Monterey Grill

Monterrey grill has been cutting corners, you now get press chicken for your money.
I had spicy shrimp, baked brei, awful, Cesar salad, so much dressing couldn't eat it, salad was old and brown lettuce. Than after waiting over 1 hour for our Santa Monica Chicken . It was old and soggy press chicken. This is the 4th time I have been here in 3 months, the first two visits were good, than the food items change to low quality products, we will not return. BTW , the manager came by and said they had a delay , and it will be out shortly, we paid full price for the worst food, worst service and in my opinion the worst manager.

Not good. Ordered mimosas for a Father's Day breakfast and food and drinks came out the same time, not good. Also, never checked on us, also didn't. Give back my creditcard, so I couldn't buy anything for dinner for Dad, bad experience, not compensated, not apologized to, not going back, and food was cold. Ick

Food was way overly salted -- my tongue is still burning from it. Service was good

I came here for breakfast with my family and they did not disappoint. Their Port Orange breakfast menu is fantastic. You really can't go wrong. Highly recommended. Try any of the eggs Benedict varieties, there are several. Also, the breakfast potatoes are so yummy!

My husband and I had lunch here today and all we can say about our experience is that we want to come back for dinner!! I had the strawberry mango sangria with a blueberry sweet tea and my husband had the hibiscus mimosa all of the drinks were incredible and he had to get a second! For food we shared an order of the brie and as an avid lover of brie their choice is delicious and accompanied perfectly with the fruit choices. I had the parmesan crusted flounder with the Malibu spinach and it was to die for! My husband had the pebble beach wrap with sweet potato fries he couldn't put it down until he was full! My favorite part about the entire experience was the playful nature of Marcus and his continued entertainment even though he wasn't even our server! The portion size is completely perfect and we can't wait to come back!

Consistency for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The eggs Benedict courses are always delicious, the homemade soups and salads do not disappoint, and the main entrees are always good. Service depends, have had really good and then some that never come back after youyour food is dropped. Price range is reasonable.

A group of 8 was served by Eric, who was great. Everyone was very happy with the tasty food. I had a spinach feta mushroom omelet that was wonderful, with generous amount of cheese. We'll be back!

It's literally just OK. No better, no worse. Consistently meh.

The food and service were ok but the place seriously smelled like old musty wet carpet. Heard good things about it, but not so sure I would return.

Food was good, but the server left us at the table for long periods of time for ordering and desert and drink refills.

I've eaten there numerous times and loved everything I've ordered. But my favorite is their "Fried Zucchini" appetizer! Thin and crispy, not much breading and the dipping sauce is great!

Very homey feel in this little gem off of Dunlawton very reasonable pricing the food looked great the customer service was spot on maybe 5 seconds after walking in the door I was greeted, a rather small bar and dining area but seeing as there's two other restaurants in Port Orange FL owned by the same people with similar names Malibu Beach Grill and San Diego grill this cozy little spot might just be the perfect restaurant for anyone looking for a quiet quaint atmosphere, traditional dishes and specials, and a little bit of that overall respect you don't seem to find at every restaurant. Hope everyone working here keeps up the hard work!

This place is always good. Brunch(weekends), lunch or dinner. Shrimp scampi is worth ordering for the garlic bread alone. Large shrimp, yummy sauce. I like that you can get lunch or dinner portions, anytime. First time trying the French dip sandwich. Very good. Their French fries are the best, but I could also have gotten sweet potato fries, also delicious, or fresh fruit. I got the Chicken walnut salad to go, for a friend. I really like their salads with the mini banana muffins.. Service is always good here.

Had the bacon and swiss burger with fries. Fries quantity seems less than competition. Burger was fine but not outstanding.

Delicious food! Neat atmosphere! The chocolate chip waffle was Oh so yummy!!

Monterey Grill catered the food for the entire crew during filming of my PBS series, Functional Fitness with Suzanne Andrews. All the food was so fresh and delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food - from the fresh seafood, steak to the burgers and salads! The service was the best and I definitely recommend. Thank you Monterey Grill.

