Wow!! I had the best pizza, extra Salami, I couldn't believe how delicious and juicy and flavorful it was! Made my night!

Square pizza slices that remind me of my summer in Rome! The only difference is you don't pay by the pound, but the different topping combos is definitely a delicious reminder of Italy!
This place is pretty busy on the weekdays during lunch because of all the businesses but you're still able to get a couple slices in a reasonable time. It is less crowded during Saturday at lunch (closed Sunday).
A hospitable down to earth eating establishment for a quick meet and eat with friends or co-workers. Indoor or outdoor seating with reasonable prices.
the pizza is excellent flavors are well balance and it won't break your wallet especially if you come by after 3pm with their special of $2.00 margeritta slice it's great for a quick bite. lots of more options though. come by and check it out .
Honestly some of the best pizza I've had. Very simple crusty ingredients and it comes out perfect: crispy on the bottom and a little chewy (not doughy) in the middle. The owner knows good mozzarella too with just the right stretch. There are two styles of pizza: Rossa (w tomato sauce) and Bianca (workout sauce). They have a great variety to serve the carnivore to the vegetarian and vegan. My favorites are the paletino and crostino americano (I love mushrooms). Definitely worth returning to.
Excellent food, great price, fast service. Can t wait to return! Was on a coffee run and saw Il Romanista poking out from a small space in the strip mall, the boyfriend went in and had Caprese (didn t heat as rec) and Four Cheese (heated as rec) and both were EXCELLENT. Very close to pizza in Rome without being in Italy! We were so happy to find this place and we hope to return either before leaving tomorrow OR when we return, this was a very exciting find! Impossible to just want a few slices, I want them all!
Fantastic pizzas! Everything I've had has been amazing and they are handling the COVID situation better than most restaurants!
Came back for the first time in a while and man I wish I still worked near here!
They do not take reservations for party smaller than 6, but we only waited for 30 min, not bad for Saturday night. Great food, we got the carpaccio, squid ink risotto as recommended by other yelpers-delicious! Also got grilled veggie pizza with sausage addition, also highly recommended!
Romanista pizza is mouth watering delicious! Love the zucchini mozarrela and salami! #pizzadeliciousness yummy for u tummy!
Terrible Pizza!!! Almost no sauce, hard dried out crust, and burnt hard rubbery cheese! I won t be going back there again!!
Wow! Must eat this pizza. Tasty AF and super friendly staff. Owner is always around and working hard. Was blown away. Just eat it.
What a great pizza shop. The pizza is unbelievably crispy. The owner is a super friendly guy. You have to try the pizza with the potatoes. If you're a fan of pizza then you have to try this place.
Great Roman style pizza but get there before 2:00 because they run out of slices.
Mangia Bene! Delicious pizza - great crust, great toppings and the people at il Romanista treat you like family -that's Italian!!
Great pizza and may be the best in this area. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.
Really really happy we found this place. Pizza places in strip malls and shopping centers tend to remind me of Little Caesars so I was hesitant at first when we walked by, but boy was I proven wrong. It's definitely fast casual, so don't expect a "dining experience" but the pizza is on freaking point. They always have a few special pizzas for the day and they always crisp the slices up for you after you order. Really good, fresh ingredients. To top it all off, their price point is SUPER reasonable. Off the top of my head I think it was $10 for 3 slices and a drink. Have been 3 times in the last month and will DEFINITELY be returning.
Bravo! Luigi makes the best pizza romana in SoCal. I've been looking for quite some time for a pizza al taglio and this is truly authentic. I will surely back
If you are tired of your ordinary everyday dominoes or such style pizza this is a must try for you. I love the choices of your not ordinary poes (such as pepperoni or the likes).
Who doesn't like pizza? Give this place a try, it's fast and fresh. Good ingredients, well-made crust and large selection. I can't eat cheese and there were tons of options. A couple slices sets you back under $10 and that's really all you need.
Wonderful pizza crusts with great toppings. Really good.
Awesome atmosfere, great pizza, good size slices, nice different variety of flavors. Loved!
I tried three different slices. None we're very flavorful. Light on sauce.
Great pizza. I would definitely recommend it and go there again.
Luigi brings Roman pizza to the Southland with unparrelled flavor, quality and service!
With new additions added at least weekly your tastebuds will never be bored. Seriously, I could eat here every day.
Grandissimo Luigi, great pizza, said by an Italian. Next time in LA I will know where to find the best pizza.
The cocktails are good too. No reservations, except you can call exactly an hour ahead of the time you are arriving, to put your name on the waitlist.
Amazing pizza. Great pickup options for group lunches.
Good diverse flavors, kind staff, but the pizza is more like flat bread with shi shi options. Good but not the pizza you're probably expecting
Pizza was okay. They have quite a few different types to choose slices from and then they reheat them (I think). I prefer a fresh cooked pizza but for a quick work lunch I didn't mind it and would come back if coworkers wanted to. Prices were reasonable and inside the restaurant was nice. Parking is usually pretty easy but could get busy as there are a few other lunch places in the same area.
This was awesome. When I saw it was premade pizza I was a bit concerned but when the pizza came out of the oven, omg. Pizza heaven
I got a free pizza refill as first time customer. Three additional pizza squares. Yummm.
Selection is very good. Much more than the space they have in the menu. Ask your server!
By all means check out this place but not too often. I want my selection when I go back tomorrow.
I was faced with the dismal attention and little predisposition of the kids who attend ...
