Today was my first visit to Irwin's Pharmacy. We were referred to them by a vet., so that we could get properly compounded meds for our sick cat. Joe was courteous, professional and prompt in getting our prescription transferred from another pharmacy. Thank you Joe for all that you did - you helped put a happy ending on an otherwise drama filled experience! We look forward to doing business with Irwin's Pharmacy in the future! Loved the cat treats in the bottom of the bag - nice touch!

Love this blast from the past. The pharmacist are friendly and helpful. They have unique toys and candies for children including wooden toys, beautiful stuffed animals and puzzles. The diner is very basic but perfect. The staff work hard and put out a good breakfast and sandwiches. The root beer floats are enough, by themselves, to go there. And the milkshakes are made with ice cream and milk as they should be. No powdered stuff used here and the difference is unbelievable. You'll never drink another McDonald's milkshake after treating yourself to one of these.

Very disapointed with the customer service at the pharmacy. On 2 separate occasions I needed to speak with the pharmacist about a prescription that had been filled and he would not speak to me. After 26 minutes on hold, waiting for the pharmacist the clerk said "we are busy here". I will never give my business to someone who won't speak to me. Customer service is key to success.

We stopped in this place to check out the little diner (Irwin's Fountain) that they have inside. It was busy. After we ate there we did some shopping. Good service, great prices, and had a selection of random items as well as your usual convenience store products.

One of the last non corporate pharmacies and you can tell the second you walk in the front or side door. The staff know the customer and will go the extra mile(s) to help. They care about the community and they are the gold standard of what quality service should be.

I've always adored this pharmacy for it's old time feel and little diner but during this pandemic I'm a bit disappointed in them. Several people on FB state the pharmacist is making homemade hand sanitizer and selling a tiny 2 oz bottle for $6.00. Instead of trying to profit on a homemade item that people desperately need, how about selling it for a couple dollars and show some kindness towards the very community that has kept Irwin's alive all these years.
NOTE: Price gouging is definitely Illegal. If the market for the ingredients are low then don't sell it until you're able to do so at a REASONABLE price.

I have been using Irwin's off and on for more than 10 years. The people have always been amazing. I am finally transferring all my scripts to them. Hunter spent ten minutes on the phone explaining my meds, without any predudice. And that's a long time to take out if his busy schedule. I am tried of being treated like something I am not at my other pharmacy. I am done with big chain stores. Thank you Hunter for your help today. Oh and I absolutely love the candy display. It reminds me of a candy store I went to as a child.

This place is awesome. As many as have stated. You can get food while you wait on your prescriptions. But honestly the diner is worth going out of your way for. The staff is super friendly. And attentive and fast. I got the roast with carrots and red potatoes and it was on point. I definitely recommend this as a place to go eat in Chesapeake and will be going back.

I used to come here as a child in the 70's and get penny candy and pick out paper dolls. My mom always got a lime aid and they were the best I ever had any where period. Through my adulthood I have been chasing that childhood lime aid without ever finding even a close second. Today I walked in,sat down at the counter and started to tear up. I got a large and it totally took me back to childhood. Lol Crying as I write this.

Don't bring your drugs for compounding here. My cat had bloody diarrhea and needed his medication badly, he can't take pulls so needed them made into a liquid state. Brought them the pills at around 10am. Showed up the next day after work around 5 his much needed medication, and it wasn't even started. Never coming here again, I'd like my animals and myself to live.