I did not care much for the food at this place but the service was great. The dish was bland, no real taste..I think it was the Marsala.

Had my husband s funeral reception at this restaurant and It was wonderful. Food and service was excellent. They did up special menus with a picture of my husband with a special thanks to our guests for attending his Celebration of Life. I was also able to show a life video on there large screen TV. The General Manager, Thomas was very helpful planning this event. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Waitress was great. Getting order was very slow even though the place was not even half full. Food not as good as when it was originally opened. Now remember why we quit going there.

I've lived in the area my whole life and finally decided to try this place after all the years of hearing so many great things about it! Absolutely loved my crab cake benedict and also had a few mimosas while there too! Everything was made perfectly for me and I cannot wait to go again!!

Food was great. But it's really hard to mess up eggs, bacon, and waffles. Service was average. Not bad but not blown away either. Environment is nice. Only actual complaint was the host stand. They were not very inviting and seemed a little bothered with the fact that we had a party of 7. Not very willing to accommodate. Told us we would have to wait 25 minutes to sit together but there was 2 across booths right in front of us. Moments after sitting us split up they sat 2 seperate tables in the booths that could have been given to us.

I had excellent service this past Saturday morning with Mallory! I ordered the Parmesan Flounder and it was the best I ve ever had.

One of my absolute favorite go to local places. Management is always friendly, staff is attentive, and food is never a disappointment.

We went there for the first time and the food, service and visit was excellent. Our waitress was Kelsey and she was so attentive and really good at what she does. We will be back for sure. Love the option for the portion sizes too.

First time visit and I'm happy to report I'll be back. They make the best strawberry lemonade ever! I wasn't happy with my dish. I ordered the parmesan chicken but they add Alfredo sauce to it and I'm not a big fan. But the chicken was moist and tasted wonderful by itself.

The best casual dining in the area. Recommend also two sister restaurants, Malibu Beach Grill and San Diego Grill.

Everytime I come to visit my dad, this is a MUST to go to eat. The baked brie, fried zucchini, salads, burgers, eggs Benedict .... Well everything on the menu is consistently excellent. The staff is attentive but not hovering and always polite. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

My friend recommended this place, and I checked it out for their breakfast! The best idea, had a delicious strawberry waffle and even tried the cranberry memosa, which was amazing! Thanks Michelle for the amazing service as well!

I had the French dip, nothing to brag about. My wife had a turkey wrap, again nothing to brag about. Service was lackluster. Personally I wouldn't recommend this to go to.

Good food. Waited a bit long, even though Reservation was made. Fairly expensive. Otherwise service was acceptable.

I was there to have lunch with two friends I had the Pebble Beach wrap I get mine without the blue cheese it was quite tasty I also enjoyed the onion straws as my side. The service was good as it always is the server even kept an eye out for our friend that was running late asking their name and directing them to our table when they arrived. A nice pleasant recommended experience with lots of good food on the menu.

I had soup and a salad. They have several varied salad choices and two soups everyday. Great service.

Rediscovered how awesomely good food they have here! Great service also! Burger was cooked to perfection at busy time, fish was not overcooked and my MIL was happy with her sweet potato fries. I'll definitely be back soon.

The food was wonderful. The steak was perfectly cooked. The Monterey chicken delicious. The deserts were yummy and huge! The staff was extremely nice and friendly.

Font have daily lunch specials any more. Disappointed.

Everything was perfect and DELICIOUS. We ordered the Meatloaf dinner and the California Burger. Both couldn't be better. The burger was cooked to temp I ordered and had great flavor. The meatloaf plate had very small portions but really good flavor. Going back for breakfast! :)

Really great service & consistently good food. They missed one item on my to-go order and were very apologetic, offered me a complimentary drink while I m waiting on them to fix it & the manager came by and asked if I was being helped. Highly recommend :)

Stopped in for lunch and discovered they offered breakfast until 3 p.m. Yum! Lots of choices and everything was cooked well.
