Rooms/place is very dated. Had a tube tv. Had a ceiling fan, kinda weird as looked over 20 years old. Floor was damp, probably from foundation cracked or something, so get a second floor room. Also if you use a wheelchair this is the wrong place as my wife had a really hard time with the distance to the room with a walker as there are stairs not level to get from car to ground floor rooms. To save a buck or two a must do, I guess. Been happier in a Motel6 or Days Inn.
Excellent place to play golf. Linda court, beautiful landscapes
The all you can eat Mother's day brunch was excellent. Omelet station w/fresh bagels, fresh & delicious, roast beef, chicken, shrimp, all done right. Lots of sides to enjoy: mac & cheese, cornbread, roasted potatoes, salad bar, to name a few, were like mom's! Really enjoyed the atmosphere as comfortable! Excellent Chef's!
The staff is friendly. The location is close to everything we wanted. The bed was comfortable. The rooms are in much need of improvement. The old smoke and musty smell irritated my allergies. The breakfast is undesirable.
i booked 3 double bed suites and was promised side by side, when I got there to check- in - it was not available - I was told that the families for these rooms did not check out. I did not know that this resort place is a motel style - smells terrible - fried rice on the table, chairs filthy, bathroom sink messy. My sick mother could not stayed - We wanted to stay just for a night, my sister was so upset as soon as she entered the rooms she exploded with anger, the hall way was very filthy with the smells of pee. Men were speaking on the top of their lungs - my family was so scared they could not stay. I would not recommend decent families to stay in this dump. It was a terrible mistake to book this place - looks pretty from out side but ugly inside.
The place is in a questionable shape. It doesn't worth the money they ask.
Im only giving it 1 star because i have to leave a rating. This was the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed in. This is really a motel. Only good thing is the golf course, location, and scenery. The rooms are outdated and smell terrible!!!!! The carpet probably hasn't been cleaned in gods know how long. No fridge in the room and they have the nerve to charge $134 per night. Complete joke!!! I will never come back. If this motel was $50 thaaaaaaaat would be priced accordingly. The food was subpar.
Looks like the floor or going to out from the upstairs
I visited for their Mother's Day Brunch. The staff was pleasant... there was a large variety of food, but the flavors wasn't all great. All in all, we had a great time with family.
It was an awesome stay very clean environment staff is very friendly and nice. First hotel we stayed in where you didn't have to ask for extra towels....BIG THUMBS UP AND THANKS FOR AN AWESOME VISIT
The hotel is not clean, everything is dusty. I called the hotel's restaurant to advise that I was missing a fruit cup that Inordered and the restaurant attendant was beyond disrespectful and rude. She even said " I will transfer you to someone else because I am busy". How dare she say that to a hotel guest!!!!!
The staff is excellent from who receives you to who is in the restaurant. It is a simple place, but very central.
It a dump....
Need refurbishing
The whole nine yards
Golf course has a narrow layout and trouble is on each side of the hole. Fairly difficult short course. Conditions are okay. Range is into water and putting green is reasonable.
Management did not honor published rate for the south florida premier card members. The manager said they are just an affiliated course and can change the rate at their discretion. I paid 20 dollars above the published rate today for a course that is just average. I feel that the management is taking advantage of the times, needles to say i will not play this course again.
Attended an event at the hotel and was very disappointed. The property is very dated, smelly, musty. The food for the event was a chicken which was over cooked. However the Salmon was good per my co-workers. The liquor was no names and this despite the price they charged us. The DJ was pretty lame. Overall I do not recommend this venue for any event until they invest in remodeling.
Wild the facade for this hotel is nice and the staff are helpful the rooms are old and aging. The bathtub had stains from wear and tear although it was cleaned and the walls had hair from the previous gifts. That being said this hotel is $35 cheaper than most others in the area and is very comfortably livable if you're here just to spend the night in the rooms.
Have stayed here several times. The front desk has new staff that are not so friendly
Not worth the price. Needs major updating and cleaning. Rude employees. Uncomfortable beds. Hot/cold on and off type of shower. My door didn't even lock properly. Bartender was rude. Food/Bev manager didn't know much and wasn't used to doing anything after he mentioned changing careers from a high paced location to this.
Amazing front desk staff. But the floors and bathroom were very dirty. Sadly my feet were black after walking around getting ready after my shower. And I had to put a towel on the floor in the shower bc it was so slippery n slimy feeling. The front desk was super friendly tho above and beyond great customer service...I just really felt the room was dirty :( 5 stars customer service all the way tho!!!
Needs to explain all the taxes, etc. Not included in price!
Great course, helpful staff. Definitely coming back.
