catering service is very very bad. no water is served. food always run out and no immediate refill . you have to stand and wait.
This hotel hasn't lost its allure. Still one of the best in its food, rooms, services, and location..
The hotel is great. Had an event there and the staff was very flexible and accommodating. The rooms are modern with a touch of Mediterranean design
Relaxing with a very old timey Spanish house vibe. The employees are wonderful and the food is excellent but there was a few things that needed repair in the bathroom. Aside from that we had an awesome stay
We stayed overnight with my family in a big and spacious bedroom however, the location of aircon unit is not strategic in a way that it only cools a limited space near the dresser. We were not able to enjoy the pool for it is under renovation. The buffet breakfast is the best!! From bacon to a variety of dishes to tablea drink... I will definitely drop by again for a sumptous meal!
Ambiance is good, rustic Spanish feel but with modern twist. Friendly staff and great food. However, the complimentary wi-fi is slow and some rooms doesn't have doorbells.
hotel receptionists and crew were courteous, great food and room accommodation
Nice view and clean rooms. Nice bathroom by local standards with running hot water and functional shower. There's also a fridge and patio with a nice view. This hotel is only five minutes from the beach.
The beach near this hotel is perfect for snorkeling, collecting coral, shells and I even found a blue star fish.
The upstairs has three rooms, a closet and door leading outside to the patio. The bottom floor also has 3 beds, a cozy little kitchen with a refrigerator.
There's a table for eating a couple feet away from the front door. The bathroom has fully functional shower, sink and toilet. This combination of essential features is hard to find without any bugs in certain parts of the Philippines.
You could easily have 7 people rest in the home because at least one of the beds is king size. There's electric outlets for charging phones and computers.
It's not too good, the staff like all the Filipino hotels where I stayed are very helpful, smiling, courteous however the hotel is almost too old even if it was more or less redone it Its own limit and the price of the rooms are almost those a brand new four star a few miles away. The entrance to the car park is very dirty since the bins are stored there, the ground is smashed. I recommend it only to people who are not friends.
I stopped at the wedding. The front desk needs a Japanese language translator. You need a cup of miso soup and a pot.
Its one of the oldest hotels in iloilo city. They have a long tradition of good food. Recent upgrades have kept them upto par with most of the newer hotels.
... clean rooms, nice staff and lovely breakfast. has minor flaws i.e. water leaks out when having a shower, but so far, acceptable soundproofed walls with great tasting food especially the international buffet.
Despite the influx of new hotels in Iloilo through the last decade, Hotel del Rio retains its pride of place as a reliable institution for fine dining and the site of so many family celebrations and milestones. The quality of our favourite lengua is consistently muy delicioso. Iloilo has made great strides of progress in this millennium. Del Rio manages to keep up while keeping the old traditions we cherish.
Visited the hotel for the dinner buffet at Cafe del prado. The selection was not that much, but what they lack in variety was up for by the quality. Each dish was outstanding by itself, i really loved the fresh lumpia made with egg omelete however as it light yet packs alot of flavor. Spent around 670 php per person, which is just the right amount for a decent meal.
Good food and superb service at an affordable price.
Nice service, rooms will maintained, foods are good and the staff's are very accommodating?
Comfortable, spacious, staff is friendy, highly recommended
Cozy hotel and the restaurant serves fantastic food. The room is a bit wary though and quite expensive compared to new sorrounding hotels in the area.
Accessible even if you just commute. Foods and services are good; bathrooms are clean.
The food during the seminar was fantastic and delicious
The best hotel by location, rooms and buffet offer.
Indulge yourself with its breakfast buffet at very reasonable price.
Clean, old-fashioned but well maintained, small pool, central location, quiet, good restaurant, rich buffet breakfast, large rooms, comfortable but poorly lit bathroom. I would return
Good hotel that has come out of the years, very good and helpful service
Located at the heart of the city, the hotel offers a nice place to stay. You can enjoy the serenity of Iloilo River while dipping in the pool.
The place should be livelier with more options for good food.
Had buffet breakfast... great selection of filipino dishes including puto, tsokolate, batchoy, tocino, and also chinese and continental dishes.. lacked a cheese selection though.
Lucky enough to be at the riverside view of the hotel. Loved the ambiance and the feeling of natural air touches ur face in the morning.. With complete personal care u need during stay..
Everyone was courteous and very helpful. Our stay in Iloilo has been made more special because of their staff. Will come back again soon.
I haven.'t done any transaction in this area but I think this place is great.
Good food selection
Nice and helpful staff to guide you
Not too exensive room rates and food.
Place is newly renovated though amenities is little. Good food and service. Staff and service crew are polite.
During our stay, there were ongoing construction to some parts. There were noises even during our training. The hotel room is good. They tidy the room everyday.
An updated classic. The coffee shop and it's menu has just undergone an uplift and renovation. Food is still great, still with good choices.
The hotel has a unique resemblance of the past and the future.
It is good for forum, seminars, trainings and wedding reception.
Good Staff, food but an old hotel and some small things may not work, faucet, TV and power plug.
Tastes like home... Breakfast at Del Rio.
Solicitous waiters, some waiters I have known for 20 years or so.
Nice, old hotel.Hotel staff are courteous. Needs an upgrade in rooms, though as they are a bit old. Rooms can't filter out noise from their events area.
Breakfast buffet is ok. Not so great but decent enough. Staff are helpful and don't rush you to finish breakfast by 10 a.m. They have very good native tablea hot chocolate.
The prize is just right. Good ambiance. Friendly and accommodating staff.
The staff are very accommodating and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The coffee is not that good though. hehehe
Was there for the Madz Concert. Hall well prepared and laid out. I was wondering about the acoustics as the hall ceiling was quite low for that kind of a program. They need to do a better sound check for the hall with a very good sound expert; that includes placement of speakers and actual output volume. It was far too loud early on, more reminiscent of an open air barrio dance fest instead of a high level cultural show, which the Madz Concert always is. So, only 3 stars for that evening event for Del Rio, but 5 stars for the Madz
An old hotel in the middle of iloilo's first commercial center area
Good service, approachable employees and gorgeous female receptionists..
Booked room had bugs and roach. Immediately left and went to another hotel.
Great Food and Great Service plus the price is totally worth it :)
We've been comfortable during our stay there. The vicinity is nice and the service is excellent . The staffs were very accomodating too.
It's the place for the best tasting spread of banquet buffet for weddings. It's an old hotel so it has that rustic and homey feel.
