Excellent service, great food, and wonderful atmosphere. What more could you want?
Excellent service, great food, and wonderful atmosphere. What more could you want?
I've only ever been here for brunch, and I have found most of the dishes to be fairly bland except for the shakshuka. It's fairly spicy, and the thing I order every time, but there's not enough depth of flavor to make me come more than once every few months.
Good food , great service ,very attentive and fun atmosphere. A very French cafe bistro feel !
Great Neighborhood BIstro. They are open late and the food is good. Breakfast, Brunch, Dinner, late night menu, Bar. I'm a repeat offender
Great place to sit outside when weather is good, I ate the salmon and it was just delicious (although not very big)
nice French restaurant in UWS. I , unfortunately, chose a night that ended up colder than expected, so dinning outdoors was a challenge. The menu doesn't come cheap. And I found myself not overwhelmed by a comprehensive abundance of taste. Maybe I wasn't on my best that day, or just the escargots ...
Now that I am married, I brought my wife and she fell in love with macaroni cheese.
There is nothing French about this place (apart perhaps the name). I had breakfast with my partner we both were disappointed by the poor quality of pastries - the croissants were not fresh and the coffee under average
French roast is amazing. Great food and drinks, lovely atmosphere, very inclusive of all.
Best food Great atmosphere and Kind people Deadly combination a Heaven in this concrete jungle
One of my favorite spots in the UWS, not only because it is just a minute from my apartment ;)
The restaurant is open 24\7, which is good if you want good food in the middle of the night, and not just pizza or junk food.
The atmosphere is great! Dim light, great background music (!) and quiet enou...
Was very excited to experience French Roast with my girlfriend as we read reviews and saw the amazing pictures. The inside is lovely, the dining experience was homey and felt like I stepped back in time! The waiter was very kind and brought us water and coffee right away, we ordered the french toast...
Friendly place with prices and quality of food. Very goooood
I went in Roma few months ago and that place made me travel back there! The owner and staff members are amazing. Food is great as well (I'm french so imagine how hard is to compliment an italian place... hahahaha) love it! I got the ribeye, well made! I'll come back!
A fav location for delicious French food. Prices are decent for the quality.
The drinks and food here are amazing. I'll definitely be back.
They serve big dishes and for fair rates. friendly staff. Great work.
It was a great surprise. We enjoyed both excellent service and a delightful lunch. (Baked goods we're notably great). Thanks!
I've always been a fan of the location in the Vill, and this spot on the Upper
West Side, while different has a lot in common with it. In a real good way.
First off, it's tucked into a nice little corner of Broadway. It adds to the warm
and dulcet environment you walk into. I've done most of my h...
Cozy and fun French bistro on the Upper West Side, serving well-portioned and tasty French and American food. For dinner tonight, I had the red snapper - nicely cooked, and the rice that accompanied it was cheesy and amazing. Someone had More
It was good but their crembrule was burnt on top. And I recieved my wine glass dirty. I didnt even get a refund for it. Only a new glass.
A fun place with food with homemade flavor. Good option!
I love going here for coffee of course and their big ole burger, which I get with cheddar cheese with a side of fries. It's one of my favorite places uptown to get my burger on. It's big and juicy every time.
This is also a great spot to chill with a friend with a glass of wine or coffee. A nice...
It's bizarre. They don't serve French Roast coffee. :>((
Very nice socially distanced meal with multiple keto options
My go-to breakfast place. Good service, usually not too crowded. Food is always solid.
The food is alright... Not really good on flavor, oily, small portion and expensive.
Great food selection, YUMMY, they have liquor, espresso, annnd high-chairs. Love!
So I happened to be around the area waiting for some friends to go to the movies and I stumbled upon this gem for a quick brunch. I am beyond happy to have had extra time to myself because the food was amazing! I had a Croissant Sandwich which contained smoked bacon with scrambled eggs and gruyere c...
Easily one of the most consistent bistro style restaurants in NYC. Their liver is amazing so even if you think you hate it, give it one more try. The staff is great and doesn't hover to make you feel like you've stayed too long and it's a great atmosphere for either a first date or just meeting with...
