This place is a total gem in the neighborhood. I've come in several times for different reasons (buying strings, checking out acoustic guitars, asking about banjos) and the staff have always been super welcoming and helpful. Recently bought a new guitar there and Brian, the owner, was happy to help me try out a number of guitars to find one that was right for me. I work at a guitar school in the neighborhood and always send folks here for their guitar needs. Highly recommended!
These guys did a great job fixing a 1972 Guild electric guitar that had issues with the bridge. They were very attentive and easy to work with. Glad to have a found a 'go-to' place for my repair needs.
Great experience when I brought my guitar for an overdue re-string and tune up. Cool space, great people who care about the customer experience and music.
This is such a great shop. I've stopped in every so often to try out their guitars and see the pianos in various states of repair. The owner, Brian, is lovely, as is everyone I ve come across while visiting. The atmosphere is old school, really couldn t imagine a better instrument shop. Not a huge selection, not the most expensive, but quality. Can t recommend enough!
I went here the other day to purchase a guitar. Brian was very friendly, and answered all my questions. He showed me a few different options, before we settled on the right guitar for me. I will definitely be returning soon. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly, and it felt great to support a local music shop.
I ve purchased a parlor guitar and a mandolin so far from Brian. Service is very personable and knowledgeable. They ve got rare finds at great prices and always have something new to check out. I ll be back for a new instrument soon!
Best guitar set up I have ever had in like 25 years playing!
In this age of online shopping and music super stores it's nice to be able to go into a local guitar shop with great instruments and get first class service from a knowledgeable staff. This is definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the market for a guitar.
I stopped into this corner guitar and piano store to get some playing on while I was on vacation. The owner was so nice and knowledgeable about fixing up instruments. As I played, we chatted about music and I watched him give excellent customer service to the people that tricked in. I feel inclined to leave a good review because his store is in tip top shape, plus he was kind enough to let me play music while being personable at the same time. Definitely visit this store! It's where big time local musicians go!!
Great local shop. Super helpful. Nicely curated selection of guitars. Really nice people. So glad I went here instead of guitar center. Highly recommend!
11/10
really cool guy repairs beautiful old pianos and sells guitars. you can try out a bunch of different guitars and get a feel for them. one of the guys in the store who's a guitarist demo'd the sound for me. would highly recommend coming here to buy a guitar. same price as online and way better experience.
Such a nice place. Very cozy, the stuff is so friendly. A wide range of classical guitars... Highly recommended!
Brooklyn Fine Guitars is a great spot. A cozy shop with a curated selection of instruments and a welcoming vibe. It feels like walking into a friends living room. Brian is incredibly accommodating and helpful when walking you through the practical questions one might have when purchasing an instrument, no matter if you're a first timer or an old pro. Purchasing a guitar here is a pleasure, and even if you want to simply stop by to ask questions or play a few models to get a feel, Brian is happy to make the experience a pleasure.
Brian was so helpful and patient in helping me choose a guitar ( I spent over an hour trying out different acoustic guitars with the owner, Brian)! The shop and service is so warm and inviting. They are thoughtful in the products they carry and took great time and care in helping me choose the right guitar. Couldn't be happier!
Very friendly and patient with us shopping for a guitar.
In my search for an acoustic guitar, I was referred to Brooklyn Fine Guitars, and I am so glad that I went there. Mike was very helpful and attentive, and because of him, I found an acoustic guitar that fit me perfectly. Brian, the store owner, is not only knowledgable, but also very kind and friendly. I would recommend this shop to anyone searching for a guitar. They are sure to help you find what you're looking for.
Quick turnaround and reasonable prices, bass guitar plays better than it ever has after a setup from Brooklyn Fine Guitars. Would recommend.
Piano tuning and a nice selection of affordable guitars. Great neighborhood go to! Owner is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and just a dam nice guy!
Took my Epiphone Dot in for a set up. They estimated a week and I got it back in two days. Under promise and over deliver - I love it!
My guitar also sounds so beautiful and feels incredible. Prices super reasonable and transparent (no weird, hidden fees).
Come here for your guitar needs!!
Outstanding in every way. I had a damaged ukulele that I needed fixed, fast, and the folks at Brooklyn Fine Guitars did brilliant work. The uke sounds better than ever. I had it back within a few days. Total raves for this place--from the customer service, to the quality of repairs--to the care they clearly give to everything they do. Brian is a pleasure to work with. The shop itself is really unique and interesting and well worth a visit.
