While taking out the trash Sunday afternoon, I heard the most pathetic cry from my cat. He was perched at the top of the power pole. Less than a year old, Sylvester is not the most experienced kitty and was clearly too afraid to come down. My granddaughter called and called, Nothing was working. I called Minnesota Power for help. Within
short time a Minn Power truck arrived.
Sylvester was rescued and returned to my granddaughters arms. What a huge relief !!

Called today to see why my first month's electric bill is 3 times what I d been paying In Minneapolis despite lower kilowatt hour costs and not running a/c here as I had been there. They told me everything was correct even though it very clearly is not. I inquired about the previous owners use and was told they averaged half of what I was being charged even though they had a family of four and there are only two of us. We are obviously being charged for energy use prior to our purchase of the home or some other mistake on Minnesota Power s e d of things. I don t actually have a physical bill yet so I can t even see what I m being charged for. Really unfortunate this is the only electric provider in town. I m not impressed at all and would gladly switch if there were another option.

Came home from work, found the power off and a note stating they would shut off my power on or after 9/24. It seems they only have to give notice that they have shut off the power. The on or after part of the note is thier way of saying, we have the power to do what we want. All for $150. Now they want $20 to reconnect. I'm sure if they gave me prior notice of some type, they would not have had to go throught the trouble. Anyway to make an extra buck.
