Makana Confections

Went up to Keri Keri and visiting the Makana cafe was at the top of my list.
Ordered the hot choc, carrot cake and tried the ice cream. Everything was underwhelming, nothing special about the cake or hot choc. The ice cream was bland if you were blinded you wouldn t be able to taste the flavour of them.

Skip the cafe and just go straight to the Store and buy yourself the Macadamia Butter Toffee Crunch you will not be disappointed.

Service was great too, staff were very friendly but yeah the cafe was a big let down for me.

The best chocolate cafe around! I had a trio of chocolate mousse and a tropical smoothie and they were both delicious! Friendly service and very well cleaned tables and bathrooms. There's also a shop next door where you can buy chocolate made here. Highly recommended for lunch, afternoon tea or just any time you have a craving for chocolate!

Welcomed by the lovely lady at the counter. Got straight into it by giving us some testers and told us more about the chocolates on display among the staff who make it while you watch! Lovely place to get great quality chocolate for everyone.

Was steady flow when we went in. Service person was confused by order and awkwardly stood until another person said we need to order drink along further but we didn't want drinks but Gelato. She then took our order and said to take a seat and they would bring it to us. Also ordered a coffee.
Took a while to get Gelato but was worth the wait. Coffee took even longer and was warm once it arrived.
Would go back for Gelato.

Brilliant staff. Personal service, tastings to make choices easier. Spent almost $100 here and were happy to. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Cafe side was great, good food and iced coffees and pleasant service by competent staff. Would give them 4/5.
The chocolate shop was completely different story with staff being officious and would not listen to customers. Did not purchase as much as intended as it was not a pleasant atmosphere. Hence low overall rating as the shop let things down.

Fabulous Chocolates. They even give a sample of their wonderful chocolates, and to add you can see them make the confectionary and talk to the staff at the same time. Great stopover. Just like Charlies chocolates.

Staff are friendly and courteous. Chef was very accommodating and knew the ingredients to the meals, as garlic and onion doesn't agree with us. Had the beef skewers to share, which was served in two plates. Not a fan of lemongrass, bit it was so shuttle that is was amazing. Beef skewers were tender and flavoured to perfection. Somewhat sticky rice was full of flavour and went well with the slightly curried peanut satay sauce. The hot chocolate is very good and we recommend having a 50/50 between milk and dark chocolate. The desserts are fantastic and a lot of effort is put into the the taste and creation. Tiramisu was fantastic, being soft, flavour some, with a few varieties of textures.

Was a wonderful taste experience, I enjoyed the well made latte and the beautifully crafted dessert, the counter staff were friendly and respectful, good atmosphere and the gardens were very nice to sit in. Definitely worth it and something I will do again.
