don't go!!!!
I'm 60 years old and can say this was the filthiest restaurant I've ever been in.
Walked into the bar and there was a large tray of dirty dishes on the bar, 2 people sitting at the bar which meant I was forced to sit at the serving station. starting looking around and the place was disgusting. trash all over the floor, wall paper pealing off, Formica peeling off the bar top etc..
Waitress dropped a shark and the bartender filled in back up. It hit the floor.....
To top things off, a waiter walked by with his pants down below his butt.
Not appropriate at a restaurant.
The restaurant needs an over haul and new teaching methods for the staff. I can only imagine what condition the kitchen is in. Gross...

I ordered the Sam Adams pot.
Most clams were unopened,
the crab was over cooked and tough.
Mgr Kay Grenon did not seem surprised when after the meal I told her about it.
She offered a free appetizer next visit.
Most good places would comp the meal for a one time error.
This makes me think it is not a one time error, so why would I want to go back?

They hired us to stop a leak in the kitchen area, which we did. after 7 months of trying to collect they informed us that they are not paying and it is too late to file a mechanic's lien. You should see the kitchen and then decide if yo want to eat the food.

Our family was harassed so much by a waiter at Joes Crab Shack that the waiter made our children cry because one wanted to take home a sliver of a crab leg.......after the GM said he couldn't help us??? Really??? Some lady called and offered us free meals....I just want my money back...she said no! Lol wow....now I've been trying to contact Corp for over two weeks and no one will respond....good job guys!!! :)

05/13/14 at Joes Crab Shack in Oceanside, CA don't waste your money eating there. The meal was crappy, the sole fish the breading fell off of. The clams strips were over breaded and then over cooked so that they were like rubber. The crab fritters had hardly any crab in them and they were overcooked. The server assistant did not know the difference between a hush puppy and a fritter. She had to go back and get my crab fritters to complete my order. Complained to the waiter and he gave us (was three of us) a 10% discount that when I read the receipt was the employee discount, no discount from the management. I wrote a complaint on the Joes Crab Shack and have not even been contacted back. Worst of all, the amount I wrote on my charge slip is not the amount that was submitted to my credit card company. A higher amount was submitted from what I signed for. So if you want good fish, in Oceanside, CA, go to the little fish and chips place just around the corner at the marina from Joes Crab Shack.

The people here at corporate are nice and polite and always professional. Too bad they are leaving this location.

With the disturbing images of a Black man being lynched and made into a cartoon-esque satire I am wondering what your leadership will do about this image being used in your Joe's Crab Shack establishments?

Joes Newport Beach - redfish last night diarrhea today. Tired concept theme restaurant. Last time there for me. Ignite Stock at $15 two years ago and $1.60 now. Gee I wonder why? Oh yeah we had 21 in our party. Talked to a few if the serving staff everybody thinks upper management is clueless- a small sample to be sure but looks like a sinking ship. Why only 1star ? Simple there was no negative rating available.
