Buddies is the best place to go for: lunch, dinner, and breakfast!

Here in E.Lansing for TV commercial. The bar was really special. The food good.Service almost to good. I got more attention than I do in in LA.
I really think they are fantastic.Thanks. I'll come back next time in town.

Negative -1 star rating. I'm disgusted with the rude service.
First, I'll say that we have been eating here for 10 years. The food is average good, and so is the service. Its close to home and convenient.
Today I called @ approx. 4:30 to order meal to pick up. The bartender kept telling me that she couldn't hear me. She didn't want to take the credit card over the phone- which I have been doing for years. I asked for it to be done at 5pm. I was delayed due traffic so when I arrived I called to ask if they could bring the meal to my car as i am handicapped and didn't have my leg braces with me. Again the bartender said she can't hear me- I spoke louder and she then said "DONT YELL AT ME!" I tried to explain that she said she couldn't hear me- again I asked her to bring it out to my car. She got mad and said I was yelling at her. She then said- I'm just going to cancel your order. and hung up. I called the owner- asked if she could hear me- TerriLynn said she could hear me just fine. Based on this very rude bartender behaving the way she did- We will not return. This was just plain rude. There are plenty of restaurants that appreciate our business.

SLOW service, meh food. Will stick to the Buddies in Okemos.

Best service ever this lady was running around and got my whole family a meal and not mine and we realized that I had not ordered my food and she said I am sorry I forgot to ask you and she came back and said I will pay for your meal

Average to say the least. Typical bar food, service is average. Prices are fair. It off the beat and path so it's not usually that busy.

This is a great place with a nuce outdoor patio. The food is excellent and variety is pretty good. Be aware - this location is more of a bar when compared to Holt or Okemos and the menu is different feom tje other locations. Overall, I like Buddies and its a good sports bar.

Have only ate there but the food was pretty good. Wasn't busy when I was there, but it was a day before Christmas.

Service is really good usually when I first get there. Then second shift comes in and I get ignored. So I gave the 3 stars for the first shift service that serves me when I first walk in there, because they're great. After that when the second shift waitress comes in, she could care less if I get served or not. She ignores me every dang time, until I finally say something to get her attention. I'm getting really tired of it too.

The Car Show on Friday makes it a good time and the food was really good

This place has amazing food. Their nachos are some of the best I've ever had. The portion is huge. Their Cajun pasta is also fabulous. Fresh ingredients are obvious in their dishes. Even my side salad with my dinner was very fresh and crisp (plus the ranch is made in house... it's good!). My gf got a strawberry daiquiri on special but it wasn't very good, although it had a nice presentation (drink was watered down tasting). Prices are average for the portions you get. I keep coming back and leaving satisfied so if you're on the fence give it a shot!

Maddy is the BEST server I have ever had. She was soooooooooo fast.

I will not eat here again!! Our son had Mac n Cheese, my wife had a wet burrito and I had chips n cheese w/ ground beef added.

Both my wife and I were sick the following day (August 14th, 2020).

Side note, our waiter was really good.

French dip was very good, onion rings overcooked and very greasy. Kitchen seemed to be slow but wait staff very attentive

Because I love this place. But, if you are looking for the best nachos in East Lansing, well, the best garden nachos, these are decent but.... Look elsewhere.

Its a simple restaurant with cold beer and good variety of pub and homestyle meals. The burgers are always freshly made and the cooks aren't afraid to branch out with their daily specials.

We had a great server but the food was disappointing. The Boston clam chowder that was a featured special was like mashed potatoes that got scooped from a bucket that was frozen for 3+ months and then thawed out and a small can of clams mixed in. The salad special was very good. The pot roast wasn't a pot roast.

Great bar, beyond amazing staff, pretty darn good food (if you're lookin for an after bar crawl place, this IS the one you desire).

Only negative I have is the jukebox; Touchtunes. It supposedly goes offline often. Found out they will take it offline on purpose to let regulars and staff play songs from their phones. Seriously; I'de love to not have to pay Touchtunes, but I guess that 6 years of coming here just doesn't cut it.

Server, Jen, was friendly and attentive. Drinks were refreshing and delicious. Smoked wings were the best I've had.

They had sweet potato tots. I found that to be the coolest thing ever.

Best Berger I've had in a while. Our server Jennifer was attentive and friendly. The food came to us in a timely manner. Will definitely go back!

Double dipped Monday sauce wings are the best wings I've ever had in my life... and I've eaten a lot of wings.

Buddies is a bit of an odd place; strangely good vegetarian options in the middle of a neighborhood bar.
Fridays can commonly be had enjoying good food with even better Karaoke.

