This was a fun adventure. I had not been to the fair in many, many years. Parking is as much of an issue as ever. The paid parking which is closer to the fair was full early in the morning. So you have to park a distance away from things.that's not altogether bad as there is no charge for that parking. And there are trams that run around the parking lot which will drop you off near the front gate. capacity on them is limited so you may have to stand on the tram. If you are 61 or over there is a nice senior discount. if you happen to be a senior at one of your first stops should be the senior citizens log cabin lounge. there you will be able to get a free pass for unlimited tram rides during the day to get around the fair. It's also a great place to cool off and have a complimentary beverage. There are a lot of nice exhibits. there are also some good sponsored events and buildings. Just be aware that some of them close at 6 pm. It is a full day of things to see and do. The food selection is not all that great. It's basically fair food and fast-food of sorts.

The MO state fair is a fun day if you have kids. We enjoyed the petting zoo, pig races, kids stage area, kids activity zone, bluegrass music, clogging mules, and endless walking around the various animal barns. Plus, you can bring a wagon and cooler in to help cuts costs if you want to avoid the food vendors. They also have several beer tents and prices were not outrageous. Not a bad day for the $10 admission fee per adult but look for discounts as they offer additional ways to save at the gate. Plus, general parking was free.

The Missouri State Fair is a wonderful place for people to go and to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. There are booths and buildings that people can get free items for themselves or other people in their family. This past year the University of Missouri gave away free hats, shirts, mugs, foam fingers and toys. a News team also gave away free shirts and cups, which was a lot of fun for kids especially so they can win stuff and learn. Some of the food and drinks can be pricey depending on what you are into and what you want to get while inside the State Fair with all the choices and options that are available. The food is good though and there are many other things. Went to a pig race one day and watched pigs run around a track while people cheered and yelled and were really excited. The other fun thing for kids to do is walk around the fair and take pictures in front of all the boards with face cutouts. Went to a concert as well, watched Brantley Gilbert, he was really good and put on a good show with people singing and dancing and being involved with the concert. It was a lot of fun and people were able to move around freely and not have trouble with obscene people.

I went here to go to the sedalia gun show. Was more than disappointed and will nvr ever waste my time nor my money goin to this! I love guns and the gun fairs!! They had no signs showing were to go and the gps took us on a goose chase. And we weren't the only ones. When we finally were able to find the place, by asking a rude police officer, whom was goin to the same place. It was in a small building, and cost 10 dollars a head and even charged for the kids. In which I had taken just me and my girlfriend. Their weren't nothn really worth buying and only a handful of merchants there! When I tried to talk to one of them they acted like their conversations where more important and my time and money wasnt important. Like they really didnt want to sale anything. Very disappointed and a waste of my time and 20 bucks! And that's saying somthn coming from me. I wish I could have gave negative stars! I've nvr been more disappointed goin to a gun show in my life! However, the fair grounds themselve was huge and kinda hard to navigate. They should have put out signs showing where to go! I mean somthn tht small and no signs had people showing up to gymnastic practice! I will nvr go to another in this area period!!
