Square pizza slices that remind me of my summer in Rome! The only difference is you don't pay by the pound, but the different topping combos is definitely a delicious reminder of Italy!

This place is pretty busy on the weekdays during lunch because of all the businesses but you're still able to get a couple slices in a reasonable time. It is less crowded during Saturday at lunch (closed Sunday).

Honestly some of the best pizza I've had. Very simple crusty ingredients and it comes out perfect: crispy on the bottom and a little chewy (not doughy) in the middle. The owner knows good mozzarella too with just the right stretch. There are two styles of pizza: Rossa (w tomato sauce) and Bianca (workout sauce). They have a great variety to serve the carnivore to the vegetarian and vegan. My favorites are the paletino and crostino americano (I love mushrooms). Definitely worth returning to.

Excellent food, great price, fast service. Can t wait to return! Was on a coffee run and saw Il Romanista poking out from a small space in the strip mall, the boyfriend went in and had Caprese (didn t heat as rec) and Four Cheese (heated as rec) and both were EXCELLENT. Very close to pizza in Rome without being in Italy! We were so happy to find this place and we hope to return either before leaving tomorrow OR when we return, this was a very exciting find! Impossible to just want a few slices, I want them all!

They do not take reservations for party smaller than 6, but we only waited for 30 min, not bad for Saturday night. Great food, we got the carpaccio, squid ink risotto as recommended by other yelpers-delicious! Also got grilled veggie pizza with sausage addition, also highly recommended!

Really really happy we found this place. Pizza places in strip malls and shopping centers tend to remind me of Little Caesars so I was hesitant at first when we walked by, but boy was I proven wrong. It's definitely fast casual, so don't expect a "dining experience" but the pizza is on freaking point. They always have a few special pizzas for the day and they always crisp the slices up for you after you order. Really good, fresh ingredients. To top it all off, their price point is SUPER reasonable. Off the top of my head I think it was $10 for 3 slices and a drink. Have been 3 times in the last month and will DEFINITELY be returning.

Pizza was okay. They have quite a few different types to choose slices from and then they reheat them (I think). I prefer a fresh cooked pizza but for a quick work lunch I didn't mind it and would come back if coworkers wanted to. Prices were reasonable and inside the restaurant was nice. Parking is usually pretty easy but could get busy as there are a few other lunch places in the same area.

This was awesome. When I saw it was premade pizza I was a bit concerned but when the pizza came out of the oven, omg. Pizza heaven
I got a free pizza refill as first time customer. Three additional pizza squares. Yummm.
Selection is very good. Much more than the space they have in the menu. Ask your server!
By all means check out this place but not too often. I want my selection when I go back tomorrow.

This is a office park gem in El Segundo that makes some of the best pizzas I've eaten in Los Angeles.

First of all you need to know that this is a "premium quality pizza" through and through ... the crust is outstandingly airy and light with a fantastic crunch at the bottom ... you can taste the olive oil at the bottom of the pizza without it being greasy or heavy. Oh and this is a square pizza!!! They cut no corners ...

The tomato sauced varieties have the best tasting sauce I've encountered in a very long time. You can tell it's made with the freshest of ingredients which translates into a rich explosive marinara flavor.

Please try the Amatriciana and Bandiera pizzas ... THE BOMB!!!

There are also vegetarian and Alfredo style pizzas which have great varieties of mushrooms and premium veggie options ... there may also be a gluten-free crust.

All the toppings including excellent meat choices are high end quality ... nothing typical about their choice of ingredients that you find in your large chain pizza franchises.

The proof is in the eating and I challenge you to find a pizza as delicious as those at il Romanista.

The place is run by two guys (same two guys I've seen in the last five visits I've made) who are very congenial. There's a large flat panel TV to watch sports ... The seating area is spartan; not much to brag about but it would still make a great place to have lunch with friends during ac work day but I suspect that most of their business is done through catering and takeout.

As I said, this is a premium quality pizza and it comes at a premium price; single slices are $4-5 a large full tray of pizza five to six people) will set you back almost $40 bucks. Half tray is over $20.

In my opinion the quality, the incredible taste and the overall execution is definitely worth the price.

Check it out for yourself when you're in the area.

The pizza is delicious, and definitely a welcome change of pace from other triangular cuts. The restaurant's emphasis on the dough is clear, making for a unique (in a good way) pizza experience. The staff is also very friendly, and the location is extremely convenient for travelers.

Il Romanista makes for a great stop whether coming into or out of LAX. Don't miss it!

A superb pizza by the slice restaurant. They have 15 different pizza options to choose from. Once you pick out which slices you want they pop them into special oven that cook them to perfection, crispy crust on the bottom and everything on top nice and hot with the flavors melting together. The pizza dough is so good that it would be great with nothing on it but a little butter. They only have pre-made salads, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.

Gosh! Il Romanista sure tasted like Subway. I could have sworn I got a sub, but Google keeps insisting I ate at Il Romanista the last three times I went to this location. Pretty good subs. Maybe Google can do a better job of location if they want relevant reviews.

Pizzas look a lot better than it tastes.
I tried the mushroom pizza which tasted super dry. I had to chase it down with gulps of sodas.
The pepperoni pizza was just ok. A bit bland.
Creative cool concept, below average in execution.
By the way, why no parmesan cheese?!?!

Price is decent.
Parking is great.

Probably won't be back.
