I love this place. It's location in the Grossmont Mall makes it convenient if you're doing some shopping or having a day out at CeramiCafe. The staff is friendly, the place is always clean, and the food is fantastic. I haven't ordered anything here that didn't end up being delicious. I especially recommend their guacamole and chips, which is made fresh from an avocado unlike many other Mexican food places. Another dish they make themselves is their refried beans, which are good both as a side or as a quick snack.

They have both sit down and take-out options. If you choose to sit down you get a real dishes and silverware to eat with, which is nice, and if you choose to eat takeaway the food is always carefully wrapped not to spill.

They also have a great selection of food at reasonable prices whether you're looking for the authentic Mexican dishes or the Americanized version. Additionally, they carry a small selection of Mexican made juice drinks along with the typical soft drinks.

Overall, it's a great little place and a good alternative to the food court if you're interested in family-run Mexican instead of a franchise.

Nice Mexican eatery located next to the mall-side entrance to Walmart. The staff is friendly, the decore is modern and clean, and the food, and salsas never disappoint. And they have pancakes on the menu that I would highly recommend for the younger pickier eaters in your group.

From the sweet, cheerful girl at the counter (Amy) to the DELICIOUS enchilada and sope - everything was top-notch. I haven't tasted enchiladas like that since my Nana was alive! My husband had the steak and egg burrito (breakfast is served all day) and the Carne adobada taco. He said they were both very hot (temperature-wise) and flavorful. Everything is cooked to order, so expect to wait a few minutes for your food. It's worth the wait.

Very disappointing. I've come here quite a few times & it's pretty good, except for this visit. I was the only one dining in here at the time of my visit when I placed my order. I didn't get my iced coffee promptly as I should have. I should have gotten it right away & before my food arrived. I ordered a wet-style carne asada burrito for lunch. It had a little sauce on top & the cheese was put on the inside which ruined it. Cheese should have been on top not inside. The guacamole inside wasn't much & very pasty like & bland. My side of sour cream wasn't served either when my order arrived & I didn't get it til I finished almost 1/2 my burrito. The refried beans were too runny/watery like & was very thin & pasty & not very appetizing at all. I couldn't even finish the burrito. Even the tortilla used to make it didn't taste right. The coffee was the only thing that was decent today :(

The food was awesome. We ordered chicken enchiladas plate, Carne Asada Burrito, flauta's plate, and one carne asada taco, plain. This was for our youngest who wasn't sure what she wanted.

We all agreed the food was great, but for some reason we received the Flauta's Plate about 10 minutes after the other food. We were all done eating when the Flauta's plate arrived.

We will return here and hopefully we will have a better experience next time.

I love this place. The food is made fresh. My favorite items: fried fish tacos, sopes, chilaquiles, and enchiladas. Family owned. You wait a little longer for your food. It is not like your traditional mexican fast food place, where the food comes out super fast. This place is a hidden treasure in the Grossmont shopping center. Enjoy!

I've been here numerous times, and every single time the customer service has been great. Very friendly staff. The food has been good and tasty. The tacos, rice, beans, etc. and breakfast are great. Every time I have come they have accommodated every food request made without error. This place is good for a quick bite. Eating inside or taking the food to go is optional. Prices are normal in comparison to other spots. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood!

It was ok... Seriously over rated by the many reviews... I felt like I must be at a different place entirely. Nothing wrong really accept the refried beans... Thin, pale in comparison to, and not too flavorful. If you are at the mall and want quick Mexican food this is a reasonable choice. Don't go out of your way to come here like I did.

High quality Mexican food made and tendered with care. I came here expecting "mall food" and was pleasantly surprised to find "mall-food" prices but much higher quality food. I got fish tacos, both grilled and fried, and both were delicious, fresh, and moist. It came with a side of greens and three sauces. Presentation was classy, restaurant was quiet and clean, service was prompt, and the people who worked there were nice and helpful.
