I used to order them regularly and food was great , after long time ordered them yesterday but food qouality was far away from my expectation, rice was not coocked property and cold, kebabs were small and smelling onion and lamb fat , bread was dry in middle and raw in around, sorry dear senator i removed you from my order list

The staff working in the restaurant are very rude and have no sense of humour neither any manners, overcharging customers I've spoken to other people local to the restaurant and they didn't have anything nice to say about them. Please avoid this place at any cost!

Soooooo awesome to have another great restaurant in the Hendon area. Great design/atmosphere, great food, excellent drinks and wine list, friendly staff.This has become a staple for good dining for us, among a limited selection of sophisticated restaurants in the area.

One of the best places to eat - it's my favourite go to restaurant. Food is always so delicious and succulent, I order from here every week and I'm always so happy. Delivery is always fast and food quality and portion size never fails. Ignore the bad reviews, food is honestly amazing!

The organisation is poor, take more bookings than they can actually manage. Poor customer service, long wait for food.

Food was very late and cold customer service very bad you had ask few times to get your order and price was bloody expensive. That was my first and last time .

Omg! Where do I start?!

Parking is awful, it is so packed and uncomfortable (which I dont think is allowed especially with covid!), the food was awful and shisha tasted like cheap ones you get on holiday. The service was slow and most of the workers didnt speak English. We waited about 20 minutes for our shisha and about 20-30 minutes for food. Please bare in mind we called beforehand and made a reservation for 8:15pm. When we arrived and told them we had a reservation, they looked confused as sat us anywhere. Hardly any space and near the hand sanitiser machine.

During coal changes we had to tell them how to do the coal and how many to put on. The only good thing was that it wasnt that cold due to ok heaters.

Honestly will not be visiting again and it was a waste of money!

The food quality and taste was good. However the waitress attitude made me sad, when I went in I said Salam to her , but she didn t answer, I don t know why . Pretty sure she did recognise that I said Salam. It might be because of my uniform that shows I m doing a cheap job. Any way I still would suggest to the people try Senator s food , as the food is tasty enough.

We used to eat from here until last time we ordered we experienced bad food. Don t know what changed in this restaurant but something or someone has. Last night we ordered out of desperation as it was late at night, but the food didn t taste right at all, both me and my partner had upset stomach. Food all went into the bin. We are experienced with Persian food so the restaurant telling my partner I can re-assure you it s all fresh means nothing. Specially when the customer says I know what these foods should taste like and it tastes horrible.
Anyways I have left it to Barnet health and safety to investigate now.
The kashkeh bademjan didn t taste anything like what it should and to us it tasted like it was frozen and defrosted.
The kebab meat wasn t the best. Dry.
The starter ash was again awful.
If you want good Iranian food try lavash or RUMI.

This place is tucked away in one of the side streets on Bell Lane and it is the best Iranian restaurant in Hendon. The atmosphere is super friendly, staff is very helpful if you are unsure about what dish to go for and most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. For the starter i had the aubergine gazmi with tooftan bread which was so tasty and for the main I had the mix grill for two which was perfect. Nothing bad to say about this place. Brilliant!

I had to attend a couple of their parties (just because my friends bought me tickets). The very first experience: the starter was not provided(although it was supposed to be). The second experience: the soft drink wasn t provided and I had to leave my table for 3 times to ask for drink. Today the very last experience: i called to cancel my booking the guy said your deposit will be deducted whether u cancel it or not.
I strongly recommend everyone to choose somewhere else rather than Senator to spend their night in.

The worst service ever! Placed our order 1:45mins ago was told delivery will take 35 minutes, hour later we called and was told the driver is just leaving now another half hour later were told sorry we are busy. First rule of great service don't lie to your customers if you were honest and said the wait is two hours we would have politely declined but try again. Now I will never try again. What a same you spent money on advertising and then loose customers before they even became a customer.

The only thing I can say, and it's not really a negative in any way, the portions are too large to finish. Typical of Persian restaurants. Definitely a great place to dine. You won't be disappointed unless you're really fussy about food. You'll love the wide selection of authentic Persian dishes, hand made bread that is made to order just like all the food.

Try the kebabs with rice and salad. It's the best in London.

The restaurant has no respect for its customers, ridiculous prices, poor service. Their portions are extremely small for the price that they were charging. I felt ripped off. Would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. 0/20.

Great Persian food, superb service and reasonable prices.

A nice family oriented atmosphere can be achieved at this place by ignoring the fact that food is average with not so generous portions, live music can get annoyingly laud and service is very poor with miscumnication from staff over final bill payment and in advance booking fee deduction.

The quality of food is awful, and not fresh, The staff specially the waitresses are very rude and nosy. They behave like they paid you to go there and have a free food. We were a group of people went there and all of us were very unhappy about the poor services and their behaviour, Overall we will not go back there and will not recommend this place to any one. You WILL be disappointed. I will give them 0 out of 20.

As a Persian this restaurant has good kebab but I didn't try other foods and the staffs are good too.

its a good place to celebrate parties eg birthdays, however the quality of the food is not as great as you may expect it to be. During the weekend it gets busy here and there isnt as much staff as you would think, theres live music during the weekend. The place is spacious, and the environment is lively however when food arrives, its abit cold thats the disadvantage of this place.

An Iranian Restaurent with generally good food . Sundays are special for a traditional dish known as " kaleh patcheh" . Clean friendly suitable for family but if looking for " ambience " look elsewhere.

I ve been a regular customer at this restaurant and I must comment that their food and shisha standards are immaculate. The joojeh is my personal favourite and it never fails to satisfy me :) the owners and staff are very respectful and attentive, very efficient with their service too. It s a must try if you haven t been before and is family friendly

Tried this place about a year ago and the Koobideh was ok but not the best. I think it was much better years ago when the place was called Champal. I might give it another try and update the review if its any better.

Brilliant welcoming atmosphere with great authentic food and shisha. I also love the decor and the service is the best with very bubbly and vibrant staff. Definitely my place to go when I want to spend quality time with friends.

Sexist rude staff. Ordered food that had no meat and the owner jahan started yelling at me saying I m trying to teach him English and that im not allowed to order from here again instead of addressing the bad food delivered! Ridiculous attitude and stuff your food

Traditional Iranian food is served here. Very good portions and after all everything is eaten you don't feel stuffed but pleasantly full. The food is light so to speak. Fresh meat produce and salad, well cooked lamb and the typical Iranian style bread / naan you get is made within your view depending where you sit as they have a (again) traditional oven otherwise known as a tandoor.
There were two of us who both each had a starter a main each and a beer.
1 x soup
1 x mashed aubergine

Main
Lamb pieces with rice, salad and a large spicy pepper.

Two budweiser beers (bottled).

Service was good, pleasant and attentive. It wasn't busy as it was a week day in the middle of the day however we were not hanging around, treated well and left satisfied.

The decor is clean, presentable, also cosy and spacious.

There is a sheltered outer seating area which is in front of the restaurant, all is closed off with walls and door. It is suitable for sheesha smokers.

My friend is Iranian born and so knows his food, so this is a partial recommendation from him too as it was his idea to go here. It was his second time. His first was with a party of more than 7 people whom were also all satisfied on that occasion.
