonderful and I ll never get my hair done anywhere else in the city. Highly recommend Benji or anyone else at Taylor /Monroe!

I recently visited SF and was recommend to this salon by a friend. Roberto was my stylist , I booked a partial highlight and haircut. He was great! He s so nice and thorough. We talked about my options on styling, I left feeling beautiful. He recommended an R+Co mask that I took home with me and still love and use today. Thank you for the best experience on my SF trip!

I really seem to have the worst luck when it comes to trying to find good quality, highly rated hair salons with good customer service. I did my research and decided to set up an appointment with Benji Pow at Taylor/ Monroe as all the resources marked it as the highest rated Salon in San Francisco, one of the highest rated in the entire Bay Area specializing in balayage which is what I wanted to have done. They are insanely expensive, but money isn t an issue and I wanted high quality work done. No problem. I set my appointment up OVER A MONTH IN ADVANCE to ensure that absolutely nothing could go wrong beforehand and if for some reason I or the salon needed to reschedule, that I would have plenty of time to straighten it out I work very long hours, with two days off a week so it s challenging finding a whole day to dedicate to something like this. I d been looking forward to having my hair done for weeks, excited for a new look, telling all my friends and family.

Yesterday rolls around, I m working and I check my phone to see I have a missed call and voicemail from an unknown number. Sure enough, it s the receptionist at the salon canceling my appointment for the following day, claiming that Benji will be out sick the most worn out, pathetic excuse in history... They called me only 18 hours before my appointment time, 18 HOURS to tell me they re canceling the appointment. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Like I m really going to wait another 2 weeks to a month for a spot to open up on a day I m available and overpay some prude to do my hair. NO THANK YOU. I m posting this review and I m sure one the of the receptionists or Benji himself will comment to try to offer some deal, promotion or BS to still come through or reschedule an appointment so they can get my money. Let me tell ya DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME because I will never step a foot in your salon or waste a single dollar of my hard earned money in your pretentious establishment. I ll find something closer to home that s 1000x more affordable.
