The food is delicious (and the portions are HUGE, especially on chicken/pasta dishes), and the wait staff is always quick and friendly. A mainstay of Newtown Square, La Locanda Ristorant...

A mainstay of Newtown Square, La Locanda Ristorante Italiano does not disappoint. Easily accessible, free, adequate parking, pleasant atmosphere, great wait staff & nice variety of menu & wine choices make this eatery a standout in the area. A little pricey, but worth it. What's not to like? ;-)

Last week was our first time we visited this place...

Last week was our first time we visited this place. But It is no doubt not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the generous service, with the exceptional meal and wine and with the comfortable price. We will definitely go back there soon.

Good plating and excellent light flavors. Keeps the purity and simplicity of the dishes and ingredients. Somehow this food tasted like what I imagined the people in the Godfather and other movies featuring classic Italian fare would have eaten. Truly excellent.

Delicious food and good service. Terrific restaurant for a special night out. Several servers know their customers well which is great. Pasta is excellent as is their veal and chicken dishes. Deserts are so so. Service is professional.
