Expensive place to shop, but good all the same. Super friendly staff, very clean store, and no long checkout lines. While I shop elsewhere for the majority of our groceries, I buy almost all my fresh meat and freshly baked breads here about 4 times a week (I like fresh!). In my opinion, these items are definitely the best quality & taste over other grocery stores in the area. These aren't overly expensive either, especially with their shopper's card sales. (I have not shopped at any other Haggens, just at the Barkley Village store).

Good place to get things when they aren't at a cheaper store. The workers I've interacted with where nice and made jokes the whole time. Everything is really organized too. Also like the sitting place there.

This was our go to place for all our grocery needs while on vacation. Wish we had this store in Atlanta.

The lady in the wine department was aussume very helpful!

My go to when I am in hurry and want to put together good ingredients for great meal.

It's a great place to go, fairly accessible. The only lame thing is the corporate bodies who own it. They have regressive politics, but if you can put up with that, it's great.

First of all just looking at the front of the store told me that I was in for an amazing food experience. The place just reeked of freshness and quality! I was just visiting the area but when I move there it will be my place to shop. If you are a foodie then set aside a couple of hours to explore, taste and smile your way through a whole world of wow

Good selection of local and organic foods. However, the ready-to-eat food that's prepared in-house is of low quality and many of their bakery items include unhealthy increadients (e.g. HFCS, non-organic food dyes, etc.)

Do not buy prepared food there. Do not buy from meat counter. Packaged meats are sometimes okay. Produce department tries really hard against some pretty tough odds.

Employees are really strange. One unfamiliar produce employee was talking loudly to himself about jobs transfers, while the other two employees were hiding from him.

The only good department would be the pharmacy.

The Haggen trustbrats really screwed these stores up. I guess it's representative of Bellingham. No, I know it is.

The food itself is rather expensive. I can't afford to shop there but their pharmacy is superb!!! They are so helpful. My prescriptions are ready when I need them and they remind me when I need them filled. The staff are always friendly and smiling even when their day has been long and hard!!

The prices are a little bit High here but when you need something it's usually their most time

Great donuts, but generally their groceries are overpriced.

Best and freshest produce meat poultry and dairy in town.

Haggen is still better than most in the grocery space. Probably my favorite place to shop. Good bakery, hot food, deli. Local fresh vegetables. Its still a 5 star grocery store.

An upscale store with vast selection of local/regional products as well as wine and beer.

Even before you walk in, the plentiful displays of flowers and fresh produce entice you. The subdued lighting is easy on your eyes and the entire store puts you at ease.

It's hard to pick one department, the huge produce and ready-to-eat section of the store is inspiring. So I guess you should start here, work your way around to the back to get your fresh fish or meat, and then head towards the front, thru the beer/wine dept. to select your beverages. Enjoy!

Came here in the morning around 730 for breakfast, lunch, coffee, and work gloves.

They had many gloves. None large. The workers were really nice but not around. All they had for breakfast options was meat. Not good for a vegetarian. Coffee was cold. I stood for 15 mins waiting for someone to ring me up.

I spent 25$ outrageous

Then I tried to leave and the alarm went off.

My suspicions have been confirmed. When the FTC mandated that Albertsons (owner of Safeway's VONS in SoCal as well) sell off the stores in monopoly markets, the bid was won by Bellingham based Haggen. However, Albertsons wasn't about to give up so easily and so in a backhanded action to remain the monopoly in certain markets, they worked the system so that Haggen was given the stores that would be the hardest to convert and the most difficult to maintain financially and in a community status form.
Yesterday, Haggen announced they are forced financially to pull out of their newly acquired locations in California, Nevada, and Arizona and will be focusing on Oregon and Washington where they are more accepted.
For the time being, Albertsons has now evaded the government's checks & balances to avoid price gouging by killing their competition through deceit and sabotage.
In their eyes, Albertsons has won. But for how long? Aldi is coming to SoCal early next year. The now empty stores are palatable for other companies to move in. Haggen may have been attacked and plundered in their quest into the south-west, but the saga is not over yet.

Clean, well stocked store. Slightly higher prices than other grocery stores but offer some specialty items not seen in the other stores.

Great store to spend extra $$$ at. I love paying more for the same stuff I buy elsewhere for considerably less

Not much organic, no grass fed meat. Still kinda expensive. I'll be sure not to shop here in the future, when whole foods or trader Joe's are much better

I only come here for a few items. Love their bakery rolls and Cascade Bread. Artisan breads are a fave in our house as well!