It's a small place, soulless, with a pizza taglio that is not bad but all the attractiveness you can find is going with the soullessness that is this place ...
This is a office park gem in El Segundo that makes some of the best pizzas I've eaten in Los Angeles.
First of all you need to know that this is a "premium quality pizza" through and through ... the crust is outstandingly airy and light with a fantastic crunch at the bottom ... you can taste the olive oil at the bottom of the pizza without it being greasy or heavy. Oh and this is a square pizza!!! They cut no corners ...
The tomato sauced varieties have the best tasting sauce I've encountered in a very long time. You can tell it's made with the freshest of ingredients which translates into a rich explosive marinara flavor.
Please try the Amatriciana and Bandiera pizzas ... THE BOMB!!!
There are also vegetarian and Alfredo style pizzas which have great varieties of mushrooms and premium veggie options ... there may also be a gluten-free crust.
All the toppings including excellent meat choices are high end quality ... nothing typical about their choice of ingredients that you find in your large chain pizza franchises.
The proof is in the eating and I challenge you to find a pizza as delicious as those at il Romanista.
The place is run by two guys (same two guys I've seen in the last five visits I've made) who are very congenial. There's a large flat panel TV to watch sports ... The seating area is spartan; not much to brag about but it would still make a great place to have lunch with friends during ac work day but I suspect that most of their business is done through catering and takeout.
As I said, this is a premium quality pizza and it comes at a premium price; single slices are $4-5 a large full tray of pizza five to six people) will set you back almost $40 bucks. Half tray is over $20.
In my opinion the quality, the incredible taste and the overall execution is definitely worth the price.
Check it out for yourself when you're in the area.
I love this pizza place. I go here 1-2 times a week and the workers are always helpful and really nice.
The pizza is amazing; it s very tasty and crunchy and I love that they offer many options! The service is great too
Way more than I expected. Loved all the pizzas I tried
Wonderful Italian pizza !!! Different tastes but always quality at the top !!!
Loved this! Reminded me of being in Italy! Go with some friends and get one of each! They will cut them into smaller pieces for you.
Best Roman pizza outside of Rome. Roman pizza is not well known in the US. This is true Roman street food at its best. Shop itself is small but cozy. Always a soccer game in with fans in house.
Pizza was really good. We're ordered a whole pizza and it takes about 25 minutes.
Great roman style pizza, everything fresh and delicious.
As I said to Luigi few minutes ago, this place would be on the recommended list in Rome, let alone in LA. It's few minutes from LAX, so stop there if as Roman like me you feel homesick and need your share of pizza and football chatter. Daje sempre.
The pizza is delicious, and definitely a welcome change of pace from other triangular cuts. The restaurant's emphasis on the dough is clear, making for a unique (in a good way) pizza experience. The staff is also very friendly, and the location is extremely convenient for travelers.
Il Romanista makes for a great stop whether coming into or out of LAX. Don't miss it!
Great pizza , i come 2 times a week here great place. I travel 18 miles to get here . i take 2 boexs home with me now all the time it great.
A superb pizza by the slice restaurant. They have 15 different pizza options to choose from. Once you pick out which slices you want they pop them into special oven that cook them to perfection, crispy crust on the bottom and everything on top nice and hot with the flavors melting together. The pizza dough is so good that it would be great with nothing on it but a little butter. They only have pre-made salads, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.
Still my favorite pizza place. Especially love their dough and fresh ingredients. They also have potato pizzas and I'm a potato fiend.
Soooo good! My favorite pizza around here. Super fast service, too. They have four different vegan options that are really good and I m not even a vegan foodie
Excellent service, great drinks, amazing food... service was timely which allowed my group of 6 to get in and out right on schedule. The highlight of the meal was an osso bucco risotto - just perfect.
Great pizzas. Love the fact that they have so many vegan options that are so delicious. The only downside is I think I end up eating too much!
The stray pooch loved the beef and rice burrito that we shared.
Real Italian pizza- in the "Al taglio" style, which is rectangular and by the slice, rather than the round pizza you find in a pizzeria. Great pizza.
Gosh! Il Romanista sure tasted like Subway. I could have sworn I got a sub, but Google keeps insisting I ate at Il Romanista the last three times I went to this location. Pretty good subs. Maybe Google can do a better job of location if they want relevant reviews.
Pizzas look a lot better than it tastes.
I tried the mushroom pizza which tasted super dry. I had to chase it down with gulps of sodas.
The pepperoni pizza was just ok. A bit bland.
Creative cool concept, below average in execution.
By the way, why no parmesan cheese?!?!
Price is decent.
Parking is great.
Probably won't be back.
The overall atmosphere is nice, and the pizza is well crafted, but most of them taste underwhelming.
Excellent pizza by the rectangular slice. Lots of vegetarian options.
Had a slice of Prosciutto & mozzarella. It was good but salty.
The best pizza in the West side. The place to go if you're in the area.
Love the pizza here. Fresh ingredients and pizza is always good and crunchy!
I wasn't expecting much. This place hits the mark for authenticity pretty well. I will return and see if this place is truly as magical as I think it is. Try it. Trust me.
OK pizza, not worth $3.90 per slice, flimsy soda cups, all guys staff in the morning's not very customer service oriented
BEST SLICE IN TOWN... BIG ROMA FANS AND GREAT PLACE TO CATCH SOCCER GAMES.
Great by the slice spot in El Segundo. Great variety
Pizza was delicious, tried a few different slices and shared with my family. Thank you