A very classy place. Food is fabulous but the music is first-rate. They need to advertise more to get more people out. Once they do this place would be hot.
Good course for the money. Offers 9 hole rate, all the workers are accommodating..carts have GPS
When reviewing this venue, it's all about managing expectations. Grand Palms has seen its better days, and it appears not much money has been spent to keep it updated. On the other hand, given the price I paid compared to hotels in the area, I received a good value for my money. I had a clean room, a cold air conditioner, and friendly and accommodating service (I asked for an early check-in...they said no problem, come as early as you need to!). The free continental breakfast is bare bones, but I'm OK with hot coffee and a bowl of cereal. If you're not the finicky type, this place will serve your needs...at a price about $35 - $40 less per day than others close by.
Quiet and relaxing, great location. However, place needs better maintenance and it is very outdated. Website is a bit deceiving in terms on how it looks. Felt like I was in Dirty Dancing. I did leave important documents and that were safely returned. For that, I gave 3 stars. Sadly will not be returning again.
Nasty..nasty place....not even worth $25 for a night...
I give this hotel zero stars the shower curtain had mildew on it I woke up with bites all on me terrible place will never go there again .
Needs work! Stayed a few nights on a business trip. At one time, this hotel / resort was probably quite majestic! The view of the golf course is beautiful! The room was very dated and felt dirty. I found a Marijuana roach under the soap that was laid out on the bathroom counter. The area does not feel safe! Men hanging around smoking outside. Loud! If you want a quite place to get rested up, this is not it! I will say that the breakfast was nice (with a $5.00 upgrade), as was the staff.
From the road, this hotel has a calm, well kept, villa style appearance, which proves to be the exact opposite upon closer examination. This hotel has a complete inability to update rooms and bring them up to standards fit for a "resort". I immediately found a massive MOLD problem under the sink. The entire board in the vanity is rotted out and COVERED IN MOLD. This place must not have done any upkeep on their rooms since the 80s. The furniture in the rooms is 80s era furniture that is banged up from use over the years. I would assume the beds are the same way. Very stiff, rigid feel that makes you feel like your in a Motel 6. The carpet is dated and just looks like it was very poorly vacuumed. Bottomline: There are genuine functional problems not just cosmetic problems here. The cosmetic problems need to be addresses if this place wants to taken seriously as a hotel and resort.
Seem to have abandoned Covid-19 ptotocols - doubling up on carts!! Play at your own risk!!!!
You can book and pay with AMEX however the refused to allow me to use AMEX for incidentals. The free breakfast is bread, fruit, cereal and water. Ceiling fan in the room has layers of dirt on the blades. Shower curtain has mildew. In my second day of my stay and no room service. Hotel is quiet and great golf course.
The staff was nice, but the hotel room needed updates badly & smelled. I m pretty sure, judging from the hard/crispy eggs, that breakfast had been reused for several days. It was pretty gross.
It was OK. No parking near my room..But friendly staff.
Not a hotel, it's a motel worth maybe 50 dollars a night, the room stinks like a sweaty armpit, the carpet is disgusting(my feet were literally black after walking on it after a shower), the wifi doesn't work half the time and when it does it is slow and blocks netflix and hulu, you can feel the springs under the mattress and the sheets are super itchy. If you see this priced over 50 dollars do not stay here, i stayed in plenty motels in my life and they outclassed this place by a landslide.
The location is ok and a good view of the golf site. Everything else is not so good.
27 hole golf course + 137 rooms, located in the heart of Pembroke Pines, 15-20 minutes from the beaches
We attended a social event at the grand palm hotel in the 312 restaurant/lounge. The lounge had a great ambiance and was great for meeting up with small groups. We had a great a time and would recommend this to others.
Very disappointed with staff and cleningness. The guy in the front desk was extremely rude and when we asked to speak with a Manager there was none. Bathroom dirty, carpet looks like it they havent vacumm in years and the hallways again dirty. Stay there for 2 days and not once i saw a maintenance or cleaning staff. At night on my way to room i saw Rats running along the hall.. The list is long u guys get the point, this place is not what it looks like in pictures either. My friends dont be fool and im not mentioning the horrible unclean suite that my sister stay. This is not a 3.4 star hotel not in a million year...and to end the rooms we reserved online were not available horrible experience...
Dump...low life country club. Rooms run down. Breakfast disgusting.
I had a great experience here for my sweet 16. Not a lot of parking space. Very nice decor and outdoor landscapes.
An absolutely beautiful hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights and it was a joy.
The staff were ultra friendly and always so helpful.
Rooms were clean and always stocked with fresh towels and toiletries.
The Continental breakfast was really good. The staff there were friendly and the food was fresh and hot always .
