The management and staff here are terrific. Vanessa and Michael were always very professional and extremely helpful both at move-in and at move-out. The security deposit was fairly high but all the move-out charges were fair. I got nearly the entire thing back.

I never interacted with the maintenance staff directly but Yohana and his team were amazing. There were a few minor issues that popped up but after filing a request things were addressed the next day. Overall, the units are well maintained. The hallways sometimes get a little dirty but I think that's expected given that pets are allowed.

The neighborhood is pretty good as far as Berkeley goes. It's walking distance from lots of stores and restaurants on both Shattuck and Telegraph while still being fairly quiet. The folks who live in the complex and in the surrounding houses are mostly friendly and all are reasonable.

Seriously one of the best places I've ever lived. The manager, Vanessa, takes care of everything for you. We've had a couple of maintenance problems since we moved in, but we either contact her or submit a fix-it ticket online and most things are fixed in the next couple of days. She even addresses concerns with the neighborhood, not just our individual apartment. Hopefully kasa knows how important Vanessa is and if she ever leaves they maintain her same quality of work!!
