Private room with bathroom booked. Room was clean and comfortable and the hostel generally has good facilities with swimming pool, licensed bar, laundry and kitchen. However, the stopcock on the toilet was not working correctly preventing the cistern from refilling. Twice it was reported by myself and I understand also by the previous customer in the room. I left with it still not repaired. When I first reported it, a member of staff wanted to start an argument suggesting it was my operation of the toilet that was at fault! The hostel is quite large and suggests it has been there along time. It looks tired and worn out in places. It needs refurbishing and a lock of paint if it is going to compete with other similarly priced places in the area.
