Hyatt vs Marriott always a battle and in San Antonio I would say Hyatt takes the cake. Here I must say the JW Marriot is astounding. I would Highly recommend staying here!

Great downtown hotel and friendly housekeeping staff.
Front desk guy is not very welcoming..yawning on his mask in front of me.No introductions or further instructions/ directions / info ..very poor customer service He needs training.
Beautiful Hotel with great views. Only thing that doesn t make sense for me is that you have to valet if you have an electric vehicle and want to charge it onsite (charging is free so that s a plus). Easy walk or scooter around the city, great restaurants around as well.
Stay was ok. The beds were really, really hard. Woke up with back pain. When we booked we paid extra for a king but they gave us 2 doubles and didn t say anything about it at check in. The water they provide in the rooms taste disgusting like your drinking lake water.

Only ok for a convention hotel. Had issues with the room never solved or followed up. Had my luggage delivered to hotel and I had to track it down the next day. Obviously they so a lot of meeting so they have captive audiences so why try to enhance guest experiences.

Shower pressure is great... that's important when you have long hair.
Convenient location.
The hotel is wonderful. Love the location and layout. My only beef with the place is the food. It needs some improvement. As for service the staff is well trained and accommodating.
The whole place has a nice wood smell to it (cedar, I think?). Big open lobby that is very welcoming as a gathering spot. Front desk is super cheerful and rooms we clean with their own wood trim.
