Nugent Care is a registered charity that has been providing care, education, and support to vulnerable people for over 135 years. The organization was founded in 1881 by Father James Nugent, a Catholic priest who dedicated his life to helping the poor and disadvantaged in Liverpool.
Today, Nugent Care operates a range of services across Merseyside and the surrounding areas, including schools, care homes, community outreach programs, and social work services. The organization's mission is to provide compassionate care and support to those who need it most.
One of the key pillars of Nugent Care's work is its schools program. The organization operates two special schools for children with complex needs: St. Mary's School in West Derby and Redbridge High School in Fazakerley. These schools provide tailored education programs for children with physical disabilities or learning difficulties.
