Bill has basically been my Guru as I prepared for a thru hike. He s knowledgeable and has even hiked the Appalachian Trail twice! From bear cans, to tents or sleeping bags, he s been the guy I go to for questions on backpacking. He ll always give you an honest answer. Always great customer service from all staff in store. They have a lot of selection packed into there.
The folks at Cumberland Transit are some of the most helpful retailers I have ever done business with. They repeatedly returned phone calls and helped me deal with a complex issue with my bike with patience and grace. The guys in the bike shop, especially Cory and Josh, provided precise information and showed technical prowess. I highly recommend Cumberland Transit bikes over any other bike shop I have dealt with in my 56 years!
Great experience! I m not from the area but it was time for some new work boots for work so I came here and I m glad I did! The lady in the shoe department knows her stuff she was very friendly and helpful. Told her what I do for work and that I was looking for steel toe and she brought out some boots. It was a smooth and easy buy. If I m ever in the area again I would definitely come here again. All staff is very friendly and helpful!
Great bike & outdoors shop, first contacted them when I switched from travelling Southern Africa to Southern Eastern US as my ThermaRest sleep Matt needed repairing, they delivered the branded permanent patch kit within the hour to my hotel so I could repair it (4hour cure time) on my rest day. Then visited the shop as I left the city and got some great gloves sympathetic to the temperature swing. Thank you very much
My son and I had a great experience shopping for his bike at Cumberland Transit. The guys that helped us were especially kind, very knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. They explained what to expect out of different types of bikes and went over the features with us. They were extremely helpful in recommending a bike based on my budget and my son's needs and activities without pressuring us at all. Our overall experience was stress free as well as educational. I will definitely return to Cumberland Transit and highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a bike.
Went to get my bike serviced. No appointment needed. The service tech was very professional, and put my bike on a stand to do a quick once over inspection while I was present. He was up front about pricing and said they would call if they found anything else and get permission before making any additional repairs. Great customer service goes a long way with me.
My boyfriend and I bought our new Trek bikes here and had an absolutely wonderful experience with everyone who helped us! Will be using this store for all future outdoorsy shopping purposes from now on! So glad we found them 100/10 would recommend to a friend
Pleasant experience. 1st time visitor. No hard sell or push to close. Much larger inside than one might think from the entrance. Diverse selection. Knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.
My 16 year old son and I had the best experience purchasing a bike, helmet and all the safety gear we needed. The staff was knowledgeable, patient, and so helpful. I would highly recommend a visit to this gem of a bike store!
