If you love great service , excellent food in a casual setting this is the place for you. The Burgers delicious ,the cheesecake with sorbet was divine. From the moment they check you in ( covid safety protocols and contact tracing made us feel safe.) Will try the tasting menu in the dining room on our next trip.
A New York institution, Gramercy Tavern is in my top five places to eat. I recently visited for the new outdoor dining situation - Gramercy Tavern in the Streets. The menu is a smaller selection for obvious reasons, but still classic. The "must-orders" are the oysters, chicken liver mousse (light and whipped texture), and the bolognese. Tables were spaced well enough apart, sanitizer on each table, and it was a pleasant dining experience in true Gramercy Tavern fashion. Can't wait to return.
The restaurant is split into 2, the front part where they serve the ala carte menu and the dining hall at the back for tasting menu.
We went for the tasting menu. It was okay but it did felt a bit underwhelming after all the great reviews we ve heard. Comparatively to the other tasting menu I ve had, this seems to be less value for the price.
I would however say, the ala carte does looks much more impressive. Managed to eye the plates from the ala cart menu whilst walking to the restroom and every plate I saw looks real good. And the price is very reasonable given the setting, location and service.
Fantastic service and ambience. The food was above average but I would have appreciated more spice / peppers. We had the Strozzapreti Duck and hanger steak. The cookies for dessert were to die for.
Excellent food. The Mushroom Lasagna was the highlight. Very original recipe compared the traditional lasagnas in other restaurants. I was also glad to see all food delivered in non-plastic containers. Great value!
You should try it out! In my view, it's one of the better restaurants in town, if not the best. The food and service were both superb. The ride was well worth it!
I ordered the Gramercy burgers for Mother s Day off of Gold Belly. They were absolutely wonderful! Packaged perfectly and were huge and absolutely delicious.
Can t wait to visit this restaurant in person. Until then, I ll definitely be back for more Gramercy delights via delivery!
This restaurant is one of my favorites in the area. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The interior decor is captivating and inviting, and the food here is exceptional. The service and ambiance combined with their delicious menu make an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant.
An impeccable dining experience. Their tasting menu was perfect in its variety of dishes, alternating textures and flavors, and pacing with which each item was served. Excellent, attentive service. Fully deserves its Michelin star rating.
