Mad Dog Riverboarding

Stoked to finally tick this one off the list, what an awesome day. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable and looked after us so well. The water was suprisingly warm with our thick wetsuits on, and the rapids were great fun. Nice to get a different perspective of the river too. Awesome way to spend a saturday morning!

The staff were attentive and gave thorough instructions and support through the experience. Really enjoyed the experience and whilst scary I felt safe too.

if you love the water this is the activity for you. I liked it better than river rafting. The wetsuit kept me warm and toasty, and the guides did a great job giving us the necessary instructions.

It was a lot of fun! It was a bit challenging for me time to time but the guides make sure to keep you safe throughout the trip. Highly recommend it if you like water and extreme activities. The water is cold but it's not too bad with the wetsuits.

If you like water and want a new activity, I recommend this! Two guides go back and forth together to help you get down safely. The water is cold, but I'm wearing a wetsuit so it's not too cold!

This was so much fun! I was quite nervous but the staff were so friendly and clearly knew what they were doing and the river super well. I was made to feel so safe, would go again!

We went as a family, and loved the experience.
* We met at the Gold Field Mining center, which was a great place to meet, as you got to have a quick look around there on the way to the changing area
* All the wet suits were well cleaned, and hung inside out, so you know they were nice to put on!
* The guides were real genuine blokes. Not the super cool guys that are just doing it for a quick holiday job!
* The rapids were not overly demanding if you're the super adventurous type, but of sufficient level to create a thrill. My wife was very scared at the beginning but soon realised this was just going to be fun and not too scary
* The second part where you drift down the river was just peaceful and a great veiwpoint from the river out to the mountains.
* When we got back there was Ham rolls and a drink. They went down well after a few hours in wet suits
* We got the photso too, which were shot from the bank, and the tour leader shooting from the water. Dozens and Dozens of photos, so that was a good deal. (Not the usual Choose 6 for $68 deal on other activities!)

All up, good wholesome fun run by good people.

Awesome Fun! Guides were amazing and made you feel totally safe. If you have already done rafting before then this is the next step. You can also take your own head mounted GoPro with you (I couldn't do this rafting) which was great.

This is an awesome outdoor experience that the whole family can enjoy. If you like swimming and adrenalin pumping fun this is the adventure for you. The experienced team that run the show are friendly and lots of fun. We can't wait to come back and do it again.

The best bang for you buck product in Queenstown. The guides are fantastic and the product awesome!

Seriously good fun! :D Awesome activity which was pioneered in Queenstown. You better know how to swim! You will go down some pretty epic rapids and fast moving waters next to massive cliffs! Such an adrenaline kick. Awesome team!

Highly overpriced for basically floating down a river with a board.

An unique adrenaline filled day! It was 10/10 more exciting than white water rafting, your completely in the water! The guides were great crack and we even got to cliff jump. The water was fresh but the wetsuits did their jobs. When else would your get the chance to board down white water rapids!! A must do. We went just after lockdown as a group of 10 and everyone was pumped. The Riverboarding team were so passionate about getting people out there on the river they took us out with a donation of what we could give. Unreal kindness during a tough time for everyone. Thank you Riverboarding team :) you're absolute legends!
