I received the same letter the others are speaking of here. Am I supposed to call in and purchase something? I already have protection on my credit report elsewhere. Is this a sales pitch or what is this? Thanks.

This is legitimate, I was able to get through yesterday although they are working off mostly scripted answers/crisis management plan the information they are currently giving is not of much help. They do not ask for any personal information and are guiding you to take the proper precautions through placing security alerts on all accounts and fraud alerts through CB. :(

Just got a letter stating my information has been compromised. There is no information on the website or anywhere. Is this a scam?? If this is true, you are not keeping people information safe. Horrible!!!!

BEWARE: Lost my identity after a client filed a 1099 with them in 2018.

Comply Right is Legitimate. There are various news articles providing information about the company and the breach. With that said, I received my own breach letter yesterday and spending a hell of a lot of time securing my info. I know that hackers don't have to download your info. Not hard to take a screen shot (or phone pic.) and print your info off, then decide to use your info a year after your FREE "complimentary" credit monitoring service expires. These type of people are not dumb!! Those individuals whose information was compromised should be provided with a lifetime of protection not a measly year. Not everyone can afford an ongoing credit monitoring service. This company prepares and process tax forms through various entities such as Efile4Biz. They should have been more responsible! I am extremely vigilant with my info and cannot believe the amount of time, money, and hassle that I have to spend to double secure all my accounts and identity. Oh..and I would like to point out that my info has been swirling around freely for about a month and a half before I was notified. Furious!

I"m really confused. Have a letter dated July 13, 2018 stating something happened on May 22, is this legit?

I had problems in 2017, and for some stupid reason I bought it again for 2018. When you try to import from prior year, it wont import the fact you already have an e-file account. Same bug as last year. Support quickly sends you links on e-file which isnt the problem. Their import it and it still isnt fix. I miss the IRS deadline again.

Letter dated July 13, 2018 was received regarding a data breach associated with tax related forms such as 1099 and W-2's. Called their HQ in FL where customer service verified the incident and that the Portland, Oregon center should be contacted following directions and guidance in the letter.

Horrible. Demonstrated sheer incompetence when they didn't safeguard data correctly. Nobody should be conducting any form of business with this organization.

Received a letter today about compromised info. They said that my personal info been entered into their website by my employer. What the hell! I do't have any employers! I'm self-employed. What kind of scam is it?
