05/13/14 at Joes Crab Shack in Oceanside, CA don't waste your money eating there. The meal was crappy, the sole fish the breading fell off of. The clams strips were over breaded and then over cooked so that they were like rubber. The crab fritters had hardly any crab in them and they were overcooked. The server assistant did not know the difference between a hush puppy and a fritter. She had to go back and get my crab fritters to complete my order. Complained to the waiter and he gave us (was three of us) a 10% discount that when I read the receipt was the employee discount, no discount from the management. I wrote a complaint on the Joes Crab Shack and have not even been contacted back. Worst of all, the amount I wrote on my charge slip is not the amount that was submitted to my credit card company. A higher amount was submitted from what I signed for. So if you want good fish, in Oceanside, CA, go to the little fish and chips place just around the corner at the marina from Joes Crab Shack.
