Nomads Cairns Serpent

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in Nomads. Great pool and bar in the hostel. There's a free shuttle bus that goes frequently into central Cairns which was really handy! We got great deals at the travel desk and got to go on some amazing day trips. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hostel had such a good atmospherere. We'll definitely be coming back

I enjoyed the atmosphere there, and although it's not close to the city there's a free shuttle bus that takes you there almost every hour. I even got a free lift to the bus terminal the night that I left which was really nice!
The room was clean, there was only a weird smell in the toilets and shower room and I think that's because the furniture there is a bit old.
As for the rest I can't complain, I enjoyed my stay there!

What a fantastic little piece of paradise! With a pool and a bar on site there is no need to head into the city every night. If you do need to get into the city, the hostel provides a free shuttle bus on the hour almost every hour!!! The staff here are very friendly and work hard to make sure the stay is as good as possible. The kitchen is kept clean and tidy as often as possible and the outside areas are very pleasant with lots ofnplants and communal areas! A very colourful little hostel with a great vibe!

Private room with bathroom booked. Room was clean and comfortable and the hostel generally has good facilities with swimming pool, licensed bar, laundry and kitchen. However, the stopcock on the toilet was not working correctly preventing the cistern from refilling. Twice it was reported by myself and I understand also by the previous customer in the room. I left with it still not repaired. When I first reported it, a member of staff wanted to start an argument suggesting it was my operation of the toilet that was at fault! The hostel is quite large and suggests it has been there along time. It looks tired and worn out in places. It needs refurbishing and a lock of paint if it is going to compete with other similarly priced places in the area.

Absolutely Loved nomads when i first got there, great atmosphere the people were so welcoming. Its like a cruise ship it has everything you need, place to sleep drink eat and swim! I loved it so much i came back for my future stays in Cairns and a Job! <3

Whilst staying at Nomads I had an amazing time! Such cheap rates for rooms, the bars even cheaper and the staff there are super friendly!
It was really like living a dream, they have a nice sized pool with a volley net in, another volley net next to the pool of you don't want to get wet. Foot ball nets, beer pong, dart board, giant Jenga and a pool table (the only game you have to pay for)! They do karaoke and they all really go out of their way to make your stay with them memorable. Couldn't ask for more nomads, thank you!

Great place with fantastic staff. Wouldn t stay anywhere else in Cairns. Great pub crawl on a Monday night and a free shuttle into town every hour. Perfect location for the airport and for travelling around cairns. Also has awesome gardens and lots of well maintained outside space

We went here just for dinner at the bar/cafe area. I really wanted to try the $5 Sunday roast but they had already run out by 7.30 pm. Instead, we had the chicken burger and fish and chips. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and tasted fairly good for hostel food. Would definitely recommend the $5 daily special for a good value meal, but make sure you get there at 6 otherwise you may be disappointed.

We stayed in a private double for one night. This hostel was clean, comfortable and in a quiet area on the outskirts of the city. Although a 20 minute walk to the city there is a free courtesy bus to and from the city every hour. Breakfast was good and drinks prices good. There was some happy, party noise but this quietened at about midnight so not an issue. After all this is a hostel! Staff were friendly and helpful.

I was impressed at the large pool, on-site bar and shop and volleyball court at this hostel. The staff are really friendly and all the people I met at Nomads are amazing. The free shuttle to the city is really handy as it goes on till 3am and we had some really epic nights at the bar during our stay. Would recommend this hostel as a great place to meet awesome people and have fun!