Great selection and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the change table in the men s restroom is hidden in the stall and has no garbage nearby making it a tough place to bring my little. Will update if things change.

Great place for shopping for all kinds of food all o of baking and fruit and vegetables and cooked dishes

Very clean and always top end items with reasonable pricing. Staff is always helpful and courteous.

It is a good place to buy all of that if they have duel prices that are described cheaply.

Hagen's tries to keep organic foods in stock. Friendly people work there.

One of the better grocery stores in Bellingham. Excellent deli meats, haven't tried any baked goods. Produce and meat selection is good.

Nicer grocery store, always friendly staff, higher end products than most grocery stores in town. Pharmacy staff is professional and friendly, always take time to answer questions and not too busy to make mistakes which has happened at more busy pharmacies .

Great. But a little bit more expensive than Fred Meyer.

Thebproces have gonw to and portion sizes down. A cashier ans a supervisor where standing around talking and swearing in front of customers.

It's pricey but if you have a customer card it helps if you need something in a hurry

My favorite grocery store in Bellingham. This is one of the smaller places but they have a wide selection and fresh produce.

Their prices are higher than most stores but I only come here for their salads and donuts :)
I often get their salad sampler for my work lunch.

Pharmacy staff inconsistent in competence. Too many people rotating through.

I love that they have plain clothes security at that store because the more you catch the better the price

Used to be an amazing higher end store, locally owned, that was very pleasant to shop. Produce section especially was always top notch. However, since Albertson's has taken possession, the store disappoints. Produce is on par with other Albertson's stores, small, overpriced and not up to the standard I've come to expect.

Spent $20 on a average size plate of Chinese food. This place is awesome

I'm new to Bellingham and found haggens to have nice produce and other products. I like their bakery section and especially the large bulk selections. Not the cheapest store in town but convenient for me and certainly well priced for what they have. I also found a few really great sales. Also, a great selection of garden plants and flowers.

Haggen is open 24 7 and has everything average people could need. I go for snacks and there is much to choose from, including an appetising deli and chicken wings I regret eating every time :).

To expensive. ReDesigned all the time to keep u walking thru aisles looking for the DAMN BREAD! STOP MOVING IT. AT DON'T CHARGE A SALE PRICE OF $4.99 FOR A LOAF OF WHITE BREAD. IT'S RUDE, EVERYONE KNOWS WHITE BREAD IS CHEAP 1.99 MAX.

I will say the deli section has gotten Way better. Clearly thats what they care about but I try to avoid going here because I feel like I'm buying name brand quality stuff at high prices but then get home to find something rancid. Not cool. Me your stock guys work double time. Shouldn't find sell by dated stuff weeks after like up front as if y'all put it there waiting for some dumb a... Like me to buy it not paying attention

I love all the Haggen stores but limit my shopping there to Sales priced items because their prices are so expensive. But I'm s faithful customer for 48 years.

This place is well cleaned but, hardly worth the price. Go if you want to pay $4.75 for a box of Wheathins! The competition has better for less. Oh, if you want the obvious gay at the register to make a pass at you then, this is your place...

It is what it is, nothing big about it but the prices are ubserd to me. Only go here on a need to go basis.

Cool, intimate venue. Would like to see more Grateful Dead cover bands. But hey, it is what it is. Maybe a bit more of a local brew selection.

Such a great store! Friendly staff, a terrific selection of local products and an easy-to-shop layout. This is my go-to stop for everyday shopping. I also love their wine and liquor department. They have a wide range of bottles at good prices.

So friendly, well stocked grocery. Delicious gluten free cookies in the bakery.

At the new high end sandwich counter the guest before me recievesd a burnt sandwich. I then waited 10 minutes for a cold sandwich that was supposed to have been grilled (I was asked and said yes). Not worth the time or the 10 dollars.

This was a store I fell in love with. I only wish each location had the same things. Haggen is the only place to get a lot of the foods for my diet needs. I hoped sale of the chain would lower prices instead prices have gone up. But Albertson Corp is know to milk a chain dry with high prices.

Very good grocery store. I love their fresh produce and some of their burger patties are amazing. Can be a bit pricy sometimes but is overall a great place.

The store is over priced even sale prices are higher than other stores. It's the most expensive store in town even more than whole foods.

This is pretty pricie store, but quality of it pays it of. Personel is nice and friendly, any questions or problems are solved in a quick and proffetional way. Great place for grocery shopping.

Good selection of natural foods and organic produce.

Shopping here can be a little expensive, but the local and organic selection is topnotch. They have a great hot bar and bulk section with lots of dried fruits and grains.