It was chill when I was here. Not sure if it gets super crowded though. The food was just mediocre.

Delicious Hot Dogs. Today had it with mozarella and bacon. Always friendly service and hot food.

Food is good, very reasonably priced, service is decent. The rating is because nothing is spectacular about the place. But it's a nice little sports bar.

Food was inedible. I have pics of the brick of a steak I received. It was shameful. Couldn't even rip it apart with 2 hands, it was so cooked to death. Don't eat here. They obviously don't care.

Buddies was rocking out when my wife and family went there on Saturday night. Good food and great sounds. Loved it.

Ordered to go. Ordered a build your own burger with Swiss cheese, bacon, pickles, mushrooms, fried egg, mustard, ketchup and mayo. Came with NO mayo, NO ketchup, NO mustard, NO pickles, NO cheese and NO fried egg, but came with onion, lettuce and tomato. What a way to mess up an order!

We have eaten here fifteen times or more and our orders have always been right. That counts for a lot in my book. Food is good and well priced.

Food is pretty good, craft beers on draft rotate frequently but are limited in selection. Pub trivia every Wednesday, but is usually crowded. Friendly Staff. Pool table. Clean bathrooms.

Great place, got the nachos and the were huge. Definitely recommend splitting with someone, or buy the half.

Build a burger with lots of bread and topping options. All entrees prepared as ordered and were very tasty. Service was quick and friendly.

Good food and friendly service. I like that the bar side and restaurant side are separated enough that you feel like you are truly in two different places. You can go hang out with friends or take the family -- just pick the side that works best for you.

Food is tasty, with enough choices on the menu for everyone to find something they'll like. Casual and comfy place to visit.

I went when they had just opened for the day on a Saturday, so I can't speak for the evening or night crowd. However, at noon on Saturday it's quiet and more family oriented. Several televisions line the place with all sorts of sports. I had the black jack sandwich and it was prompt, perfectly prepared and loaded up with fries. Above average bar food to be sure. Will be attending regularly as it's good food, beer, service, and located just around the corner!

Here every Wednesday for Trivia (8:00)! They've got pretty great food and rotate a few of their taps seasonally. They used to have half off pizza on Wednesday but not anymore #bringitback.

The specials are normally great too.

The few things I wouldn't recommend would be the gyro (extremely dry meat and just unsavory all around) and DON'T get the goulash if it is one of their specials. It literally tasted like dog treats (yes I know what they taste like from my childhood).

Otherwise I haven't been disappointed. Their nuts and berries salad is fantastic!

We love Buddies not just because it's close to home but because it's like home. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable.

I was so happy to be back after so many years of fun and singing karaoke, i'v been gone for over 10years. Seeing Maria was such a joy. Jo was my waitress, dear old friend, god bless you guys xoxoxo.

Went with friends and family. Never knew this location existed. Food and drink offerings have different options.

Really Good service, good kids meal, good burgers, burritos, and wraps. Pizza was decent... Great ranch

Honestly the most disappointing restaurant I have visited in a long time. Slow service. Our server took 15 minutes after drink order to return to us. The restaurant wasn't even all that busy, but our waitress walked out of the kitchen ever 5 minutes or so, stopped by 1 table, then walked away.

Even the food was bad. I was with my father. He got the pot roast. Pot roast should cooked tender, and he had to use a knife to saw the bites apart. I ordered their daily special, which was bland salmon patties. Our "appetizer" was delivered with our food, and although we were told it "came out at the same time" all the food that was delivered to us was warm, not hot off the grill.

I am not from around here, but my recommendation is to look elsewhere for a meal.

They have a great menu with so many choices and everything is SO GOOD. Their chicken dumpling soup is our go-to on any day. They have pretty great servers, Shanna is our favorite. We highly recommend Buddies!

It was ok. Salad looked delish ( chicken Cobb for hubby) cauliflower pizza was good, just really small and my garden nachos were ok.

Food is good- loved the seasoned fries and the sandwich I got. The waitress was great. She was very friendly and attentive without overdoing it.

Buddies is a hopping place. Many good food specials . A great happy hour..and good drink options . Free popcorn is a nice touch that makes for an instant appetizer.
Also good sports viewing options.

This restaurant (found on BringFido.com) is indeed dog-friendly for dining on the patio. The food was good and my half southwestern salad was more than enough for dinner. Our waitress was fabulous with our dog (Great Dane), bringing ice water for his dish (we brought our own dig dishes) and even asking if he needed more when she came back to check on us. We ordered him a plain chicken breast and they were happy to accommodate that request.
