Specifically pertaining to my English teacher, Jared, he was very good at teaching and making it fun in the class.

Excel has hleped me improve my score and has given me many rules for reading and writing. It also provided us with multiple equations for different math problems. All the teachers were helpful and were willing to help us with any problems we had.

The tests are a little easier than the real SAT, but good tricks and pretty fun

Excel Test Prep really helped me improve my scores! Their program is great, but it's most effective if you also take practice tests through Exam Club to retain what they teach you.

As a past student, I highly recommend taking advantage of exam clubs because it helped improve my test taking skills in many ways. I also appreciate how teachers taught us tricks to get through each subject. I definitely recommend coming to excel text prep!!

The classes are good, they go over various tips and tricks to improve your scores. I saw a significant improvement in my test scores after taking this class. Most of the teachers were good.

The two week course seems plenty for a student to grasp the way to approach each question but like anything it boils down to practice. That's what will determine how much you will increase your score.

The tips and tricks given by Excel were really helpful, but I wanted more practice tests to improve my score. The essay instruction was very weak and was not helpful at all.

Excel test prep was a great preparatory course that I took a few years ago. I entered the course not knowing much about the SAT or ACT. I took the summer intensive course and learned a lot in just that small amount of time. The teachers were very friendly and available to talk to. The pressure of getting into a good college majorly comes from doing well on the SAT and excel helped me ease that pressure and stress to focus on actually learning and therefore doing well on the exam. Some advice for students taking the exam would be to listen attentively in the classrooms during workshops and take the practice exams like the real ones to ensure your best performance on the actual test!

I've taken countless SAT prep courses across the bay area from obscure ones like "James", "Nancy" (Creekside) to popular ones like Elite and Flex. While I can't say that none of these helped, I can say that Excel was the final test prep center that gave me the 70 points I needed to get my 2320 (old SAT). The teachers and the curriculum here are professional and comprehensive, and I heavily recommend students take Excel before considering any other test prep; it is very likely that this will be the only one that students will have to take.

In the last weeks, the teacher employs the use of bribery and other methods to make us write this review. Writing as a reaction to his/her concern that students should earn higher scores on the SAT, the owner argues that to reverse the trend we must use bribery and exterminate all forms of pleasure and time pass. They have done this by setting 4 hour daily classes and deployed carefully placed advertisements and cunningly spread good reviews through word of mouth. These have somehow reached our unsuspecting parents, who forced us to join this course. In delivering this powerful course, the owner employs strong logical and emotional connections and established real world foundations for her and his point. Pls send help... or pizza. 2/10 would come again.

it was very engaging in terms of the English but the math was lacking greatly but great job to the English teachers.

I had a great time and learned a whole lot in a short amount of time. My score didn't grow as high as I wanted but still improved noticeably in a short time period. I would reccomend this course to anyone who has never had coaching before.

andrew was a good teacher but 5/5 would be absolute and he wasn't perfect

The two week crash course may have helped me, but it was not worth it. The teachers weren t all that enthusiastic. One of the teachers I had said multiple times that he really didn t want to be there. A couple other teachers seemed like they didn t know what they were doing. The random fitness class next door was extremely loud, especially on Saturdays, which is when we had the practice exams. Overall, the minimal help was not worth the expense and my time.

Excel had a lot of material and taught me a lot of tips to help with my SATs. My score improved more than 300 points in a month, but they give you harder tests in the beginning of the course and easier ones towards the middle so that your score improves..bad strategy. They also make it a point to give you candy everyday and pizza occasionally which is great! But one major downside is that in a 4 hour class, we have almost 45 mins break time. Also, during the SAT tests we take during the class, we always started like 10 mins late, so we didn t have enough time to finish our essays. Overall, it was a great experience but it could have been a whole lot more efficient. ;)

My experience at Excel Test Prep was great! The teachers are very caring. They also do a great job at explaining each topic by providing you the set of tools you need to do well on the SAT.

I highly recommend this program for any high school student who is looking to achieve their full potential and gain acceptance to a great college.

Raman and Saumya were very helpful in explaining the questions and why the right answer is actually right. Excel as a whole was a very helpful experience but everyone would have benefited from more reading classes.

I took an Excel class during the summer of 2014. During that time, the scores that I was receiving were not satisfactory for me. After taking the class, my scores improved tremendously to the point where I was very satisfied with the classes. More than the classes though, Excel provides Exam Club which I feel is tremendously important and useful.

Mr. Vineyard is a very engaging teacher and really fun. Future students:if you put your 100% into this class, you can actually learn a lot for any sort of test.

Excel helped me raise my practice score from a 1100 to a 1540. There are quite helpful in terms of learning all techniques and concepts.

I thought Excel was helpful, but I would have liked a little more workshops and classes.

Some advice for the SAT I would suggest is to always review the mistakes made on practice tests and drill concepts in areas where mistakes have been made. In order to understand mistakes made on practice tests, it is important to catalog all incorrect answers. In this way, you will be able to detect error patterns and work on targeting areas of difficulty.

Overall, the class was pretty laid back, so I didn't always hate going to class like some of my other friends did for another program. Even with the relaxed mood, I still was able to increase my score by over 100 points.

Jared combined a good use of academics and fun to keep everyone excited throughout class

I expected the class to be boring but the teachers were actually very interactive and funny. Jared and Doghudje were both very funny and made the class laugh.

The teachers are very interactive and helpful. They help out with all issues school, SAT, or college. Emil and Khoa helped me with college talks and questions about life in general. I would recommend taking this course, free candy, relatable teachers and helpful content!

During my 6 weeks at excel, I learnt so much more than I ever would have expected about the Sat. All the teachers were extremely humerous and nice. They also gave us a lot of food which I appreciated.
