M3 accounting + analytics

Great place to work, friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

I would not recommend this company to other people looking to apply. The place seems depressing, morale is very low. Every week we get an email saying another employee has quit the organization. The work distribution in the accounting department is not evenly distributed. Some teams work much harder than others. One particular team just goofs off and basically hangs out all day long (laughing and cutting up), so you know they probably need more work given to them. Some of the supervisors/managers (not all of them, just specific ones) should NOT be supervisors. They definitely do not know how to lead! I enjoyed my time there playing pool in the fancy breakroom, but for the work that I was doing and the high school antics I had to endure, my abilities and skill set is better suited elsewhere! One bit of advice for the company - 1) Make sure the workload is better distributed between each team in the accounting department. 2) Don't promote people to higher levels just because you like them or just because they have been there the longest - make sure they can actually lead and be an effective manager! 3) Hire based on skill set and the ability to do the job, not based on if the person would be cool to hang out with (that is one of the reasons why turnover is so high).

M3 is a wonderful company filled with 200 hard working and talented people. We constantly work to make this a great place to practice one's profession in a enjoyable and rewarding culture. Are we perfect? Of course not. Are we pretty good? I think so. It makes me sad when I read negative reviews, because to me, it reflects either an disgruntled employee, or a situation that wasn't brought to to HR or upper management for resolution. Either way, I think it could be better addressed and resolved with better communication in the moment.
