Fundamental LA

My husband and I visited this quaint restaurant on our first night in California. The staff was so accommodating. I ordered the pork belly. When the waitress deliver our food, she commented about that eating this dish is suppose to be an experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it truly was!

Delicious food and a comfortable ambiance. The turkey breast sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

The food was great. The combination of ingredients were amazing. The only suggestion that I would make, I wish for the chicken would have been organic and the beef would have been organic and grass fed.

Love this place! We live close by and frequently go for a romantic dinner, and I also order their lunch specials. Amazing food, very Farm to table with unique flavor pairings. Everything is super fresh and never makes you feel bad. Their vegetable dishes are insanely good and their burger is one for the books. Additionally their wine selection is top notch, and the restaurant has a great locals-y vibe!

I regularly frequent fundamental with my colleagues. The food is always super fresh and the service is great. The Power lunch special for $14 is a sandwich or salad with a side and a cookie or a brownie. So good. The brussle sprouts are my favorite side.

An amazing experience! I loved every part of my meal; the sandwich, the side, the drink, the dessert. It was perfect! I could not think of a single improvement they could make. The prices were excellent, the service was thoughtful, quick, and kind. A truly wonderful lunch.

I recommend going during lunch for the Power Lunch deal. You get a sandwich or salad with a side and a cookie for $15. I've tried a few different sides now and have been impressed with all of them. The best though? The tater tots. Hands down.

Second visit. This time sat at the bar counter and enjoyed watching the guys cooking swiftly in the open kitchen. The addentends were very nice and hospitable and the food there was creative.

If you go after the tenderness of meat/fish, just like me, you will LOVE the steak tartare and the newly introduced Scottish salmon. I don't know how they did it but the salmon was done so perfectly that the thick cut got uniformly heated and was not a bit dry. I would also recommend the cauliflower and the kale caesar salad.

Lastly, there is a wide choice of wines and beers which really worth a try!