Service was awful and the wait for our food was forever
This is our favorite brunch spot on the UWS. The service is spectacular, the atmosphere is chill, and the food is exceptional.
You will find the MOST delicious food here and what is surprising is the amount of attention you will receive from wait staff who want your experience to be flawless. Cocktails are inspired and chefs are on display, making this tiny treasure a find you won't want to miss!
Easy, delicious and always open. Classic French fare and lovely service.
I didn't like the French fries, they weren't cooked enough but my other friends liked the onion soup and kale and beet salad they ordered. The service and vibe were good. The prices were fair. We will probably visit again.
My omelette was raw. I sent it back. Good service for a Sunday brunch.
Food was terrible. Service was insulting. The manager would not accommodate us. He ignored us. Will not go back.
Would absolutely recommend visiting this place. Awesome ambience, delicious dishes, fantastic customer service. They never disappoint.
It s a fav restaurant for my brother and I! Food is always delicious. Atmosphere is cozy and nice! Staff is friendly and kind!
Food was amazing and service was great always a joy to eat here
I get to eat here a lot since I work in the area. I must say the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the spot well kept at all times. Prices are reasonable and they serve generous portions.
I think they do steak a poivre as well as it can be done.
Just be prepared to spend a lot of money. Place must have great historical significance. I wasn't impressed with the food for what I paid. Maybe if you get really really drunk you won't mind the price tag. Coffee was good but not the espresso. Service was weird and staff had full on private conversa...
Perfect for a good breakfast. Very nice place and ideal deal.
Food was very bland and cold. Extremely disappointing!
Love the easy bistro menu and ambience. Though there's construction going on now. Not the French onion soup perhaps.
At the heart of the UWS lies a very French corner: The French Roast NYC. I would go every day and make it my home kitchen. Well, it delights the senses from a simple coffee with a croissant in the morning to a casserole of clams. Excellent service and cozy al fresco atmosphere, responding to Covid19...
Decent food with mediocre service. A good place to have breakfast before visiting the museum for people that are visiting.
We always have a great time and great food at French Roast. It is a classic and a fixture on the UWS! Keep on truck'n!
Nice neighborhood place. Cozy atmosphere. Good brunch menu
Food is just as good as Paris but with fantastic service.
Felt as though we were cheated. We ordered eggs Benedict and french toast. Both were poorly prepared from the cheapest ingredients.
Hollandaise sauce looked like just melted butter and the poached eggs were cold which suggested they were cooked long before and has been waiting in the luke warm wate...
It s open almost all night which is nice. But the menu is really really limited and the food is average.
Nice space and Friendly staff but do not except any culinary delight. It s open on all holidays which is helpful they just need to revamp the dinner menu. Brunch is almost decent
Sunday morning, sat at a beautiful table outside. 5 minute wait for waiter. Ordered coffee and a sticky pecan bun. 6 minute wait for coffee. 15 min wait for the bun. Pastry is dry, with very little cinnamon or caramel, little bit of nuts. 10 minute wait for the check. No tip, not coming back. Half a...
Waitstaff a little inattentive, menu options need to be a little wider and inspired.
Great place for dinner after a movie. The tarte tatin in particular was lovely.
This restaurant it's soooo good! I'm so happy they're open right now! Delicious brunch
Went tonight and the food was good, and the waiter was nowhere to be found. I told him I'd had an issue with the chicken before and when I got the food he never checked on me. Then when I paid, he asked if I want change. YES!! Always bring my change. It's mine. The food is good to great here, but th...
Cocktails sucks! You have to find another bartender, can t believe a simple margarita tasted so bad!
Tables too close together, too loud. Food ok, not great
I had been wanting to try Petit Trois for some time. So, when Father's Day arrived my family suggested we go for dinner. We had no idea what an exceedingly good decision that was.We arrived and found parking easily in the lot and we were seated immediately. Petit Trois is quite small so the seating ...
An OK brunch spot on the UWS if you forgot to make a reservation somewhere and don't want to deal with the crowds.
I told my friends about this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is flavorable and the stuff is welcoming and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we have a delightful time. highly recommended.
Real good. A bit on the pricey side for what is being served though.
24 hour spot in the upper west side with generous portions and good food.