Brian was super helpful and able to do great work on my guitar quickly, since I needed the next day for a gig--he even let me come by when the shop was closed to pick it up! Very much appreciated. The shop has lots of Guild and Yamaha guitars, Banjos, and accessories. They restore vintage pianos and keyboards beautifully as well.
Got my fender bass guitar here. Great customer service and knowledge. Great products. Lots of variety. Great store
Owner Brian is super knowledgeable and friendly. Had the perfect amp for bass/guitar, in stock and at an excellent price. Glad to shop at this local small business!
This is a great, cozy, music store. I brought my old '91 Yamaha acoustic in for a set up and Brian, Brad, and everyone who works here were great. They went way out of the way and put in the extra mile to set up my guitar so that it sounded great and how I liked it. BK Fine Guitars has a real small town feel to it. Whether you're a piano player or guitar player, you just can't go wrong at BK Fine Guitars. Thanks guys!
Awesome shop! Had a great time stopping in this weekend and talking guitars and pianos with the owner. Super knowledgeable and helpful. Wish there were more music stores like this one!
Amazing shop! A wonderful selection of instruments. If you're looking for guitars, vintage keys or affordable, yet perfectly maintained/restored pianos (brands such as Steinway & Sons) this is the place to go!
Great people, too!
I had a great experience in this shop. I went in because I'm helping a friend pick out an acoustic guitar. They have a nice selection as you'll see on their website. Brian and Brad were both friendly and helpful as I played a bunch of their stock. They have a bunch of pianos in there too. Nestled in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, but I easily walked there from Park Slope. As a small business owner I like to put my dollars in locally owned shops when I can. It felt like the record shop I used to hang out in when I was growing up. Good people, good vibes and nice guitars.
I had a little crack where the top was separating from the side on my acoustic guitar. I discovered Brooklyn Fine Guitars after some googling, and they were happy to help out. They fixed the crack, and also adjusted the truss rod and fixed the action so my guitar feels much better now. It took only a few days and the price was in-line with the estimate they gave me. I'm glad I came here, and I'm sure I'll come again if I ever need to.
Love this place, also restores and sells wonderful Pianos
I ordered a guitar offline through these guys after seeing they were a guild distributor. Brian the owner, was quick to help me out with the order and get everything setup. Really treats you more like a friend then a potential customer or way to make money. Shipping was fast and on time. Support your local business and keep these guys running!

Guild Guitars: Crafting Iconic American Instruments for Over 60 Years
Guild Guitars is an iconic American guitar maker that has been crafting handcrafted instruments in the United States for over 60 years. Founded in 1952 by Alfred Dronge, Guild quickly established itself as a premier manufacturer of high-quality guitars that were built to be played.
Over the years, Guild has produced a wide range of guitars, from acoustic and electric models to archtops and basses. Each instrument is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and features top-quality materials such as solid woods, premium hardware, and custom pickups.
One of the things that sets Guild apart from other guitar makers is its commitment to innovation. From the early days of the company, Guild was known for pushing boundaries and experimenting with new designs and technologies. This spirit of innovation continues today, with Guild constantly exploring new ways to improve its instruments and enhance the playing experience for musicians around the world.
Another key factor in Guild's success has been its dedication to craftsmanship. Every guitar that leaves the company's factory is built by hand by skilled artisans who take pride in their workmanship. This attention to detail ensures that each instrument not only looks beautiful but also sounds amazing.
Guild guitars are also known for their versatility. Whether you're a blues player looking for warm tones or a rock guitarist seeking searing leads, there's a Guild model that will suit your needs perfectly. And because each instrument is made with care using only top-quality materials, you can be sure that your investment will last for many years to come.
In addition to producing exceptional guitars, Guild has also played an important role in shaping music history. Many legendary musicians have relied on Guild instruments throughout their careers, including Richie Havens (who famously played a custom-made six-string at Woodstock), Eric Clapton (who used his F-212 jumbo acoustic on his classic MTV Unplugged performance), and Tom Petty (who favored his Starfire IV electric).
Today, under the ownership of Cordoba Music Group (CMG), which acquired it from Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in 2014; The brand continues its legacy as one of America's most respected guitar makers while embracing modern technology advancements like CNC machines without compromising quality or craftsmanship standards.
In conclusion,
If you're looking for an exceptional guitar made by skilled artisans who are passionate about their craft; look no further than guild guitars!
