Take out - food arrived late, cold, and missing the most expensive dish, actually it was all overpriced for portions I got. This was a second chance, as the first order was much the same. I suspect the good reviews are from people eating-in, don t bother getting take-out from this place, you ll instantly regret it.

Good food and good service. Price little bit on higher side but worth for quality. Potion size is little less. I recommend to order rasam. That was really awesome. We also ordered biryani which we didn't like. Other things which we ordered were sambhar vada and paneer they both were great.

Very very authentic South Indian food. Freshly made and served with care. The owner is a very friendly fella and is alert to the customers needs and tastes. Understanding my need for my comfort food, after a day long tour of Victoria, without hesitation got me what I needed along with bells and whistles. Warm friendly place with sumptuous food.

Both Quality and service were poor. Second order of sambhar (lentil soup) had different taste than our first order. Even the tomato chutney had too much ginger than usual. We comlained to owner about quality and he assured that he will look into this matter. I will not recommend this place for Dosa. I would rather go to Dosa Factory, kingsway, Vancouver.

Even though Davie Dosa were going to close for the day, the Staff served us with VIP treatment, very delicious Dosa, Samber, idli, Vada, Gulab Jamun. Much appreciate that they did not rush to close at sharp time.
Thank you Davie Dosa,
Special thank to Owner and Emerson.

I really enjoyed the South Indian food at a reasonable price.
First I had two appetizers: 2 vegetable samosas, then rasam (a spicy tomato soup). Then I had a huge potato masala dosa. Thank you for the extra spicy green sauce which was fabulous.
Also they had lovely easy-listening East Indian music which I really enjoyed.

Good service and delicious Indian food at even better value. Nice little restaurant where the owner greets and serves you personally. The only reason for no five star was their front windows aren't sealed and it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. I will still certainly come back.

This is the best south indian place that I have ever been to , there catchy name attracted me and brought us here . I had high expectations and true to that the decor was modern and inviting , the staff super nice and friendly , the menu options were spot on in regard to what u expect from modern south indian cuisine. We were a family of four and shared there hot broccoli and cajun chicken salad , excellent delicate flavour and very fresh , followed up with a assortment of chicken fish and prawn dosas, the taste was marvelous and portion size was very generous, the coconut and tomato chutneys were very delicious , sambhar was so nice we had to request for extra helping, the owner who is also the star chef came over for a chat and he was a very gracious host , sent us a pistachio kulfi ice cream that was homemade it was absolutely divine we were all blown over by the delicate natural taste . The best tasting icecream I have ever had .
Best part about the food is that it's all fresh natural gluten free and healthy. Will definitely be back when ever I am around English bay area . Highly recommended.

The food and service of this place was really good. We were visiting from US and some of my family members had food restrictions. The owner was very nice to accomodate us and make some dishes from scratch. The waiting staff and the owner all made sure we were well taken care off. Good food and friendly staff. Will definitely go again when visiting next to Vancouver.

Instead of having so many places to enjoy with my friends I mostly love to go to Davie dosa because of the quality of the food. The lamb curry made by chef is mindblowing and full of spices that give me feel of South India. Best place for South Indian food and service is also excellent.

I. Love. Dosa.

We were only in Vancouver for 4 days and went here twice. Service was fantastic. Food was superb.

This is 2 different meals for 2 people

Not pictured with dinner was my eggplant dosa. It came a bit late and forgot to take a picture and I scarfed it! The eggplant dosa was really good, very savory.

This place used to be amazing. When they opened, food portions were big, their chutney was great and flavorful. I loved it. Unfortunately, with time, when place got more popular and received a very positive feedback, portions became small, as well as chutney started to be mixed with more water. Someday, I will try this place just to see if anything changed.

Went here for dinner and my friends and I got 3 levels of spicy dosa; I decided to get the spiciest one. Super delicious and flavourful I cannot recall ever having a more yummy Dosa. The Spicy one was very spicy but flavourful at the same time. If you are nearby definitely check this place out, you will not regret it.

Great dosas, refined use of spices and condiments in their recipes, friendly and passionate staff, tasteful and clean interiors. This restaurant is a delight and new favourite for group hangouts with friends.
Deserves the title of best dosa place/south indian food place in town.

I came to this restaurant last year for the first time and since then, this has been my dosa place. I come here atleast once a month. Absolutely love the food and the service. Highly recommend this place. Specially their red tomato chutney. I've never had better chutney, not even in India.

I would order their chicken biryani again - the chicken was very tender and the rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Unfortunately, I can't give a positive feedback for their gulab jamun. Before I had gulab jamun here, the last time I had it was in Montreal in 2014. Back then, I completely loved it and even dreamed about it. But after having a few from Davie Dosa, I don't know if I can enjoy gulab jamun again. Maybe my taste buds changed over the years. The ones here weren't as tasty as I remembered and even had a weird aftertaste.

Wow! Great food. The best dosa restaurant in Vancouver. I had been to almost all the dosa and Indian food restaurants but DAVIE DODA is the best one I found. Not only to eat Dosa instead all the food on the menu are great. Good service combined with good food can be found at this restaurant. The service time is excellent too. I JUST LOVE DAVIE DOSA. Also, the staff is so sweet and polite. Thanks, I strongly recommend it all. Good luck team

Everything we ordered was way too salty. The concept of a la cart is different. If you order curry, it will be served with small bowl of rice and appam (uthappam without veggies on top). There was no chutney for the appam. Flat bread or roti have to be ordered separately. The servings are small and not enough for 1 person who is really hungry or whose diet is good. Not impressed. Two stars are for the service.

Had the house spice masala dosa. I don t have the experience to differentiate the nuanced flavours between it and the regular masala dosa, but it was wholesome and fulfilling. A bit pricy considering you can get dosas in Vancouver for 7 bucks, but the staff was a pleasant pair. Solid 4 from me
