Grand Café Helder

We visited this restaurant during our weekend away in Renesse. It is wonderful to relax in fish restaurant Helder. The staff is very friendly too with children and dogs. There is a varied menu for both fish and meat, and there are also children's dishes. A topper in Renesse.

For the service and around it I would give 5 stars !!
We have reserved via the Internet and all queried was meticulously met. Children's chairs were ready, a play area was set up directly at the table and at the seats of the children were pictures for coloring and crayons ... TOP and also typical for NL :)

The food was not great. As a "not fish fan" I ordered the burger. This was dry and really sparse for 16 ...
The fish offer, however, is great. The fish eaters among us were satisfied !!! The kids unfortunately not (kibbeling).

Cozy restaurant, very good food and not having to wait long. The service was very friendly. Afterwards we went through a beautiful sunset and satisfied and relax back home with a couple

An exclusive restaurant, attractive, with attention to the customer. The food is made with love, fresh products. Home made fries. It's not cheap but well worth it. Portions are generous. Recommended!

The food was ok, but not a highlight. Everything tasted little flavored. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice, but we had to wait a long time for the food. All in all it was good, but we will not visit it a second time.

Very tasty. Despite not being reserved and very busy inside, we still got an extra table and served on time.

Control was bad. It took 45 minutes for your dish to be served. The bowls at the salad bar were dirty. Just a really bad experience. Never again

Update: first impression stands. Fantastic place.

Nice location, but limited map. Many also not present, for a fish restaurant not best if 2 of the 3 fish dishes on the menu are no longer available (and after about an hour is reported that version 3 is no longer available). Salad bar also almost empty.
Must it be true of tourists, because returning I would not do here soon. Very friendly service

Excellent place to eat fresh fish plates. Very friendly staff and very good price quality level! I just love the local lobsters! Just ate one: half as a starter on a bed of fresh salad and another half as part of a surf & turf (and the steak was excellent as well)! Really recommended! PS: do not forget to reserve a table (especially during the weekend). Enjoy!

Delicious eaten. Nice restaurant. Reserved in advance and asked if our two Flat Coated Retrievers were welcome. They were. On arrival there was a drinking bowl ready at our table and there were dog sweets on the table. Totally nice.

Delicious fish! In Corona times we picked up the food. Was packed very neatly, very generous portions and absolutely freshly baked! Highly recommended!

Takes a long time for your food to be on your plate. The food is decent but they can close the salad bar. How bad that is.

Friendly service and moderate food. I had fish and chips, partner mussels. Cheese after bitterball and beforehand. Good wine. Partner had a lot of problems afterwards. Too bad but we will not be back.

We had the royal seafood platter and it was superb! 60 euros for two people (price per person but suitable for two and the waitress specifies it naturally) .. well-stocked platter of whole lobster, crab, oysters, shrimp, clams. Good wine. Meals served with bread and good fries can be asked for no extra charge. salad bar at will. Nice service. Correct addition considering the quality of the meal. 105 euros with dessert ..

A sign at the entrance said it was fully booked and you could only come with a reservation. We hadn't seen the sign at the garden entrance and were looking for a table. Strangely, we were served anyway and nobody asked about our reservation . The food was good, the wait staff too. Unfortunately, the side dishes were saved.

Tasty round Restaurant form, the lovers of sea products will certainly get their money's worth. We had a snack shelf as starters which you can eat as an appetizer or as a full-fledged starter. As a main course I had the mussels and my partner the oosrescheld lobster. The food was without a doubt top like the service

For many years every year here with a large group (BBQ inside). Generally well arranged.

Big downside is that you do not get tap water if you ask for it (just in addition to the regular drinks such as wine and beer). Explanation requested; it was too much trouble and they prefer to be hospitable in other areas. If they had solved this differently and would just serve tap water, they would have received at least 4 stars.

Very suitable for larger groups (we are usually there with 8 - 16 people).

The table was very sticky. Very little choice and too expensive. Portions very small. As a side dish, you have to share a small bowl of french fries with the cod fillet. Taste is fine. One is not advised of salad self-service. We wouldn't go back.
