Entrance is on 22nd street...
Maps has you going to the post office or university of Arizona building on craycroft... then you have to climb over wall or make a left back out across traffic ,left at light then left into garden center. Great place friendly knowledgeable staff. Bad Google directions...

You learn something every time you walk through this truly Magic Garden. Knowledgble proprietors and staff are there to assist in selection and information. They carry over 13 pages of roses. Miniatures, highbred tea roses, shrubs and English roses. They offer landscape service and tree plantings. This plant nursery has classes and will offer rose pruning, and care class's this comming weekend if weather permits. Call to make sure if the weather is iffy.

Being a recent transplant and having to adjust to desert life I was thrilled when I found out about Magic Garden Nursery. From my 1st visit there it became my "#1 go to" place! Tony, at Magic Garden, is a walking Encyclopedia!! The entire staff has always been so friendly and helpful. On that very rare occasion if someone is unsure of an answer they find out to ensure you do get the right information. I just took one of their FREE classes (Native Plants and Desert Gardening) and I'm looking forward to several others they are offering on a variety of topics. You can check their website for when classes are being offered (go to "Articles & Info" and then "Class Schedule"). There are many variables when it comes to gardening - pests, type of soil, over/under watering, oops gardener's error, etc. - so, if you happen to have a problem with a plant or tree bring in a clipping of the plant/tree and ask their advice. It might be as simple as decreasing/increasing the amount of water or adding fertilizer to solve the problem. I do organic gardening and I bought Tony's "Earth's Original Organic" fertilizer and in doing my due diligence to feed my plants and trees they are starting to explode with growth!! Happy gardening!!

Love this place! The people are so nice and knowledgeable. Shawn and Carlos did some excellent work for me this morning staking 3 trees that had bent over in the recent monsoons. They were professional, punctual, and quickly fixed the trees so they look great and are secure but able to move. They also helped me with a problem i was having with my drip, without charging extra. You can t get better than that.

I usually start my vegetable garden from seeds, but haven t gotten around to it lately. Instead, I bought a large variety of plants from Magic Garden both last fall and for my summer garden this year. Every one of the plants has flourished. Broccoli, celery, onions, garlic, cilantro, Chinese cabbage, cauliflower in the winter and now cucumbers, tomatoes, several types of peppers and squash. No problems with any of them, which is pretty amazing.

We were very pleased with the selection and service of this full service landscaping and nursery business. The overall service---advice, plant selection and planting, and the installation of the irrigation system--- was timely and worry free. The employees were courteous, friendly and willing to go out of their way to please us. Nathan and his crew did a great job, and they stand behind their products and service.

Was very disappointed, whoever the older lady is who m answered the phone makes you feel like you are wasting her time and speaks to you like a moron. Unless you want to be talked down to and hung up mid conversation when you are trying to ask some questions, go somewhere else.

Great place for information and purchases of plants which will survive and thrive in our hot desert climate. My Tecoma Stans (yellow bells) purchased here is surviving and reseeding (mulitplying) though planted in a sunny spot.. Long after the similar plant from Home depot died..

Dismal. We purchased 3 trees and paid a $75 deposit for the pots. When we brought the pots back, the nursery asked for the original receipt in order to give us our money back! We would have gladly kept that receipt, but when we purchased the trees the person told us we didn't need to keep it in order to get our deposit back! Such liars and scoundrels. Wont' be going back here EVER.

Had a great time here. My daughters got to enjoy feeding the fish, and I received some great education and conversation. Not only is this place really cool to visit, I always get the info that I need over the phone and very personal interaction online on Facebook!
Don't skip this nursery if you live in Tucson and want great deals on plants, helpful knowledge and their special "magic fertilizer".

This place really is a magic garden! The grounds are perhaps a little bit barren in between, but the variety is phenomenal, the desert choices and non desert choices are impressive, their koi pond is gorgeous, and the people who own it are just utterly delightful! Plus, they have free gardening classes! How awesome is that???!?

A gem for sure! Great place, friendly and knowledgeable folks. With a little bit of everything plant wise. Bedding plant succulents Cactus trees roses vegetables! Some pottery and other little garden things. Most things fairly priced, others a little pricey. But overall it was a great find.

I stopped by last week to talk to owner Tony?
One of the nursery employees suggested I ask him about plant information and some tips.
Although my first 2 visits were enjoyable and I enjoyed going there, after introducing myself to owner and being received rather rudedly I will not return.
There is no reason to use words like condescending and excuse me if I am when someone has plant question.