If you are in the area I would highly recommend staying here for your trip .
Very nice resorts wood recommended for a nice relaxing weekend for anyone
I've played golf at Grand Palms Golf Club a number of times with a good friend, including just recently. It's easy to get to just off of I-75 to the west from the Pines Blvd exit. There's a hotel on the property as well as tennis courts... neither of which I've experienced unfortunately.
Once on the property you can either valet your vehicle or self park not too far away. Grand Palms has three 9-hole courses to choose from - Grand, Royal and Sabal. You can technically play them in the order you'd like. The driving range let's you launch balls into a large lake which is unique. And the putting green is a nice size, albeit un-impressive.
The course isn't exactly pristine. The tee boxes are beat up and in need of some care. The greens are especially in need of some care.
The course in general doesn't have all that much water, but on the holes where there is water, I of course find a way to give up a ball or two to the bottom of it... because I'm a magnet for water. The pace of play is typically pretty good. It's not often you get stuck behind some sluggish groups ahead of you. And finally the beverage cart made an appearance a couple of times which was enough.
Inside the restaurant on site you'll find a average bar - nothing impressive, though not bad.
Overall a nice course to enjoy a casual round of golf with family and/or friends. You may even want to use this course as a practice course if you're still learning and improving your game (like I am).
This place has bed bugs, and Cockroaches everywhere. Kitchen disgusting, no eggs, meats, nothing. Service is trash.
The room was cramped. The bed was very comfortable but they have a problem with very large roaches. The whole place is in need of an up grade.
Good stay, the hotel staff very friendly and willing to resolve any situation that may arise
Horrible Terrible Worthless Room was Dingy Dark Ceiling Fan Hit the Armoire Couldn't use Queen Size Bed Also hit the floor When I Sat Down Nasty!! Likely as Old as Resort Maroon Colored Drapes and Green Carpets Sheets We're Clean But Doubt Mattress was. Had we Time Would have Checked out and Gone somewhere else. The Golf Resort Side was decent and we Ate a Burger in Clinic by Golf- Was good I would not Recommend to Anyone !! They Need to Revamp Replace Beds Paint Walls & New Carpets & Window Covering Sad to See what was once Nice so Dang Nasty Do.Not Plan a Wedding or Conference here You Will be Better off Going Somewhere else!!!
What I like:
1) I enjoy the scenery and lots of critters running around.
2) My room was clean and appears to be recently renovated.
3) The cleaning people are nice and friendly.
4) Located in a very nice area.
What I didn't like:
1) The bathroom is very small.
2) I have to walk quite a distance to and from the parking lot.
3) The receptionists are professional but some are impersonal and a bit testy (which cost a star in my book).
4) I often smelled marijauna which I didn't like but that's to be expected at any hotel I guess.
5) My debit card was double charged the last week, the second time without authorization (is that legal?).
Would have been higher but no microwave no mini refrigerator no bible not even pen and paper. Smh oh yeah and only 1 socket works but it's all the way by the bathroom. Breakfast was ok not many options.
HORRIBLE. Pillows uncomfortable lump.Mattress TOUGH...NOT FIRM Tub dirty. AC noisy. Tractor on golf course start to mow at 6:30 am Towels dingy and one was frayed. Careful with shower. Primitive cable/TV. Never again!
Make an exit before time reversed a long time after a pending day and stay with the deposit eye with that should be returned immediately firm. Terrible breakfast and attention is unfortunate for a high price. I do not recommend it, just good beds
If I could give a negative star review I would!! Bathroom dirty, water came out of the wall near the toilet! I asked for extra towels that never came! I complained to the front desk who did not say a word not even a sorry! I was afraid to eat there!! Funny thing is the name "Grand Palm Hotel-Spa and Golf Resort" The place has potential if who ever owns it would sell and new owner did a make over from top to bottom and hires top notch management. Until then I will not stay there!
Enjoy the golf courses the food and the restaurant was good
Had my bridal shower in the country club and it was BEAUTIFUL. Great brunch on Sundays that are buffet and bottomless mimosas! The staff is also very friendly and the view is beautiful on the golf course.
Everything in the room is outdated from the furniture to the television. The room also had a weird smell and the furniture is filthy. For the amount they charge, this place should be a lot better. The pool is under renovation but the hotel is located in a great area.
A lot of the rooms were no good. The place needs a lot of upgrading, upholstery, and cleaning. I could not sleep at all, due to the feeling of being bitten all night. Totally can not walk on the carpet with your shoes off, your feet become absolutely black. Just totally something you don't expect considering they are west of Pines. The pool is a very nice size, however it needs a few constructing details.
Place is run down and tired, people smoking weed in stairways
