I worked at Donsco from 2016 to 2019 as a finishing inspector, a grinder, machine op in the core department and a trainer for the new hires.
I started energetic, happy, with that naive mindset that nobody is out to get you and I left that place feeling bitter, depressed and paranoid about how the world really works.
I got to experience being a number in a system, breathing in so much foundry dirt that when I got sick I would literally spit it out of my lungs, working in areas with chemicals and no ventilation, harrassment, threats, being put in harms way all for the sake of getting the work done.
I was one of their "golden" workers who actually did above and beyond, I got told so a lot by my supervisors... but that did nothing for my checks, I just got a free pass if I slacked off now and then.
I was injured several times, its a dangerous place to work. I mean it IS a foundry. If you ever get hurt there you are better off talking to a wall about your pain, my neck is still messed up from when I sprained it there and it got as bad as it did because they honestly do not care about doctors notes.
I could go on and on.

Donsco is perfect for you if you want absolutely no advancement, raises or respect and if you want pain in your body for the rest of your life. They're always hiring.

I am currently working at Donsco and it is exactly what I expected. It isnt a super glamorous job and it can be hard work but it really isnt that bad. I think they could use some updating in how they conduct business (internal processes and work instructions) and provide work instructions to employees. Otherwise, show up, do your job, go home. Can be a little dangerous if you arent paying attention but not really too dangerous

Terrible place to work, pay is not enough for the amount of work they require, they are under staffed and have tons of back orders!!! That being said... lots of overtime, they do not train properly expect to get hurt, long term employees are nice when your working around them but then stab you in the back to look good or get ahead . Let's Not mention the amount of crack smokers falling asleep standing up!! Wont be surprised when this company shuts down

I worked at donsco for over 30 years, went to work injured, sick , I was in a supervisory roll for 25 of those 30 years, but then I got sick with a for the most part a terminal illness, because of the illness, I was unable to be on the shop floor where the temperature during the summer months was in excess of 120 deg.
The plant mgr. Jesse Fluck, (who was a decent person) found work I could help with while I was not able to be on the shop floor, all of the work on the shop floor was being completed as needed, but after 30 years of service, with an exemplary attendance record , donsco decided to lay me off indefinitely,
Bottom line, work hard , with diligence and integrity, be there every day, and you'll get your just reward.

This place is a joke...The New HR lady never answers her phone they make up bogus rules as they go ...and then make you sign papers on certain bs that didnt exist if you dont your fired.Then Chris Buck the ops mgr pushes it because he wouldnt last a month 5 10 hr days on the floor working..You got group leads who half dont know and dont do a thing but get paid well..They have a high turnover rate due to upper managements bs....

Started working for them this summer and I love everything about the job.

So I just recently applied to Donsco took my drug screen and never received an email/Call does this mean I didn t get the job..?
