I'm currently living in one of the homes with my 5 month old son and it is the definition of love and grace. The staff are amazing, kind and so helpful and the house is so beautiful! This place has a wonderful mission. Please look them up and discover what a amazing service they are providing to women not just by housing but by the classes and support groups they have for current and alumni moms. They are always in need of donations for their moms with new born babies.

This place is the reason I am such a good and well educated mother! Maggie's place also has played a HUGE part in all of my success and sobriety. I went to Maggie's place with a couple of boxes and left with an education, a full understanding of what it is that makes a good healthy mom, a knowing of what having a family feels like, and a few handfuls of traditions that I will take with me for the rest of my life. This place was the first real home I've ever lived in and I will forever cherish the memories and friendships that were created here.

DONT BE FOOLED! Yea it may seem like they're doing the right thing, however no one has mentioned that one of their houses in Arizona has mold! Crazy part about it is how in denial they were/are and how much push back was given and still is given when a few of the moms that live in the house request professional and appropriate testing to be done. Sad part about it is, the fresh babies who reside in the house all have symptoms INCLUDING the pregnant mothers who noticed the issue at hand within their first couple of hours living in the home. It trips me out how many "good" reviews are here when these people are preying on pregnant gullible women and their unborn/newborn babies!

For those of you who are wondering, well why don't the mothers speak out? Reasoning is because they have no other place to go and some have tried but the issue was officially swept under the rug once they made small attempts of trying to clean the mold instead of having a MOLD PROFESSIONAL COMING TO TEST the entire home, not to mention that once the brief cleaning was done Maggies Place made some of the mothers(the mothers who spoke out about the mold issue) sign a contract basically saying that they took precautions to clean up the mold(no testing was done after the fact, plus everyone knows you just cant clean mold up and then the problem is solved) and if the mothers and their babies get sick there moving forward there is nothing that Maggies Place can and will do! Maggie's Place was not the shelter I expected. 12 years ago I walked into a home and my Maggie's Place family is still an active part of my family's life. While I'm on medical leave they have given me another hand up and provided counseling when I could no longer afford my copay, and they provide childcare during my appointment. They are a safety net for me in every sense of the word, I know I can turn to them in hard times, even emotionally and will be loved through it all. They stretch every penny and make every bit of support they receive go as far as possible. I feel really good contributing when I can. What felt like a catastrophe in my life became two of the biggest blessings, my sweet son and my devoted Maggie's Place family.

A very good friend of mine just got kicked out of Maggie's Place today with no notice while 8 months into a high risk pregnancy with twins. Nevermind COVID-19, nevermind she is in recovery, and nevermind her domestic violence victim status or her homeless status. She didn't have a single writeup. My friend raised her safety concerns to upper managment and it came down to a difference in personalities. Kicked out on the spot.
Shame on Maggie's Place (a Catholic charity) for such horrendous acts, especially on Good Friday! I will never donate a dollar to this nonprofit.
