I'm completely in love of this place. It's good to have a little bit of delicious French cuisine in Westchester County. The service was very friendly, great suggestions from the waiter. The portions were small but worth every bite.
Love the atmosphere, very classy and quiet.

The food was good and it has very upscale environment. My husband and I enjoyed the food. I had ordered the duck and I had never had it before my husband order Venison for the first time. We ended up swaping plates because we like the others better. Wait staff attentive. If you are looking for a quite place to celebrate and try really good food I would recommend this place.

This is one of my favorite restaurants for family celebrations. In the past I've been here for birthdays, holidays and sometimes just because! This occasion was my parent's 50th anniversary and they did not dissapoint! We had Dover Sole, Soft Shelled Crab and Pork Chops...each meal was amazing! This restaurant is highly recommended!!

Menu is traditional old school french and feels dated and stale. Valet parking only, no other option, and no ATM on site. Maybe that's a personal pet peeve but I never seem to have cash on me when I encounter a valet and then have to negotiate adding a valet tip to my check. The staff was ok, but the manager was rude and condescending when my wife had a question about her meal. Won't be coming back.

The food was delicious! It was an amazing birthday dinner. I enjoyed everything a lot.
I chose the tasting menu and it came with a little bit of everything, the food was as amazing as I expected. I recommend this! But keep in mind that it is a bit pricey and you need a reservation.
I hope you guys enjoy it though, the experience is definitely .

An entire staff that goes out of their way to make every single moment feel special! AMAZING service from the moment you meet the valet, coat check, getting seated, server, etc. Just all around wonderful staff! The food is absolutely decadent, rich, and fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough!

A perfect dining experience. 10+
The welcoming service balances formality with friendly.
The outdoor dining on the 1st floor terrace was lovely, romantic and tables sufficiently spaced so that you couldnt overhear the conversation on adjacent tables.
The tables are beautifully laid with Villeroy and Bosch China.

But here s what continues to make la Panetiere special :
My wife often split various courses these days.
Last night we ordered the tuna tartare and instead of bringing the regular portion and placing it in the center if the table they prepared two exactly equal plates with all the garnishing.

I m not sure I ve ever experienced such a classy move as this.
So it goes without saying la panetiere is probably one of the finest restaurants in the Metropolitan NY area including nyc
Bravo to the excellent staff and their indefatigable owner Jacques.

The food, the service, the setting were all excellent. I dId have to send back my main course, halibut that was dry, crusty and ovoercooked, but the cod that replaced it was exquisite and the exchange was handled gtaciously. I was goven a Groupon, but will go again when I desire an elegant dinner.

As a Christmas Gift I ordered a gift card online. I called and was reassured it would get to me in time . When it didn t get to me in time for Christmas (2 weeks later) I called and the woman in charge of gift cards, Cheryl, who was extremely rude blamed the post office and said it was their problem . She again with an attitude told me well , if you wanted it by Christmas you should have picked it up yourself ! When I pointed how rude she was being she hung up on me ! I called back and spoke to the owner to let him know my interaction. I called several time now after New Years because I still hadn t received the gift card I paid for and never received a call back . I called my bank to dispute the charge . The gift card arrived over a month later with a date post marked on 1/4.

Based on how unprofessional and rude Cheryl was I will never go to this restaurant as I would assume if this is behavior is tolerated by the event planner(Cheryl) then I can only image the overall service and experience

If I could, I would give 4 1/2 stars. The 5 star points - excellent service, beautiful setting. The salad and my scallops were fabulous. Not so 5 star - My husband ordered the lobster dish and the lobster tail portion was a bit overcooked making it tough but the rest of the dish and lobster was excellent. The carrot cake was a bit dry.
Overall, really enjoyed the experience and would go back again. It was snowing on the day we went and the parking lot was not cleared but the walkway into the restaurant was clear.

Great service ! Staff was extremely attentive and pleasant.
Food was artfully arranged and served at the right temperatures. I especially like the Chatham Cod.
Housed in a building designed to reflect a French chateau, we loved the garden out front and the personal touches in the dining room.
Feels a bit cramped when crowded.
All in all... a very good experience.

Horrible service. Long waits. I had been gifted a gift card from a friend. The restaurant then mailed me a second gift card. When we arrived, I presented both upon the host s request. Felt tacky that the moment we arrived, they wanted us to present the gift cards and talk money, before we experienced any food/service. I didn t know the value of the cards, so a gentleman arrived at our table to let us know, one card had $50 on it; the second had $0. He then asked in an accusatory tone if a friend had given me an empty gift card. I was so insulted but I bit my tongue. You sent ME the gift card. Why is it my fault that the restaurant can not execute a gift card properly. Rather than taking ownership and providing good service, it continued to go downhill quickly.

