Very good food, nice service and resonnable prices.

HORRIBLE FOOD. My husband and I were both violently ill after eating their Rigatoni Mirto. The pork tasted off, and my salad had mold on it. Staff was very rude, what a disappointment.
We would not recommend this place to anyone.

It's shut down - they didn't pay their rent. Door was stuffed with letters and notices. Surprised nobody updated this on Google yet, though I'm not sure exactly when this happened (went yesterday, which was September 26th, 2018). Found out the hard way after booking on opentable.ca, getting a Groupon, then showing up...

We had a fabulous dinner. Tomato sauce tasted like my Italian Nonna's sauce. Salmon was perfectly done. All was delicious! Waiters were helpful event offer to get us a cab. too sweet.

Fantastic dining experience with amazing service, great food options and really nice ambiance. This was my second visit and easily surpassed my expectations based on my original visit. I came from Italy and the food reminded me of my days growing up with mama cooking in the kitchen. The smells and tastes of old Italy are unmistakable and Mirto delivers that experience in a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend you try this for yourself and share with the online community. Used a Groupon discount and it provided a wonderful experience here. The restaurant was completely empty on a Friday evening, which was odd but at the same time I view this in a positive light. The steak was great, tiramisu was delicious and the location is easy to get to. Without a Groupon code however it would certainly be a little over priced

I have never been treated with such disrespect and lack of professionalism from an owner of a restaurant. I made reservations for 2 last week, and was just informed that they cancelled my reservation due to someone buying out the restaurant and they didn't see it in their system. I called them back today and ask to speak to the owner who wouldn't give me his name hoping he could accommodate my guest and I in some way due to this inconvenience. A table for 2 isn't much to ask for, at least that's what I figured. Instead, he was very rude on the phone and told me to find another venue if I wasn't happy with the error his staff made in booking our reservation. An apology, an alternate suggestion or a discount of some sort would have been greatly appreciated, instead he told me to find another restaurant and hung up on me. I will never eat at this restaurant and would advise anyone who appreciates proper service and hospitality to never go here. Terrible staff with a very rude owner. Extremely disappointed.

Great service. Small restuarant... decor is a bit dated but the food was really good. Had the grilled calamari special very good.

Great food that is always fresh! Carlo, Domenic & Antonio make every dining experience at Mirtos perfect. The service is always fantastic and willing to accommodate any requests. Highly recommend Mirtos to everyone, make sure to try the shrimp fra diavolo!!

The worst service ever, the place was almost empty, 5 tables of 4 were available. I asked table for two and they told me that there was not place available.

A group of 8 of us dined there tonight. What a great experience. Loved the comfortable, cozy ambiance. The owners are serving you and do a great job, very attentive but they do not interrupt when you are in a conversation. They made the whole evening entertaining, Carlo was excellent. We had everything from wine, appetizers, pizza, entrees and dessert. They even met our special requests. Everything was wonderful.
Highly recommend.

Such a fun environment, food was absolutely delicious, and owner brought out a big slice of cake and a round of shots for the table when he saw it was my birthday. Definitely returning soon.

Went for dinner here and the food and service was amazing! Domenic was an excellent host! The food was very tasty and the portions were amazing!!! If you really want to taste authentic Italian food as there are many wanna be italian restaurants, the come to MIRTOS- nice ambiance! Will become a regular now at this place

I have been to Mirto twice and both times I was impressed.They had no problem accommodating an item request that wasn't on the menu and the steak was cooked well.The atomosphere is nice and they don't rush you out.

My favorite place to meet friends for dinner. Great service, great food. Domenic, Carlo, Antonio & Terri will make you feel at home. I go here time and time again and never disappointed.

Daily specials, quiet compared to most restaurants around the area, and great quality Italian dishes. Really good Tiramisu as well!

Took more time for the waiter to give us water then for us to get our food. Our group took up a majority of the customers there and were the ones that were ignored the most. Food was average, but this was the worst service I have ever received.

Went there for a birthday dinner. Awesome food and cozy environment! They had a live band playing as well, this was on a weekend.

