We worked a refinance with our lender, who used Mortgage Connect to close. The whole process was incredibly slow, which we blame mostly on the lender. Once it came down to closing, we got done within 2 weeks with Mortgage Connect, however, getting copies of our signed closing paperwork after the fact has taken 3+ weeks. Not happy about that. They should have have the ability to provide us with copies of our closing signatures IMMEDIATELY upon signing. Instead, they had to take everything back to office, scan everything in, then say they could email us a PDF file or a mailed printed copy, neither of which we have received after we have requested them for the 3rd time now. I do not recommend using this national company to do business with! Keep it local.

Missed closing date due to documents not being sent to the notary. I called for 2 days and left numerous voice mails and emails to multiple employees and their managers. I never received a call back or reply to my emails. Since my mortgage company forces me to use Mortgage Connect, I assume that I am a low priority to receive good customer service since I am unable to choose another company to help me.
Good Luck!

Worst experience of our lives dealing with this company. Completely unresponsive and I had to do a majority of the work myself because they were so incompetent. Two months later and they still have not recorded the deed or mortgage. I follow up regularly with the company and either get no response or get hung up on. I do not recommend using them under any circumstances.

Refinancing my mortgage with Wells Fargo - another huge mistake - and they used Mortgage Connect as the title company. At the signing there were papers with my old married name on them and one with an incorrect name on it, which now has to be corrected and signed and is holding up the funding of my file. It s been a complete and total nightmare. Run don t walk away from this company!

I would give this company negative stars if that were possible. Had a difficult experience with the mortgage company that chose Mortgage Connect so I guess I should have expected the closing to be just as bad. All the title documents were wrong. Some pages had a completely different buyer and property address listed and other pages had myself and the actual seller listed as the opposite (me as the seller, and the seller as the buyer). The attorney at closing called to see what we should do and they wanted us to sign the incorrect documents!! Absolutely not. Currently trying to straighten things out so that I can finally be done with this process, but surprise! no responses from anyone yet on what to do or how soon we can get it done. Do not use this company if you can control it.

I've been through 3 traditional closings at closing offices with local companies, but during my latest refinance, my lender wanted to use Mortgage Connect to close at my home. I didn't think much of it, but in retrospect, it was a terrible mistake.

Mortgage Connect ended up botching the paperwork, and they didn't notify me until over four months after closing. Then, when they scheduled someone to come out and fix it, she texted me that something came up and she wasn't available.

It's been over four months and the process still isn't complete. In my experience, it normally takes less than an hour at a closing office. So, 4+ months is insane. From what I can tell, Mortgage Connect must just find a bunch of random licensed notaries who have no idea what they're doing, and then they send them to your home to make sloppy work of your closing. Do yourself a favor and just go the traditional route with a local closing office. You'll be glad you did four months later when it's done and you're not wasting you time trying to deal with Mortgage Connect.

Refinanced with Wells Fargo They hired mortgage connect Many delays in closing paid prepaids at closing they never paid my homeowners insurance policy and Wells Fargo says I have to deal with mortgage connect when they hired them. Makes no sense. Both companies are terrible. Be warned

My husband and I closed last month and Mortgage Connect made the process seem flawless. Our closer let us know every step along the way. Communication was great. I would definitely use this company again if I were too ever purchase another home. Such a great experience.
