The hotel's lobby is very tiny but the staffs are really friendly. I love its lovely patio and its elegant breakfast room. Breakfast is simple but as long as there're fresh fruits, breads, pastries, egg, cheese, tea & coffee and there's even porridge ... well those are enough.

I love the room: spacious, clean and classic.Free wifi and speedy. Great location, only 5 minutes walk to Place Massena.

For location this hotel is really great. The city shopping is 3 minutes away. The old town and promenade is also just a 5 minutes walk. If you don't mind the quaint charm of an old building you will overlook the small elevators, AC which doesn't work great and a cramped ambiance. The morning breakfast has a great selection of food and will satisfy even a gourmet.

Absolutely Fantastic! Lovely cosy hotel with '40s style, yet modern amenities. Perfect location for seeing the "old town", getting to the beach, the Marina or Place Garibaldi. The staff were totally amazing! Friendly, polite, professional and exemplify customer service! The breakfasts are soooo good! So much selection, and every bit tastes great. Got back Yesterday and I'm missing the place already. Can't wait to go back. 100% Recommend!

Very friendly staff at the front desk. Our room was one of the smaller ones; traditional style which we liked. Yet we have seen better bathrooms. Breakfast was basic, but ok. Using the valet parking service was a good idea as parking spaces are very limited.

The furthest thing from a 4 star hotel I have seen...rooms are smelly and tiny and the air conditioning didn't work in ours. While I was checking in there was a lady at the front desk who got her luggage stolen from her room. I have stayed at hostels better than this.

I can only express my opinion on the brasserie part, three places side by side to syrup a cocktail, three atmosphere, the bar, the lounge, the terrace inside the hotel, a very pretty cocoon, nice map very good tapas for a business meal, a date with lovers or Jazz lovers

Staying at this hotel as I write. booked via Secret Escapes, thought it would be a nice place to spend my husband's Birthday, Location good, breakfast good, terrace nice and relaxing. Staff very friendly.
Now for the BAD. Supposed to have a Deluxe Room, which is on the front the hotel, very busy and noisy. Have to have window open for air. Bed very hard. very small shallow wardrobe not deep enough to hang our clothes up. 1 door fell off when we tried to open it on arrival. Aircon not very good. Bedroom furniture looks very cheap. Bathroom very very small. Not at all what we were expecting for a 4* hotel. OK, we got a last minute deal, but a Deluxe room would be the same for whatever you paid for it.

My hubby and I stayed between 12 and 19 May 2018. A lovely hotel situated centrally. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel bar has happy hour between 5 and 8pm with 30% discount, and the lady tending the bar (on some evenings) was extremely efficient, runs a tight ship and makes a great Kir, so well worth a visit (or three!)
The only negative for me was there was never any Jazz music playing in the Jazz-themed bar!! We have already discussed returning to Nice (we sadly missed Cannes because of the film festival) and staying at the Ellington again.

Somehow there is no restaurant for dinner Well there is a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood but I have trouble with supermarkets and department stores but it's convenient, but there is a coin launderette right after that so I wanted to do the laundry everyday because it was hot every day I wanted to know early

Great little hotel with a nice character and amazing location to old town and the sea front.

Room was pleasant enough with nice views but was so hot it was almost unbearable at night as air con did not work.

Saying that the hotel staff were great, the bar at night was a good place for a drink a d breakfast was super tasty with plenty of choice.

Overall we loved our stay here and would have probably gone 5* was the room a bit more comfortable to sleep.

The staff are lovely, downstairs is beautiful but that's where it ends sadly. The room is more of a 2 star, very basic, no drawers, the sliding wardrobe doors didn't fit.
The air con didn't work so we opened the window through the night and woke up to at least 50 mosquito bites each. We were only there 3 nights but would have been more disappointed if it had been longer. Loved the city itself though.

Booked through Jet2, lovely hotel, good amenities close to the tram route and beach. Walk to the old town, about 15 minutes walk. Where you will find flower market, and plenty of cafes and bars for good food. Street acrobats provide good entertainment, beach close by. Only one fault, the so called ''jazz bar' didn't play jazz music. Only some contemporary stuff with that incessent back beat. Come on, put some Zaz and the older jazz music on the sound system.

This hotel is in s fairly good location, central to the train station and beach. The bedrooms are functional, but not spacious but clean. The only true letdowns in the room was the over the bath shower and one of the mattresses was uncomfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and very reasonable. If you pay at the hotel, it's only ten Euros per person per night which is much better value than paying in advance.

Really great hotel, some of the rooms are really small but clean and tidy and the staff are very welcoming. We were very hot at night and left the window open, big mistake as we were eaten alive by mosketos. You can ask for a fan for your bedroom and the staff will get one for you. The breakfast was good and fresh, I think they swap meats on alternative days so bacon on one then sausages on the other but on the whole it was good. They have a happy hour which the wine goes down to about 4.5 euros and it is a nice one. You also get free crisps if you ask for them which is a nice touch. Overall we enjoyed the stay here and would stay again.

Very rude staff. Firstly I was directed to the wrong floor when I checked in. Then when we wanted to call the car rental company and asked the staff at the front desk to help us, Barbara said to my wife why can t you call Europcar yourself ! Absolutely substandard in my opinion. When a junior staff member on the front desk then tried to help my wife, his manager shouted at him and told him off.

The rooms are ok, belie usual 4* standards, but this is Nice (so the city is generally a bit run down)

In my opinion this has the worst hotel staff of any 4* hotel I have stayed at (there have been many across Europe and the US)