We went just over the weekend with a Groupon I received as a birthday gift. From entering the restaurant we felt like we were ignored from the get go. Given that it was a Saturday night and it was busy, we were given little attention. I even noticed that this table that was there before us were approached by one of the workers and he asked 'how was everything tonight? Did you enjoy yourselves', which I thought we'd be getting the same level of treatment. We never had an actual server, and despite it being a four course meal NO ONE checked on us at all. If there was we would've complained about the burnt steak my boyfriend had. Also, there was a large party at the restaurant and all the attention was given to them, and even staff were goofing off with them which I felt was highly unprofessional. Hence why we felt ignored during our time at the restaurant. And another of the workers (which I assumed was part of the party) at one point turned up the music so loud that you couldn't even think and patrons were still in the restaurant.

The food itself was okay, but as I mentioned before the steak was burnt. All in all I would not come back to this restaurant again due to the lack of professionalism and subpar service. Maybe it was the fact that we had the Groupon which made the staff think they could jip similar customers like this, but I've worked in the restaurant industry before and you should treat every patron with the same level of service.

We've been here several times at special occassions, anniversaries and birthdays. Nice and cozy Italian family restaurant with a lot of loyal patrons. Very friendly service and good quality dishes. Save some room for Tiramisu at the end of meal.

Love the food here. My wife and I used to go often but kind of lost track of it when it was closed for renovations. Went back a couple of weeks and found the new decor most attractive. Rigatoni Gorgonzola is my favourite dish, but everything seems to be good, and they have quite a decent list of wines.

OMG...you can't get better food!!! Delicious!!! Great people own this place and they hire great staff. Check them out, you will not be sorry.

Walked 8 at 930 and told us they where close even thought they had tables eating and the hours said they where open to 1100. Plus they where very rude and dismissive

this place has potential. i went for dinner there. ordered the salmon dinner which wws perfectly cooked. my date ordered the rooster breast. and we were happy with our meals.

theres a chef who brings out your food. hes very abrasive. the man just comes and grabs your plates without even acknowledging you.

Went for our wedding anniversary from 2 hours away, the food was out of this world. Authentic Italian cooking, from the first bite to the last it blew us away how good it was. We will certainly be back for the food.

The Italian arrogance was not appreciated, specifically the blunt rude replies to our questions about the menu, and the focus on the World Cup match vs. focusing on the customer.

We dined on a Saturday night, and was surprised by a live band! Customers were dancing and singing, it was really nice! The overall experience of this resto is homey yet professional. :)

Think of it as your favorite neighborhood restaurant if you are away from home. While staying in Toronto for a business/pleasure trip, we stumbled upon this spot and had dinner with 3 other couples. We were treated to fantastic service and food from start to finish. Great prices in downtown Toronto too! Loved the tiramisu! We enjoyed it so much, we kept stopping in daily to have a drink with the owners/staff. Thanks to the entire team for a fun week. We miss you guys!

I came here for lunch on a Monday. The restaurant is small and quiet, and the waitress we had was quick, helpful and friendly. I ordered the Carmelina pizza (comes with grilled chicken and garlic) and was pretty disappointed. The crust was thick and hard, there was too much cheese and too little chicken - but most disappointed by the crust. Would not recommend their pizza. A colleague ordered the salmon, and although I did not get to try it - it looked pretty delicious but did not come with any rice/carbs. Another colleague ordered the shrimp linguine which also looked pretty good. Her comment was that it was to creamy and thick. Again, I did not get to try the pasta but definitely would not recommend the pizza.

As far as Italian restaurants go this one is probably as authentic as it gets. One of my favorite places to go when I'm in Toronto.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was cozy but clean and upscale. I had the penne arrabiata and a proseco. The prices were on the higher end but the food seemed fresh and of good quality. They had a live band playing it was... uncomfortable to say the least the. The space was very small and they had set up huge speakers right next to the tables and the band was... mmm mediocre. Other then that it was great!

Love this restaurant. Have been here many times for both lunch and dinner. The food is great but the staff are even greater. I keep coming back.

Went here with a large family group a couple of days ago, while the staff was attentive and very kind and pokite, the service aspect kind of sucked. It took forever to receive our food, and when we did finally get it, some of it was cold. We also witnessed the servers and wait staff openly drinking from a bottle of wine a table had purchased, and on multiple times that visit saw one of the waiters eating bread and other food off of people's plates while he was bringing it to the table! Very unprofessional.

They're living off the coatails of being an establishment in the city. The service was poor and they cared little for my experience. They're past their prime and need to be put to bed. This is McEwen's nofrills.
