We have friends who only buy from Heath ceramics. The store is a treasure trove of beautiful high-quality dinnerware and decorative items. The staff is so well trained and so well versed in the merchandise. The parking lot is the pits- especially when it rains and there are puddles of mud. It is lumpy and bumpy.

conveniently located near my previous work and home I used to visit this place often with my wife. nice colors, tones and design items/ceramics. nice and friendly staff. Don't miss out on their 2nd quality items and factory tours. They also have tiles and other items in collaboration with other designers.

A lot of items were lined up in a small store and I also visited LA 's roadside shop, but this one was fun and rich in color, for example. The quality is also high enough not to know which side is the outlet, Heath of design that is strong and dull anyway. I can find good products.

Even though it is a B grade product, it seems that there is no difference in quality, so I recommend it to those who do not mind. Clerks also answer questions properly.
As it is a sturdy item, I was told that it would be okay to have it by airplane boarding. I brought home with baggage once.
People from Japan think here Alden and Santa Cruz 's Patagonia route is not bad.

Amazing collection of artisan grade ceramics.
The Sausalito location is Heath s factory that has been 1959, the original location. In the factory you can take tours and also buy ceramics. More so, here you can buy pieces at discounted prices which are not available at the store in San Francisco. Check it out and buy local made pieces of art.

Wonderful tour that would appeal to anyone who loves ceramics or knowing how things are made. The history is so interesting and the ceramics, while on the expensive side, are made to last. The best part is the seconds section where you can get great stuff for a reasonable price. Easy parking. Have lunch at the nearby Seahorse, a hidden gem.

If you're dreaming of bringing Chez Panisse home, this is the place to get your dishes. Definitely love the jade green, white, teal and pomegranate color combos with brown...even more, I know I can bang these dishes around and not have to worry about breaking them very easily. I came on a Thursday so I missed out on going on the factory tour, which I'd love to do sometime. There's a ton of tile to admire. The shop is clean and very well organized. For bargain hunters like myself, there's a clearance shelf with work with mistakes (missed glazings, accidental indentations, etc).

Loved the tour and the intimate feeling of this classic business. I don't like how expensive it has become. You can't help but feel the quirky art has been traded for corporate profit. The best part is looking at the cabinet full of the original ceramics that Edith Heath made herself including all the cute buttons to maximize the use of the ovens.

The factory in Sausalito is easy to find from the main stretch, nestled by the water in what appears to be a business park. There is a dirt parking lot right out front of the showroom, convenient for carrying heavy boxes of dish sets back to your car. The staff are helpful, but will leave you alone to browse to your heart's content. You are welcome to pick up sample pieces and arrange your own place settings...you get the best ideas for combinations just by wandering around the showroom with plate in hand, putting atop various pieces and re-arranging until you find the perfect set. You can find great deals on second quality pieces here that you can't find in the retail shop in the Ferry Building. You'll easily save a couple hundred by purchasing seconds and you really can't tell the difference. They also run periodic sales and specials. There is also a small gift section with books, jewelry, and other related ephemera.
