Fantastic dinner and service. Fresh and delicious. Best we ve had in the Frederick area. Pictured are the Veal Marsala and Shrimp Parmigiana with vodka sauce instead of marinara.

Eat and drink, literally. If you judge a restaurant by it's bread, this is a five star. It is, after all, an Italian place. But this gem is tucked away, while easily accessible, right off of 270 between Frederick and Washington.
We had the mangia pizza as an appetizer. While I prefer a fluffier artiZan fire roasted crust, this product has excellent flavor with an unual combination of cheese, sauce and toppings which includes sausage and roasted onions.
We shared three dishes, selected with the help of our server. I recommend all three: the mushroom and pistachio ravioli though, is worth the trip by itself. We also tried the sausage and dried tomato rigatoni, and the spicy shrimp Fra Diavolo. On the shrimp, the server suggested broccoli, since we were having so much pasta. This was a fantastic choice and lightened up the carbohydrate ration!
Desserts were also fantastic, with the pistachio cheesecake. And the tiramisu...
They get a 5 star for kindness and helpful
.i would barely give 3 f
or taste. We used for a party. The ziti was lacking flavor this was noodles and cheese. The chicken was a tray of mushrooms and chicken and all wet with juice or water. I would not reuse this reaturant. I was disappointed. And paid close to 400.00 for food that was sub par!
This restaurant provides fantastic service as well as enjoyable menu. My favourite spot in town. The food served quickly and the rates are reasonable. Highly recommended.
The food and service were wonderful. Save room for dessert!
Freaking amazing Bolognese. Garlic bread on point. Excellent service.
On 5/23/21 I ordered a salad with salmon, wine, bread and dessert. Salad came out doused with so much dressing it gave me a stomach ache! Barely mid way thru I told the waitress the salad was not palatable and she offered to replace it. I declined to replace it since at that point I had picked off the salmon and stomached as much of the salad I possibly could leaving more than half the salad. I proceeded to order dessert with a request to only charge me for the salmon and not the $12 unpalatable salad. The waitress said she would speak to management to see what she could do. When she returned to the table, the waitress said the best she could do is decrease the salad by half so they still charged me $6 for a salad that was gross! I asked her to replay my concern to management and i asked why management had not come to my table to address my concern. I was told she was too busy. Due to poor management practices they have now lost a customer for life as I will never return again. I'm hoping the owner will read this review so they can correct poor customer service practices!! Overall, food is a bit overpriced and quality is not what it used to be but the customer service sealed the deal for me!
Upon leaving, I stopped at the cashier desk and asked to speak to the manager directly since she was too busy earlier to visit the table. When I asked the cashier the managers name she said she wasn't sure! Then I repeated my request and said are you sure you don't know the managers name? She said there was an acting manager but she REFUSED to tell me! She said she didn't want to get involved! What?!? At this point I'm shocked. The waitress that had waited on me came over and said the acting manager would be right with me. I proceeded to ask for the managers name once again and she said Karen and pointed to her (who knows if that was her name or not...she had long gray hair and was middle aged). Apparently the acting manager was standing in my presence the entire time and neglected to even give me an acknowledgement! She was using the computer and refused to even look up at me nor acknowledge me or say I'll be right with you. At this point, I decided to just leave and share this review of poor management. I still tipped the waitress 20% because it wasn't her fault the establishment is poorly managed. Its clear to me the customer is NOT first at this place and I will never recommend Manga e Bevi again! What a pity. You may want to take your business elsewhere because they don't care if you enjoy the food or not!
Had Christmas Eve dinner with the family here, Perfect. Dinner was better than I expected. Very pleased. Family and I will be back. Thank You!
Just visited Mangia e Bevi, Sunday, 5/23. I LOVE when restaurants have outside dining! They have a great atmosphere with an innovative menu and some wonderful wine selections. I encourage you to try the wine of the month when available but La Cryma Christi Del Vesuvio was a fabulous substitution. Once again the wait staff and chefs outdid themselves! I ordered the calamari on the crispy side and it was cooked perfectly. I appreciate that they are flexible with me and substituted the spicy dipping sauce with regular sauce. My grilled shrimp caesar salad was outstanding. I love the dressing that they use and honestly can say that you would be hard pressed to find another restaurant that grilles shrimp better. Most important, even though they were busy I felt very well taken care of by everyone I encountered. Their customer service is second to none. I would highly recommend that you give it a try if you have not already or head back as soon as possible to explore a new dish on the menu! I will definitely be back soon!