The food was okay. My wife ordered a $75 tagliaterre with truffles and it arrived looking like it had sat under a heating lamp for 5-10 minutes. The decor was tacky, like putting lipstick on a pig. Excessive ornamentation everywhere you look. Ceiling tiles look cheap, like an elementary school classroom. Tables are very close together, so you are immersed in neighboring tables conversations, just as neighboring parties are privy to your every word if they care to listen. Certainly not up to the standard of other fine dining we have experienced elsewhere around the world and we have experienced our share.

The wait between courses was extremely long and tedious; likely a ploy to sell more drinks, but could just be another symptom of their disastrous service. I had to ask for the check 3 times before finally getting up to pay the check myself. I shared my dissatisfaction with the host upon getting the check and was instructed to write down all of my info on a card, so that someone could reach out to me. I was not looking for a free meal or any consolation, so I left without leaving my contact info.

I still would not be writing this review had my wife not received a menacing call today from their GM of this terrible establishment. She got her info from the Open Table reservation. In the course of the conversation, she insulted her, denied any wrong doing, explained why they were right and why we were wrong, she expressed dread over having to call us in the first place (as if it was wasting her time). My wife was polite and professional and although the conversation was absurd, she was in the middle of saying good bye and happy new year, when the GM hung up on her abruptly without saying good bye.

Even with the $50 gift card, we spent $300+ on subpar cuisine and abysmal service. We will never eat here again. We will tell all of our friends about this horrendous experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant at all costs. The Inn at Poind ridge and X20 Xaviar s on the Hudson, for example, are FAR BETTER restaurants and providers of customer service. I have never been so appalled by a restaurant experience as I have at La Panetiere.

Attentive service (no shortage of rolls and a great selection of breads before our meal arrived). The wine steward suggested a great wine at a lower price than the one we initially selected. Our server offered very helpful suggestions. All courses were delicious and the presentation was excellent. We will definitely return for special occasions (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries and graduations).

My fiance and I had a luncheon at La Panetiere to celebrate our engagement. Excellent experience all around. The service was great, our guests were impressed by the food, and the space looked beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant as a venue for your next event!

Got this deal from Groupon.. 4 course meal for 2 people(drinks not included), the Groupon deal was totally worth the money. Food was good, really delicious however, the service was just ok. It wasnt very busy but we had to wait a long time to get the attention of our server, no one came to check on us or to refill the water. But whenever my husband wine glass would get empty, all the servers would come one by one asking if he needed another one. Service sucks big time, staffs here were really up tight.

Fine dining at its best. The food is always incredible and the greatest challenge is in choosing among the menu options. The wine list is extensive but our waiter Carlos was very knowledgeable and was able to assist us in picking the perfect compliment to our meal. Perfect restaurant to celebrate any event in your life, even a special date night.

We came here hoping to experience classic French cuisine, and we left with mixed feelings.

The meat in the lamb stew was surprisingly dry and made the dish fall short of expectations especially since the vegetables and the jus were quite delicious.

The atmosphere was alright. The place was pretty empty the night we visited so it felt somewhat lonely.

Overall an interesting experience.

Cozy French fine dining restaurant tucked away in beautiful Rye. The atmosphere is very homey and reminds me of New England. Excellent and attentive table service. Absolutely amazing dishes. I had the strawberry gazpacho as my starter, followed by the mosiac carpaccio and the prime aged ribeye. So delicious! My shredded Napoleon was a great end to a perfect four course meal. Would definitely recommend.

I love French food and La Panetiere doesn't fail to reliever authentic French cuisine. It's a tad pricey but worth the experience.

Service and ambiance are superb. The wait staff are friendly, courteous, and prompt.

If you're in the area or just visiting, it's definitely worth a visit

This is such a lovely and special place. We have been coming here for years, usually on relatively special occasions.
Every time we come, we promise to do so more often. Tonight we had a birthday dinner, and one member of our group was required to be gluten free.
We were delighted with every course, and the gluten free situation was zero issue. The food is exquisite - perfectly prepared, and just unusual enough to drive home the point that the chef has super talents. The service is professional but warm too. And the decor is relaxing and lovely. We really can't say enough about how great this restaurant is on every level.

We had a change of plans on Christmas which necessitated our taking our family of 12 people out to eat. We chose La Panetiere having been there before and having enjoyed the cuisine. On Christmas, the service was once again impeccable. We had one vegetarian and one person in need of a gluten-free meal and two with sea food allergies and all were smoothly accommodated. The upstairs private room made for a warm and intimate experience for 12 people and we especially enjoyed the large round table which permits a group to interact. And the food---simply wonderful, scallops, liver pate, venison etc. etc. (check their menu), artfully arranged, arriving at the table of 12 in a timely fashion for all. Thank you!!!
