When you're leaving the cathedral you might as well keep exploring that end and head on over to NUIG. The campus is gorgeous. I love wandering around university grounds and this place is great. You'll feel like you're in Harry Potter for a bit!

Any prospective students and employees can do far, far better than to consider NUI. A university that concocts a reason to ask potential employees about their menstrual cycle - though not, oddly, about prostates - has taken some strange backward steps.

I visited the grounds of NUI Galway during last May when Mojo fest was held in Baily Allen Hall next to Sult. Every day I had to cross the campus grounds and I was impressed how clean and organised they were. So very well kept, perfectly groomed and really lovely.

Ranked in top 1% amongst the universities across the globe, this university has one of the greenest buildings in whole Ireland, with so many international students and such a great campus all along the River Corrib, makes this university a great place to enhance your life.

I was in Galway between 1996 and 2000. The college seemed to be in a transition from the old UCG to the newly branded NUI, Galway.
