This is my first time here.I ordered French toast with eggs over easy.
I asked the waitress twice if tgey could put my eggs on top of the French toast. Her response was no.I asked her again in disbelief and she said we don't do that here.Strange.Waiting fot our food .Hopefully the food is better than her response.

Parking can be an issue and wait times can be more than an hour at times. However, this is a testament to how good the food is at JNJ. The pancakes are light and fluffy. The sweet bread french toast is soft and buttery. The food is simply amazing.

I enjoy sitting at the breakfast bar the best as you get to watch the cooks fly through the orders while conversing with the restaurant staff.

The restaurant is small, so accommodating larger parties will be a problem.

Great service, great food, reasonable price, I have been a loyal customer here for a while now and they have their flaws like we all do. But in a not so perfect world, they serve some of the most perfect buttermilk pancakes ever. Big fan of Bacon? Get the fight on pancakes with a side of bacon and hashbrowns you will not be dissatisfied.

Found this spot on Yelp Saturday morning and went to check it out. It was AMAZING! There was ample street parking across the street and we had no problems.

We elected to sit at the high top table in the middle and only had to wait about 30 minutes.

Food was delicious! I had the French toast combo and my husband had the Chocolate Chip pancakes. Both were great. The coffee was also very tasty! The Portuguese sausage had me a little concerned when reading it on the menu, but it turned out to be so good and had the perfect amount of spice!

This will definitely be a breakfast spot we bring our friends and family to when they visit LA! Give it a try!

Saturday morning parking awful, 25 minute wait, with that said The Best breakfast, my 5 year old grandson ate all his pancakes said it was like home, he wants to revisit and soon. The buckwheat pancakes delicious, staffers were pleasantly informative about our questions. Worth the wait.

Food here is all-day breakfast and the restaurant closes at 3:30 pm on Saturday, (2:30 pm on weekdays). My bf and I arrived at around noon and we waited for about 10 minutes. Parking may be tricky as the lot is super small so we ended up parking on the street, about 2 blocks away.

First off, Jacks n Joe gets two thumbs WAY UP from me on just the economical pricing of their pancakes! The Z's prime deal is an absolute steal! (2 pancakes for $3.50, 3 for $4.50, 5 for $6.50 and 7 for $8.25!) There is also an option to order them with buckwheat for an extra $1.

I decided to order simply and get a Z prime stack of 3 buttermilk pancakes. My bf ordered a custom omelette with sausage, green onions, bell peppers, mushrooms JNJ potatoes & cheese ($7).

Food came out relatively fast and service was prompt. Condiments (ketchup, Tapatio & pancake syrup) were already on the table and sugar-free syrup was readily brought to our table when asked.

Jacks N Joe is the best place for breakfast in town. Their location is very accesible. Location and services was excellent. I went by myself and sit on stool in front of kitchen. The server was very good and the food is delicious. You should try their pancakes and I was surprise with their strong and good coffee. Definitely a place to visit while in LA.

Sorry but I'm gonna be a jerk about this place.
1) The lines on sunday if you do not come in early are insane. (we are talking hour to an hour and a half sitting on a curb.
2) Due to the fact that it is always packed, the waiter can be extremely impateient
3) The standard of service is just poor, you had better drink slowly because you won't be getting a refill until they come bring your food or until the bring the check
4) The food really is not all that good. I have been here 5 times and have tried something different each time all being extremely disappointing for having to wait an hour

This place is delicious and owned by two incredibly strong and genuine people. I love supporting the local business and the convenience to the USC community is a huge perk.

However, I have never been when there ISN'T a huge line out the door. The food is great but as far as basic breakfast goes, I don't think a stack of banana pancakes is worth waiting 1+ hours for. Also parking is a struggle. The food is worthwhile if you can snag it without the long wait times.

The wait is always long, but for a good reason, the food is delicious and the service is usually always great. The wait on average for a table for 2-4 people is about 20-30+ minutes. They have a neat selection of breakfast dishes and an incredibly delicious breakfast burger.

Happened to be around that area and consulted Google maps - okay let's check this place. The staff were friendly and it was quite popular - around 9 already people started to wait for tables. But the food turned out to be at least somewhat disappointing. The buckwheat pancakes were really mediocre and I don't know what to say about the omelette - don't try it.

They sat us down kind of fast but they took forever to take our order one of the girls passed by and she just smiled. They finally took our order and brought our food then they wouldn't offer us more coffee and there was an older lady who kept passing by looking at us like if she wanted us to leave.

Every time we come to Los Angeles we have to visit this place. Amazing ingredients, amazing food, great service. We live in the Bay area and we wish Jack n Joe's had a restaurant there! Lol.. no matter what pancakes you get you'll be satisfied can't wait to come back.
