Midwest Laboratories Inc.

The company I work for has been a customer of Midwest Lab for over 4 years and they have provided us with a consistent service. We use Midwest lab for our soil analysis (Agriculture) and appreciate their high level of professionalism.

The first batch of samples taken were mailed and the postal service never got them delivered to the lab (not Midwests fault, probably due to covid), so a second batch of samples were taken. After talking with a specialist at Midwest within a department about my sampling needs, more sampling items were sent to me than were discussed or requested. They ended up crediting me for the supplies that were sent which were not requested or needed. Come to find out after I get results back, the so called "specialist" didn't provide me with the right information for testing and I had to retake samples and send to a different laboratory as the testing completed at Midwest didn't give me the right information. They also are not able to tell me anything about the report I received as they are not a "consulting company". They did end up crediting me for the whole test as the results were useless to me, unfortunately it just ended up being a waste of time to have to sample again. Covid-19 with this company has been a burden as nobody will talk on the phone except their answering service at the front desk as everyone else is "working" from home. Those at the front desk have been very helpful, nonetheless, except that they don't have any of the other employees phone numbers except office numbers (which aren't being answered). I had only heard good things about this company from the past; and I was really hoping my experience would be as good as everyone else's, but this was not the case. I think Covid has thrown them for a loop and they are not able to function correctly with it going on. Regardless, the water district has now come out and we have taken a 3rd round of samples, and they will be sending it to the usual lab that they originally recommended. Overall, Midwest rectifying the situation shows that they are a stand up company that means well and tries to treat the customer right.

Very prompt on the analysis. Reasonably priced. Called and ordered an additional test while mine was in progress and it went smoothly. Results in line with what I expected except a manganese deficiency was noted in all three samples, which will be helpful for me going forward. Thank you!

Always get test results quickly and accurate the checks system they use gives me confidence in the results!

I have been sending soil tests to Midwest for 20 years, and tissue tests for 10 years, and I am very confident of the results.

Brought in a lawn soil sample, had a report in less than a week for $15, they accepted credit card payment over the phone after the fact. Very easy, and the report is easy to read and make use of, especially after watching the videos on their youtube channel.
